  • Yah where did you get those graphics? Cuz I have the crf 250x too. And it looks really good.

  • where did you get those graphics love the bike! i wanna make mine just like it...good job keeping the headlight and tail light on it to

  • where did u get that decal kit?

  • hay how fast can it go max?

    nice bike like the colors

  • what mod did the most affect in performance? you should also get a wiesco high compression piston kit, im gettin one, and a hotcam stage one this winter,

  • @MrCrf230f The Cam mixed with the head/muff prbly... I got a stage 2 hotcam a few weeks ago

  • I know this video is viewed from time to time, so I wanted to post something. This is Ungatoniko, the person responsible for this bike and vid. I was recently in a MotoX crash that resulted in many stitches, many weeks of rehab and multitudes of pain and anguish. That being said, I wanna say one thing to all riders and viewers. IT WAS WORTH EVERY SECOND! Ride on and enjoy life, for it is way too short. I have known many people who have died over the past few years. Make every moment count!

  • @ungatoniko wow, I will man, I will

  • @ungatoniko Amen, brother. I hope you're feelin better and best wishes to you!

  • Did you order the graphics kit for the crf250x or just for the regular crf250? Thanks bro and NICE bike! ;D

  • @MongyMan23 it for the CRF250.. its a fairly exact fit, but for the little parts where it looked sloppy an exacto knife was a quick fix. Thanks man, I am proud of it, and it has put many 450X bikes, as well as a few older 500s to shame. Ride on and no matter what anyone says, have some freakin' fun!

  • @ungatoniko Hey bro thank you! I found those graphics FINALLY!! And Will doo riding the bikes is the best! Thanks again!

  • where did you get those alpinestar graphics and how much?

  • that sticker kit is da bom

  • Love the bike, rly clean and sounds great.

  • nice graphics kit

  • How did you re-jet the carb? Is it now concidered a 250r? And love the alpinestars graphics get back to me on the carb

  • How did you re-jet your carb? And I like the alpinestars graphics nice touch

  • hey i just got my CRF250X 08 and i was wondering where you got your graphics kit cuz the one you have on yours is sweet. and how much was it? please reply

  • Motocross giant... like 40 or 50 I think

  • thanks

  • @ungatoniko can you pop a wheelie easly on that thing like the motocross model?

  • More than glad to help someone out, anyway I can. I love the sport. More than that, I love to help people get their bikes running the way Japan intended for them to run. Did you know...??...The mods you've done actually INCREASED the reliability? The factory jetting takes the extended life away by needing the dreaded top end done much sooner. If it's pretty chilly when you ride..do the 100 oct VP at full strength. But run out the carb when you're done.

  • Also...you said you were running premium atleast for this video. We run 50/50 ( premium / 100 VP ) works out to like 96 oct. Does actually make a decent difference on the engine temp. Stays right around 180. These motors thrive with that consistant temp.

  • Thanks for the tip...never done that before but I will be sure to try it out this weekend when I ride. And you are right, its very diggable haha, I certainly love it.

  • Awesome 250x by the way!! Gotta dig it.

  • NICE;)

  • haha thank you

  • hey bye the way when u put the full system on do u have to open up the airbox?

  • No, I did that to increase air flow...you DO have to re-jet

  • ok but im just asking did u run the bike without opening up the airbox because i want to get a full jardine rt5 exhaust and im just wanting to know if it will run fine without being opened

  • I'm sure it will run fine... opening the airbox has nothing to do with the exhaust, just with allowing more airflow at a faster rate to the engine. The opened airbox was one of the first mods I did to this bike, so it was never closed off with this exhaust set up.

  • since these 250/450x's are jetted stupidly lean from the factory ( Calif models ) it's never a good idea to open up the box or add a full exhaust without going quite a bit bigger on the main. If you do the exhaust and cam and high flow filter, go ahead and drill about seven 3/8' holes at the REAR or the box. But remember...bigger jetting is a must!!! I built up my bro's 450x and that thing is a rocket with tractor torque. Messege me. I'll tell ya every detail.

  • @MrMrCorey does the seat provide a good enough seal to prevent dust and water from getting in when you open it up? thanks

  • @Cannondale900 No. With the airbox cut open more dirt and moisture can get inside. However, opening the airbox does NOT remove the air filter, so that will protect your engine from ingesting harmful dirt and grime. Inevitably you will have to clean your filter more often, as more exposure means more gunk and dust collecting on it.

  • @Cannondale900 with the airbox opened up more do you see a noticable difference in power or response? is it worth it in your opinion. i just have an fmf powercore 4 slip on muffler and rejeted my bike a bit.

