  • i love this song! her music reminds me of sade in a way :-)

  • God was having a good day when he made an African girl :)

  • such a lovely voice - superb song

  • @queenimayya lol we're not ALL like that.

  • 16 people don't take care of their husbands

  • She is so beautiful. Nice song...

  • J'aime beaucoup Nayo, cette douceur, que je dédie à Jeanne Prisca de Côte d'Ivoire.

    Emmanuel

  • I am from serbia, and I have a boyfriend in Tunisia, and I can't wait to see him in august. <3 :)))

  • i feel u guys are deeply getting confused about what the song depicts, to me i think NAYO is only sending a message prior to her experience. Maybe of a relationship between two pple with different culture and continent (the guy being an African while the girl in question may not be an african).

  • shes amazing. thats all and her music makes sense

  • J'adore cette chanson, que que dédicace à Jeanne, d'origine Ivoirienne.Un commentaire d'emmanuel en France

  • I'd say like someone :

    - Hi mom!

    - Hi my son. Where are you going?

    - To bit the 16 people who dislike...

    - But, you're alone, and they will hit you

    - No mom, I'm going with the other 384 who like...

  • SHE IS DROP DEAD BEAUTIFUL N HER VOICE IS SUPER SOOTHING OMG Y IS SHE NOT BLOWIN UP SHE TALENTED

  • ps. she didnt say anything about african girls or black girls in general. she said " what youu need is this african girl" as in herself. she thinks she deserve him more then his present girl. thats all people.

  • hhmm African or none African. the way a girl treats a guy is not base on her country of origin or on a race, its base on the type of person she herself is and her moral and ethical beliefs. i should know this i was raised many part of the world and i have 2 brothers and more then 7 guy cousins that are all dating out there. the way we act is not based on our race or ethnicity. its a nice song people lets just enjoy it and not think too deep into it.

  • Oh my god are we really debating about "black" and "african" people? Just listen to the song for God's sake... I like the song and doesn't it matter if she says African girl or Black girl...if you like the song I don't see why there needs to be an argument x(

  • what she was meaning to say is that, she love this guy too much, that she doesnt want seeing him being left alone by her busy wife, if he knew better he should have chosen her -- the African Girl, rather than being stuck with an meaningless marriage with a that Girl -- actually it was not mentioned if the wife is Caucasian, we can never tell, least expect it could be an Asian girl? LOL bottomline is i love listening to this song when i usually lounge in and see a single guy drinking alone...

  • everywhere in the world are beautiful people!!! -.-

i like the song :) greetings from germany :b

  • My favorite song at moment.

  • My favorite song at moment

  • An African girl is d only woman that will love a man unconditionally..

  • I would date an african woman before an american woman of african origin. They're classier.

  • @kingkongrichie wow thats a great feedback. You obviously are trapped in ur own mind. I am an American girl of African desent. I definately have class. It just depends on what type of network your in. I have family directly from Africa who have the same rude behaviors as some Americans. I really think you need to get outside the box baby.

  • @kingkongrichie:

the point that I am making to you is that just because "we" have not heard something does not mean that it does not exist. That is like saying that since I am not married that it means adultery does not happen among married people. I don't know if any white racial songs off the bat, however, I will not be foolish enough to assume that they don't exist. I know that all white people are not racist and I am not trying to bash you just as you are not trying to bash me/my race.

  • @mlcoolk1 I have had wonderful american friends of african heritage/origin. There are both good and bad in every race. I am sure there are white underground songs that bash the black community but the difference is there are main stream hip hop artists that freely bash the white race. I am a 1st generation American both parents are immigrants and I had nothing to do with slavery or racial tension and I should not be punished either.

  • @kingkongrichie

Honestly, NONE OF US SHOULD BE PUNISHED for the mistakes of the past. However, there are some people who choose to do so. The problem that I have is when people choose to generalize and hold everybody accountable for the actions of that ONE person who did the wrong doing. That's why I said that the word "some" or "most" should be used. As you said there is good and bad in ALL races and we as humans must realize that and stop using one person to represent the entire race.

  • spuffy,

All people need to be united. I dont understand where you would get the notion that non-blacks laugh at blacks because of our division. There is division among every race.

