  • this songs pretty good :D

  • check the video "roberto cevallos muller" and watch the end............this is real

  • he- seth roberts- has a new band called the lakes. google militia group for info.

  • Wow! I am so glad I found this. This takes me back....

  • this is one of my all time favorite songs

  • The lead singer looks like a really friendly guy

    :)

  • this song brings back so many memorys, Cool!

  • I love their music. they came and played at my church years ago for my youth group. God bless you all.

  • It's funny how music tastes changes. I've had this song in my music library for like 5 years and never really got through listening to it all the way, and now I love this song. Very simple, but very good.

  • damn i wonder what happened to these guys they went off the map lol.

  • Watashi wa broke up in July 2004, but in a deal with Tooth & Nail, singer/guitarist Seth Roberts' new band Eager Seas, who were signed to the same label, released their first album under the name Watashi Wa before leaving the label. The band made it clear that they were parting ways with the label peacefully, but also that the band would be changing their name after the release in order to separate themselves from the fiasco attached to the names of both Watashi Wa and Eager Seas.

  • Watashi Wa is Japanese and roughly translated means, depending on the context, "I", "myself", or, "As for me". Fans have speculated that this is a reference to the Biblical "I am", a phrase used throughout the Old and New Testament of the Bible by God and Jesus. It may also be a reference to Joshua 24:15 "As for me and my household, we will serve the LORD".

  • Lol, for a minute, I figured they were Japanese by the name xD

  • So why did they name themselves "I" in Japanese? Like why not some other language? Do they have some link Japan somehow? I've been trying to find this out with no luck....help?

  • because they had a japanese friend. Who was a really smart guy. That's why Watashi Wa.

i read it alooong time ago.

  • Thanks :)

  • yeah Watashi Wa means "I Am" as in The Great I Am being God. it's what he calls himself. cool they chose that as the band name.

  • this song is so amazing :]!

  • watashi wa is japanese for i am awsome!

  • Wow, this song reminds me a lot of sophomore year in high school when I first heard them sing in a show once <3 about five years ago, I think :)

  • i love the message of this song kinda related to Jesus

  • Hooray!! Watashi wa!! Love them so much. :)

  • very cool band

  • Watashi Wa means...

Well, for example, if I were to say Watashi Wa Zerojett desu, I am zerojett. So, it is like saying I am.

  • Watashi Wa means I

    ..in JAPANESE!! WOOOOH JAPAN!!!!

  • yay i luv it!!!! ^^

  • Wow tenia mucho tiempo de escuchar esta canción y es maravilloso volver a escuchar, solo me recuerdo de mis primeros años en la Universidad

  • I love this song! it's my all-time favorite (in english) song

  • flashback.. whoaaaaa

  • i'm pretty sure the guy playing guitar in this video was never even in the band.. Lane (drummer) Roger (bass) also played in a band called Briertone (still active band but Lane and Rog are no longer with them) and Seth's current project is called Lakes and they are with the Militia Group.

  • this band is pretty cool..

the background of the trees.. isnt it from underoath - its a dangerous video?

  • maybe, they'r also a debut in that thoot n nail 'songs of the penalty box'

  • Yeah! Reminds me of Mae and other cool bands!

  • i don't understand this video... -.-

  • Probably has some sort of religious theme to it. The band is very Christian, especially both Seth and Luke(the guitarists). I think it also fits in with the whole "Love of Life" theme they had with the CD.

  • thanks dude!! YOUR THE MAN!!! tnx for posting!!

  • yes!!! i FINALLY get to see this!!!

    *sigh*

  • The video is also on the Watashi Wa "Eager Seas" disc! I tried to put it up here, but it was too big, and I didn't have anything to shrink the size of the video.

  • Try using Zamzar(.com), convert the file to .flv

    Hope that helps!

    Looking forward for the video!

    Ciao :)

  • Zamzr rules!!! oyur a fool if you dont use it to convert. Its that good!(to me anyway)

  • san luis obispo, california, united states