  • hey anyway another thing if u do other mods to the top end as in stage 2 cam or any other thing do u have to open up the airbox

  • No...airbox has nothing to do with the cam

  • ??? whats your jetting at right now and whats ur elevation?

  • around 3250 feet for where I ride, I forget the jet settings off the top of my head. Bike is WICKED fast though now

  • dam i dont know how to re jet it

  • if i put a crf250r cam in my 250x do i need to rejet it

  • yea you basically have to rejet a bike for all major changes.... usually for all changes in general

  • wat about new graphics?

  • Yeah...was that really necessary?

  • you tell me?

  • especially when u put the header and slip on you have to jet it. u can mabey get away with not jetting it with a slip on

  • Yea dude we know...wayn0o was being a smartass and asking if putting graphics on a bike required rejetting after I said basically all major changes required rejetting...some people, ya know?

  • yeah deff dude. those grafics are sick where did u get them? and one more thing, how do u like ur bike? anything ud change or should i get it. i have a kx85 right now. im 5'3 and weigh 114 lbs

  • Motocrossgiant has them on its website. I'd maybe think about going 125 or something rather than jump 85 to 250, but if you do go 250 it is a great bike. Not much I can say I'd change about it.

  • Thanks dude.

  • Hey did you have to re-jet your bike wen u put the new exhaust on?

  • yes

  • Hey man, your bike looks and sounds awesome well done! I have a 04 CRF250X with a bore kit so it's 280 and had the carb re-jetted but with stock exhaust, hopefully that will be gone soon with a few imported parts! Question - Your sticker kit, did you have to trim it or is there a kit like that for the 250X? Thanks mate, looks great.

  • I only had to trim the back where the tail light is and to clean up a few edges.... for the most part it was pretty easy to do (It is a bit of a pain lining it all up but definitely worth taking your time on). Thanks for the support and comment, and best of luck! Keep riding! I'm gonna have to check out a bore kit next lol

  • im 15 and around 5'6'' and have had a 2004 250x for about three months now. i jumped up from a 100. i am now used to its power and everything. does this exhaust add power cause im looking to buy one, btw what other mods you got done to yours and your bike looks really really nice

  • nice bike bro. i got a yahmaha though. ur's sound kinda like ine but i garrantee you mys louder an fastster just because of the fuul injected turbo system an upgrade 5 keelo blower for suking the air out of the way. but sweet decal thats a nice ass bike.

  • ooooooook lol

  • hey.. im probably going to be buying a 250x and i was just wondering if there was much up keep on them required.?

  • check oils and tire pressures every time you ride, bleed shocks when changing altitudes and after extensive riding, constantly check seals... take care of it like any bike/vehicle... its a lot of money to neglect

  • thanks for the help :)

  • hey, i'm planning on getting a 250x and putting on the fmf factory 4.1 (non carbon) along with the powerbomb header and opening the airbox and was wondering what you have your jetting set to

  • have to get back to you on this one... I can't remember what I set it as off the top of my head

  • alright sounds good, sounds nice by the way, do all the mods add noticable power

  • i have a 2004 CRF150F. I have been riding it for about 3 years know. I'm 15 about 5'11'' and around 165lbs. I'm interested in getting a 2006 or 2007 CRF250X. the main reason is my 150 is a little slow and hot enough power for doing

Heir Scrambles. would it be a good investment?: for power, suspension, and a good bike life. (it would be stock)

  • Yes, Stock it is a very good bike, especially for someone of your experience. For 3 years of riding, this would most likely be more than enough for you, but assuming you took it easy and got used to it, you should do fine. Its a powerful bike, has good factory suspension and, if you love trails, its a blast. I would recommend upgrading if you are going to do track, because the suspension might not quite suit it. I'm 6'2" and 170 and it runs great for me (The mods make it a rocket) good luck!

  • i have the same stuff execpt i have the 250R header. nice bike.

  • Even though I prefer stock graphics, I really like those Alpinestar graphics. I have some on my yz125. Nice bike!

  • what associations let you race this kind of bike.like ama?

  • I'm really not sure if this would be AMA legal. The bikes from AMA and SuperX start life as YZ or R models, whether its 125, 250, 450, whatever. I'm not sure if they would let a modded X in, even though it is basically an R+ now

  • ok well im 15 about 5'8 i weigh about 125lbs i do have alittle experience riding but to be honest not to much is this a good bike to buy? if not what is? please help me out.

  • stick with a 125 or 150... this will be too much for you, especially if you don't have more than a little experience

  • bro if ur 15 just go for a crf250. if you got some riding experience then u'll pick it up just fine. and if you start off smaller ur gonna wanna move up really quick. they're amazing bikes!