North Korea Vs. South Korea (Asians in general look at other Asians as different)

Just look here in America. "White Liberals" Vs. "White Conservatives"

    "Protestant Vs. Catholics"

Certain hispanics feel certain ways about other hispanics. Division isnt unique to blacks. I agree with u besides that though.

  • wow..she's sexy but without showing anything...c ladies it can be done

  • Love this song! x

  • black people have become like christianity, divided. like the afore mentioned we are supposed to be one but people on the outside laugh at our expense because of the division look at the different sects of supposed christiandom we supposed to be united in one body but no one can agree. black people no matter where you are from to outsiders you are black. instewad of comparing each other we need to uplift and if you think others arent as refined then teach them otherwise shut up & enjoy the song

  • we as a people are worse to each other than anyone else could ever be. why can we not just enjoy the song? nothing wrong with being proud of who you are but we do not have to be arrogant saying this one is better than that one. we do not encourage each other and just to put it out there, there are refined and strong as well as ghetto and classless women in every culture. we need to let people be who they are and stop judging thinking our way is right. where is the unity?

  • @spuffygurl4eva

EXACTLY! I am an African-American female and I find it funny how some people will take a "colorless" song or video and add color to it. Music is JUST THAT, MUSIC. Can WE ALL FOR ONCE enjoy a video WITHOUT stupid comments or remarks "such as african girls are prettier than black american girls"? Music is meant to bring us together as human beings NOT as competitors or to judge someone else's race or ethnicity based on how they look on the outside.

  • l am a dude l love this song, she's talented she sounds like sade. l love it

  • Y is it only american blacks get so much shyt from other ppl tht r not of our race, OTHER RACES OF ppl have so much to say about our race IT SO funny !!! I really do believe tht WE AS AFRICAN AMERICANS really do have the PULSE of the world cuz we get so much heat from other races about everything!!!!!! can't all of yall find urself.... n get a life!!! get off US already.!!! oh thts right ur called HATERZ GOTTA <3 YALL

    !** !!***I'M PROUD 2 B AFRICAN AMERICAN THE PULSE***!! **!

  • @allidoizwin169 I mean seriously, black people are just as racist and racism will always be around. you wont change that, accept it and move on people are entitled to their opinions and its not your world. i am not racist but i can point out hundreds of rap cds that have racial slurs against white people. there are no white artists now days singing songs against black people.

  • @kingkongrichie

Next time, use the word "most" b/c not all black people are racist against whites just like YOU are not racist against blacks. Keep in mind racism is taught and that most whites taught blacks to see color b/c it was those whites who saw color first. And just b/c you believe that there no white artist who sings songs against blacks (or you haven't heard such a song) does not mean that those songs do not exist; so, take off your rose colored glasses and stop being 1 sided.

  • @mlcoolk1 What songs are there? I know of racist caucasian songs from the 1950's (which btw is not our time) Not most black people are racist, but there is a large number. I lived in a small town in Florida for many years and I just loved the black community there. Then I moved to a big city, I truly feel sorrow and pitty for the black community in large cities, living in poverty BUT I do NOT condone their behavior and will not allow someone to bash my race. Plz point out of racial "white" songs

  • WE all have something to offer...integrity over beauty.....think about it..

  • it's absurd to bring comparison between african and black american girls. anywhere u are, or u live as far as u are black, u are african. remember it's only the oceans that seperated us from africa or america, europe and asia but the color and features are all the same.

so let's just proud to be black and forget about continents.

  • I just watched this on my iPhone thinking about my Hunny Bunny and it made me feel like I possess the world at my fingertips! I love you Mary!

  • @LeftHandonFeet LOL HOW CUTE

  • ill suck on her top lip

  • Why is it always African Americans? Are we the only Afro-descendents on this planet? You would never see a comment like "African women are prettier than Afro-Dominican women" lol, it's always Afro-Americans, the hating needs to stop. There are pretty/top-notch women in every country and among every ethnic group.

But in the case of African women, Nigerian women in particular, it would make more sense to compare them to Burkinabés, Malians, Ivoirians etc lol

  • @PrinceNoirAmericain LMFAO. Believe me PNA, there are tons of videos where people are saying that Afro Dominican woman are prettier than AA women lol. A lot of people are always comparing saying that AAs are plain but that is becuase of brainwashing with people thinking that if you are not from the USA you are special lol.

Also many blacks or black labelled/identified people in the USA are not or do not even come from traditional AA colonial ancestry anymore

  • @chsn09 That's stupid since Black Americans look like African Women. Wow.

