I think the way Barb and Bill treat Margie is wrong, I mean at least Nicki is open about hers, Bill is wrong first because the affair with Barb and keeping it from Margie, then going out with Anna on Margies night, and overall not caring about her feelings like at that hotel when he called Barb to come and Margie was crying in the tub. Barb is wrong because when she was giving Bill the "cold "shoulder, she got mad the Margie had sex with him but Barb has sex with bill anytime she wants!!
i have to say that i'm on the margene bandwagon, too. i just started watching big love. i'm at the part where she faints when she's pressing the sod in the yard. i just really love her character. she is so sweet and she takes a lot of stuff from the other sisterwives, especially nicki. but i enjoy seeing all three women interact. the compound parts get a little boring for me but overall i like the show. im really watching it cuz i love amanda, but it's growing on me. margie is so sweet.
@23mrspattinson because she is grieving what she never knew and reliving her past... she knows that she has to make a choice.. and in this scene she does.
Can i just add, i went away and thought about that clip some more, and i did the exact thing after finding out my ex was cheating on me..i put in my ipod and I RAN...and ran and ran and ran almost to exhaustion
I don't know anything about this show, but that's one of the most painful scenes I've ever witnessed. Whatever actress this is conveyed wonderfully either sadness or anger or pain or frustration here. Something ain't right, that's for sure.
Well done, when you can make a scene like this that immediately strikes someone who knows nothing about what's going on. And, of course, I wanna doink her.
I agree with everyone. This scene is amazing. Maybe my favorite from Big Love. This song was stuck in my head for weeks after I saw this. And Goodwin is absolutely gorgeous.
thank you for posting this. this scene wrecks me, especially in the context of the earlier scene where Nikki complained about her music the night before. watching Margene grieve in private, when she doesn't really know how, or even realize that's what she's doing, is really moving to me, and she says so much in this silent moment. the song and scene stayed with me for a few days after i first saw it.

It's so cool how HBO can make us see the tragic desperation in this silly scene. HBO is in another league.

Man, the song ressembles amazing to Elton John's earlier stuff! Most possible a huge inspiration on The Scissor's music.
kostasxrysogelos 2 years ago
Funny you should say that - Elton actually wrote that song!

Loved this epsiode, and I thought this scene was very well done, following the death.
The show doesn't often use music, but when it does, it's awesome.
Also, NEW SEASONS

Her mother, who she didn't have a very good relationship with, has just died and she's trying to avoid the pain.

More men too.
But then I guess you've only got women stripping in your favourites and nothing else, so you probably don't spend all that much time working out.