  • He should go for a 230 dont you think? that should be plenty for some one his size and not very experiences... I mean I'm 6'2" and 185 and this thing still throws wheelies in just about every gear with me on it... granted its far from stock haha. He COULD do a 250X maybe, but he should definitely not go R, and he might still manage to hurt himself on a 250F or X

  • yeah probably. i didn't even think of that. i actually went to a 230 b4 my 250 anyways. but same here, def not stock. haha. i just love my 250r soooo much. it's hard not to tell someone not to get it.

  • ohhh for sure I am definitely with you on that. I am looking at a 450R right now for the track... mine hauls ass and works well there but I want a strict race bike as well... I feel the need for speed and air haha

  • have you done any moter mods yet i got a 250 x and im looken at ppl who have already done shit to there x

  • Yea its rejetted and the Cam has been swapped for a CRF250R Camshaft. I am looking to switch to a stage two Hot Cam soon

  • Mate you have some sweet looking graphics there

  • Thank you kindly man... It was a tough decision, the site I got them from had a LOAD of graphics from every sponsor with every design... But I feel happy with me decision, even more so with all the positive feedback I am getting. Ride for life bro

  • No worries, but you got a good looking bike their :)

    looks better than my 250r

  • just enjoy using 85's and 150's cuz they are great bikes... and when u hit the 125 250 and 450cc classes its alot harder.

  • Yea... he should definitely work with those until he gets a bit older and taller. The stock 250X isnt a 450R or anything, but it does torque up and surprise a lot of riders who think 250s aren't that powerful...haha especially the people who ride mine.

  • im 5 foot 2 would i fit on that bike?

  • Probably not so well no...

  • if ur rly good at riding and u feel like using a starting crate then get one of these.. if ur not experienced i wouldnt sudjest anything near this . crf250rs are rediculous wiht power

  • hey man love the bike, i hope to pick up an 07 next week. did you notice laot with that exhuast? it sounds great i want an exhuast first thing but dont know which setup to get

  • Thanks a lot bro. With just the exhaust, header and rejetting I definitely noticed a lot more pick up low end. Normally there would be a bit of good ol' 4 stroke bog down low, but the basic mods gave it a more responsive and immediate kick when accelerating. Any ideas for your set up so far?

  • Ah man nice sound. not to harsh. i need to bring mine in to the shop and get it tuned up and get an exhaust like that!! also maybe an I-kat and twin air power flow filter!

  • sik bike

  • thanks man... I'm really proud of it

  • Is the exhaust a lot louder than a stock pipe on an 05 crf250r?

  • I would say so... its a different tone, but its louder.

  • whered ya get those hella sick raphics

  • moto cross giant... search for it online

  • if you get one of these pipes do you have to rejet

  • yeah you need to rejet

  • thanks alot for the advice again...

  • No problem..... good luck

  • can someone tell me if putting the r-cam on the crf250x and also piping it,,will it help me a lot in racing and the hills or will i lose my bottom end.

  • plez answer the question

  • you should be fine if you do that.....but honestly, if you are gonna race, race, if you are doing hill climb, do hill climb... dont gear one bike toward doing it all, it wont be as effective. As for your first question, the 250R has a much more powerful bottom end than a 250X, so OF COURSE you would gain bottom end, and piping and jetting it only makes it faster....just think about it

  • i disagree, the x has more power bottom to mid, the r has more power on top.

  • The R is Close Ratio, therefor is designed to pull towards top speed much quicker than a wider ratio'd bike. As the X is a wide ratio in comparison to the R, it has a wider power band but doesn't have that kick that the R has to get it through the gears quicker, seeing as it was designed to be a ready to go or machined motoX bike. I do, however, thoroughly believe the X to have a TON more torque bottom to mid, grunt but not quite the go. Thank you for being polite in your disagreeing

  • did you have to change the jet kit with the new muffler

  • Yea you have to rejet or else ur not getting anything from the bike

  • nice bike

  • Thanks... I love it haha

  • i have the same bike and i have a powercore 4 and i want that header but in the pic it looks like it is way shorter than the origanal header...why is that?

  • you got me man.... it fits fine and works out perfectly, so I guess maybe the camera adds a bit in length haha, hell it can add weight right?

  • but like u know how the 250 r has a shorter header....when u order the header for the 250x will they send you the long one like the origonal cuz i dont want it to get here and be too short.

  • if you specify through the order that you need the powerbomb header, which is the one I have, make sure to specify that you need it for the 250X and they will send you the correct one for the bike...I ordered mine directly through FMF so I made sure it was all correct

  • were do u open the airbox and how much r those alpinestar graphics

  • i got the same graphics

  • siccckkk