  • @ThewebLies You know the deal with this bs lol.

  • @ThewebLies I don't buy it because beauty comes in all varieties. To most people they go by looks. If you look black then people are going to call you black.

I just find it funny how when someone finds out someone speaks Spanish or French or another language and as soon as they find out their pussy speaks another langauge they are considered exotic and different and all of a sudden desireable but before that they were just another "plain" black hoe SMFH

  • @chsn09

Hey what's up bro, it just amazes me how everytime I go on a video which has nothing to do with AAs, there's always somebody putting AAs down lol, even if there are no AAs in sight

You are right, as soon as people find out someone speaks Spanish, French etc, the person suddenly becomes "exotic" lol. You can find top-notch AA girls and no one will call them "exotic" but then people will call ordinary looking women with accents exotic lol

  • @PrinceNoirAmericain I guess it has to do with AAs being seen as the pedestal for basicness of a group. I have seen many pretty AAs.

Also funny enough is that some AAs went to other parts of the world lol. I know people are always blaming AAs as being the pedestal for blackness as if they are the only blacks and that anything black groups do the AAs are always taking or given blame for it when it is usually not their fault

  • @chsn09

  • @chsn09 Yea until the kid comes out with nappy hair lmao

  • @chsn09 "You are right, as soon as people find out someone speaks Spanish, French etc, the person suddenly becomes "exotic" lol. You can find top-notch AA girls and no one will call them "exotic" but then people will call ordinary looking women with accents exotic lol"

Tito I cracked up when I read this lol OMG . so true. SMH

  • @ThewebLies LMAO. It is true. language should not impede how good or pretty a woman is lol.

  • @chsn09 LMAO I can't, you crack me up with your comments.

  • @ThewebLies LMAO. People think that a pussy is better because it speaks a different language lmao

  • I don't understand why African women are always compared to African American women or why in general, Africans are always compared to African Americans...

I don't know this particular singer, I simpley stumbled upon the video and the 1st comment I see is "African women are prettier than African American women" lol. Such a reaction must be the result of some unconscious inferiority complex which causes people to talk about AAs when they are not even present lol

  • i love you nayo :)

  • WE'RE ALL THE SAME COLOR AND DON'T FORGET ( SERICHJR) OUR ANCESTORS CAME FORM AFRICA SO WE ARE THE SAME.... SO ALL IN ALL WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL, GOD TOOK HIS TIME AND SHOWED HIS TRU TALENT WHEN MAKING " AFRICAN OR AFRICAN AMERICAN PEOPLE

  • the difference between african and african american women is more than obvious, african descent people in the USA are NOT given equal opportunity and come from a background of suffering and poverty, without many options. Africans from Africa are given more assitance because they are immigrants. I think America is a shamefull place.

  • love this song...

  • It doesn't matter where you are from beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And class and intelligence is not determined by were you are born. I have seen ugly simpleminded females from both continents, as well as beautiful educated ones. Over the years I have admired the beautiful woman of Africa with sincere appreciation, but living here in America I have also seen beautiful unique woman whose beauty isn't only in their appearance but their souls as well. But that's just my opinion :)

  • best youngest african singer

  • Beautiful girl, beautiful voice, beautiful song. Beautiful Everything.

  • nigerian women are beautifull

  • does anyone no where i can get the lyrics for this song

  • such a great song :D

  • Nayo is trying to steal your man!!! ;)

  • this song is simply amazing.... can't stop listening to it!!

    LOVE IT

  • This is why black people have problems with each other y'all try to categorize one another we all come from the same place and we're all beautiful so stand up for one another :)

  • @YOUNGKING5555 you are so right. Whether we were African born, or descendants of those who came from the motherland as slaves long ago, we are all sisters and we are all very beautiful people.

  • Comment removed

  • @0ffie Ummm.... are you blind?

  • @GGLebo23 yep :)

  • @0ffie she looks like my sister and we're african

  • @wendy1851 Ok! She`s beautiful

  • i forget where i heard this, but i'll can tell you what i never forgot african girl.great song, what ever happened to her ?

  • this is one of the songs that its' lyrics and beats goes down through the human blood vein making you find life pleasant having the right things around

  • @mddarch Hey, when did you go to Nigeria, how are US blacks treated? I thought about Ghana, but I was not sure if I would get laughed at or be called names like obruni. I still plan on visiting Africa at least once.

