@xxxholic9895 Actually, she was introduced in the Justice League comic, where she had been a backup supporting character since the 1960's . Z didn't become associated with Bats until the Animated series. It was writer Paul Dini who coupled up his two favorite characters in that show.

@tellytubies123 We all feel that way, but there is a lot of crap about the rights to Batman; I think they do it so they won't end up with another Batman and Robin. I'm sure they'll eventually get Batman in some form

The whole rights ting also applied to Justice League Unlimited, was there was no more Joker in the series. That really pissed me off. So much for these characters being for our entertainment, eh?

I highly doubt that Batman will appear in Smallville. Firstly, the series' overall tone wouldn't do justice for the character, especially since Batman is a significantly grittier person than Superman. Secondly, with the show's "no flights, no tights" rule, what would the point be in having Batman without wearing the cowl or cape or formfitting body armor? Thirdly, with Batman being a much more realistic superhero, given his human status, he wouldn't fit in Smallville's fantastical universe.

technically they did acknowledge Batman. Chloe tells Clark that she's not going to get him a bat-signal or something like that. And in the episode with Tori Spelling, she says that she wants to see Gotham City from the view of her office.

I disagree with you, my friend. While you are absolutely correct that Batman is a grittier character than Superman, that doesn't mean their two contrasting personas can't go well together. Don't you watch Justice League, or have you not seen the number of Superman: TAS episodes with Batman in them? Superman and Batman are like the number one team-up in the DC universe, they are ALWAYS together.

I completely agree, but my friend said they should at least have Clark meet Play boy Bruce Wayne, just to say he does exists, she said it would be an interesting meeting too. I have to agree. Although I hope they don't introduce an actual Batman, because I think they would ruin his whole dark, urban-ledge, scary persona. Just like they did a horrible (in my opinion) Black Canary.

They can mention Batman. They are both under the copyright of DC Comics which is owned by Warner Brothers. In the new mention of the next season number 10 the no tights rule will be gone as they plan to end the series with him wearing the red,blue, and gold.
