Steve Irwin's accent was very broad - broader than most real Australians.

Like the highlights in his hair, I suspect it was exaggerated for TV, since he was essentially a TV personality/ presenter.

I think this is the REAL aussie accent! Sometimes I think the Australian accent is similar to the cockney accent, kind of anyway!