  • I can't believe people are drawing a difference from Black and African women. If you are Black and you live anywhere in the world you are African. Its not about where you live now, its about what you are. Lets unite!!!

  • @mcmerritt2000 Anyone can be Black, An Indian can be Black, An Australian Aboriginal can be Black. An african is an African, An african Woman is distinquisable from Black Idians, Papua New Guinean etec

  • @nyara007 Respectfully, I don't fully understand your point although I do understand it partially. People use Black and African interchangably. Africans traveled all over the world for thousands of years residing in what is now called America, Mexico, Austrailia, China, India, and Africa amongst other places, prior to the slave trades. There is clear evidence of Aborigines leaving Africa and traveled to Austrailia. Look at there characteristics and most telling their culture.

  • Naija Pride! <3

  • I'm a black American and I've been looking for an African girl for a long time. The artist and the song is true and superb.

  • @kenmorgan5 haha african girls are they best : ) i am one. keep lookin

  • OMG...HOW COME I'M JUST HEARIN ABT THIS GIRL....not fair! :(.

beautiful music. reminds me of sade

  • TUNEEEEEEEEEEE

  • So typical, instead of "I'm proud to be African," it's a derogatory term to put down someone else. We are all beautiful and equal, it doesn't matter whether you are Chinese, Hispanic, Caucasian, East Indian or Black. I am African Canadian/American and just as beautiful as you.

  • Un Pezzo di una raffinatezza unica !!! Bellissimo il senso di libertà che sprigiona il video!!! veramente un gran bel pezzo!!

  • This woman is beautiful inside and out. Real beauty defined!

  • i think when they said "sounds like Sade" they didn't mean her voice... it's the unique type or urban, soul, lover's rock genre i think they talking about.. and the beat and tempo says exactly that... and ya'll stop with the nonsense all women are beautiful... nere, there, anywhere!!!

  • i liiiike dis song!!! ça me rappelle pourquoi je suis si fière d'être une "African Girl"!

  • nice song but she dont sound like sade to me either...she got her own unique sound of her own.

  • Adoroooooooooooooooo todas as músicas!!! gostava de comprar o CD dela!!! =]

  • I luv my African girls!

  • representing for the Naija Girls!!!!! i love this song

  • African my life

  • African girl and American girl all are beautiful true!! when it comes to character , You got to give it to the African girl, they allow the man to be a man. Traditionally speaking !

  • I like the difference in the way the song is sung compared to most American music by black women. It's not in the same cliche. And I have the right to say this because I am American.

  • Hey BLAIN147 tienes razon...a mi tambien me recuerda a SADE, pero cada una tiene lo suyo

  • i love this song because is beautiful i love african girl

  • wow i saw this video a loong time ago and i was amazed by the talent this girl has...but what happened to her ? anybody know?? she should definately be a star by now...

  • Her voice it's wonderful...

  • back3431

    a warrior who loves women.......

  • african girls are 10 times prettier than black american girls

    not looking for trouble

  • don't hate on american girl/women. we have beautiful ones too.... believe that, i'm one.

  • @americanghanagirl i feel you, but chill with that cause african women aren't given enough credit for everything they do and how beautiful they are...believe that, i am one. peace

  • @americanghanagirl Na u ain't girl...

  • @americanghanagirl ...I agree, african-american women are hot!

shout out to all my african sisters, different flavors for everyone

  • @americanghanagirl i believe you )))))))))

  • prolly coz black american women are so depressed... just look how they are treated in society!!!! ;p

  • @serichejr Where do you think black people in the US, Britain, the Caribbean,

Brazil were all kicked out from? No trouble here, my continental brother.

  • @serichejr that true at least they are in shape hahahaha they do not eat in pizza hot or MacDonald s lol and of course they do not eat alot of fried chicken or fried food hahaha. add to that they have great cultures and principles. their life is not about twenty something inch wheel on your car and big necklaces.

i am not African i am just living in America and it is easy to see the differences.

  • @serichejr I'm haitian but i'm pretty cute check my channel

  • @serichejr That's a silly comment. We are one, just worlds apart. Much love to my positive African sisters. I hope to visiting within the next couple of years. Looking forward to buying one of those beautiful African print dresses I've seen. Love this song!

