I tried to make a point saying that hating Wagner because Hitler drew inspiration from him was akin to hating the Beatles because their music acted as an inspiration to Charles Manson. I like the Kinks BTW. Because I love classical music in general and Wagner in particular daes not mean that I must hate other genres.

My point is not that the Beatles are responisble for Manson's attrocities, but that blaming Wagner for Hitler's attrocities is the same as blaming the Beatles for Manson. As you may or may not know, Manson claimed the song "Helter Skelter" from the Beatles White Album as the inspiration for the Sharon Tate killings.