  • @Naturalbychoice I so agree with your comment and your positive vibe. I am working on that journey too. Can't wait.

  • @serichejr

I agree, African Women(from Africa) are beautiful, classier, smarter...

  • @serichejr Definately. Black American women have nothing on African girls. only few of them are pretty. Black American men are better looking than their women.

  • @Avanaih really now i think tht all ppl r beautiful in there own way some more than others beauty is only skin deep wen thts gone what do u have not all black men r good looking all of us r gods creation so u speak like a person with nothing to say but foolishness u must b young or ugly on the inside

  • @allidoizwin169 All I know is African Girls are better looking and Classier than black American women. West Indies girls are also prettier than BA . If you think I am lying vist Africa or look at African women.

  • @serichejr yes yes, divide and conquer we must keep the pan-african world divided by any means possible.

  • @serichejr I know a girl who look just like that in America

  • @serichejr That is so damn true and they carry themselves like women and not loud mouth scoundrel mouth bitches. African American women hate their African heritage. They just want to be the white mans bitch.

  • Awesome .. you are beautiful and girl, you've got a sweet voice. I love it.

  • Beautiful. at 100

  • what a gentle girl..

  • Nayo is beautiful, I really like her singing and her style. She does remind me of Sade, Sade has her own unique style and that's what makes her untouchable. Nayo; keep doing your thing, America will wake up to your music soon.

  • Hammer Stimme, schöner Song!

  • no comparison to Sade...she has her own style .

  • can some body help me tell the world about this beautiful song?

  • so sad she has decided to stop singing, i ope she comes back.

  • Beautiful. Simply beautiful.

  • keep it up nayo ur very good.

  • i love this song! i just favorited!

    :D

  • discovered this song on HedKandi 68 Serve Chilled 1..

    love it!

  • I love it!!! In any sense she reminds me of Sade's style

  • OMG! I woz jus finkin dat she sounds a bit like Sade. Ur totaly right.

  • OMG. i was thinking the exact same thing.the other day i was watching some sade videos and thinking wow there is no one even now who comes close to sade's style but this girl is it. She has it.

  • Comment removed

  • Well I'm happy all of us agree about the same point ;)...

  • Arantxa69, I agree. Her style is a lot like Sade's. She also reminds me of Sade in terms of her natural beauty. You can tell that she and Sade didn't go out and get sliced and diced. Their natural beautiful faces and voices just carry them.

  • thanks Nayo..nice song coming from u. keep it up.

  • me like

  • Nice!

  • Nice song... I heard she was compared to Sade and Dido... I don't hear it at all... Not the voice or the lyrics... Both Dido and ESPECIALLY Sade are very poetic... And She's not smooth like Sade, and her music doesn't have the mysterious feel like Sade's music does. I agree with the other comments FAR FAR FAR from Sade... But I do like the song and she may be able to maintain a successful career, however. The song is kinda catchy

  • fantastic song

  • i love it :X

  • Very very very far from Sade...Still a lot of work to do

  • no man... she's not far from sade...

sade is unique, there won't be anyone like her, so there is no way of getting close to her.

nayo has her own music, her own style, and she is beginning her career, so it's not fair comparing both and her voice is not similar to sade, nayo is very high-pitched. i think I found a bit of bossa nova in her rhythm, in one of her songs, but that's my personal opinion.

  • I've just seen your coment and it just made me wonder on my point of view . So I've listen to the song again...and frankly speaking I hardly understand why so many people see talent in this song. I don't hear the bossa nova because she sings in a pop way rather than assuming just a smooth flow. Seems to me she's incomplete and she hasn't found her own stye yet. I admit she has a nice voice though.

PS: I believe your nickname suits you well :))

  • this is a hot record

  • jes very amanzing woman,and a nice song,thx monalisaslächeln ;)

  • ta xvr puez

  • She is Nigerian just like LIGHTHOUSE family lead singer Tunde Baiyewu. I Luv their music too.

  • All the best women come from Nigeria

  • NOT all, but Nigeria does have great women.

  • ...that was completly rude and not needed....your a fuckin hater...coz obviously some finds her attractive...and being a bitch by the way...is really "cheap"...pls... get a fuckin life why doncha while your growing up alittle...

  • Comment removed

  • Someone's a little jealous. I didn't even mention weaves, LOL
