  • Great!

  • it is beautiful i have a strong feeling that this prob would have been an x japan balled had they not bin broken up for sure and yes i agree i could see toshi MURRRRRRDERING this song man that guys a fucking sick singer wow man just wow

  • yes nicole. yes!

  • I love This song

  • Yoshiki is so perfect <3 He's an angel of music.

And why is nicole scherzinger wasting her time with the pussycat dolls when she can sing like this? I have a whole new appreciation for her now.

    Nicole, stop wasting your talent!

  • Yoshiki xDDD so awesome. so is nicole. :DDD

  • ... wooow when she started to thing I got thrills , i'm totally ... woow ! <3

  • I like this song. Though I can't really say Nicoles singing is anything special. Not that she isn't good or anything, but she's not amazing.

  • Linda demais essa mulher. Foda, arrazou, perfeita, Nicole <3

  • I hate her... but her voice is totally awesome.

  • @UchihaDedere I hate what she is doing with Pussy Cat Dolls. I think she only has to do sth like that. Beautiful ballads. And I hate her boyfriend (Lewis Hamillton), coz he thinks he is cool but he isn't! *Vettel Fan*

  • @ErusaGakuto *thumbs up for Vettel comment!* :D

  • yoshiki的音樂真是觸動人心

  • 美しい

  • thats one of my favourite..Yoshiki has so huge talent on writting and composing songs and Nicole has a wonderful voice....just perfect

  • Yoshiki, your a genius! Mozart of 20th century xD or 21st you choose.

  • @reinoheya I totally 100% agree with you

  • At every single pause in the song i was hoping for Toshi to come singing in on the stage. That would have been awsome!

  • Yoshiki, why with her? I just hate american pop industry, so this is my opinion and don't tell me that she is a good singer... Yoshiki is sellout! it's so sad;(

  • @laMerveilleux Sellout? He likes writing and composing music. Nicole did good on this one, now we know she has more to her than just making pop music.

  • @laMerveilleux This was made before she became mega famous!

  • Nicole is awesome, I love her <3 Song is really really beautiful. Makes me wanna cry.

  • she looks a bit like nicole scherzinger xD

  • @AL94RUSS

    she is nicole....

  • @Suikoden4ever no way. really? Hahahhaa ouh okay xD

  • yoshiki. is, a perfect player.

  • Have loved this video ever since I saw it a couple of years ago. But I can't stand a piano player or any musician who throws their hair back. So unprofessional. And why the Asians dye their hair blonde is beyond me, especially the pianist in this one! Yuck!

  • @ricardo522042 ever wondered why hair dye was created then? you got a personal thing against asians? yoshiki doesn't make his living from being like classical musicians, in such a setting. he's a j-rock legend. great that you like the song!

  • @ricardo522042 u are so childish

  • @ricardo522042 yoshiki is a god lol wtf are you on?

  • @antikku01

Thou shalt not honor false prophets. But in your case, being an idiot excuses you. And what am I on? I am a human being, like most people and am entitled to my own opinion. If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen!

  • @ricardo522042 lol okay.

  • @ricardo522042 Unproffessional, how? And what the heck, can't they dye their hair any color they want?

  • @ricardo522042

Throwing your hair back is very unprofessional. It's saying to the audience "look at me" INSTEAD of the singer. And sure Asians can dye their hair. A drunk person can act like a fool if he wants to. Not that it's cool or funny, it's just because he can. Get my drift? Asia guys hav black eyebrows by nature and to dye your hair blonde means you would need to dye all other hair. Otherwise, it looks - well, just plain dumb.

  • @ricardo522042 Try listening to the music instead of worrying about mannerisms. He brushes his hair back during a period of long rest. Big deal, I used to wipe my nose while I mentally counted, he makes his money primarily from rock where that would not be noticed.

  • @ricardo522042 first of all i think the color is brown not blonde, second this is his show, his preformance so he aint stealing attention from anyone... she is a guest preformer

  • @janezu17

Why else would one want to bring ANOTHER performer in if it's HIS show? Please ...

  • @ricardo522042 ever heard of a guest apearence ? As amazing artist as he is, he claims to be a horrible singer... isnt it kind of logical that if a song has lyrics you have someone sing it? In this concert it is Nicole, in others he has other vocalists... she is a guest, nothing else, a part of HIS show, the fact that she is famous doesnt really make a difference... And i still dont get it how throwing his hair back makes him an attention whore?

  • @janezu17

I understand the part of him having someone sing on his show, but throwing your hair back like this draws attention from the singer. If you can't see that, then you can't appreciate a true artist's meanings and dictions. I love Yanni's music, but when he had long hair, he used to throw his hair back. There were a lot of postings about that on the internet. He finally got a haircut, but I doubt it was from the complaints on the internet. It's still very unprofessional.

  • The lyrics of this song reminds me of what is going on in Japan and since Yoshiki is japanese it makes it even more special! Respect and hope for Japan! xx

  • Wait... isn't that the singer of PUSSYCAT DOLLS??? Wow... Yoshiki's the MAN!!!

  • Just because Yoshiki's music is similar to someone else's musically, it does not mean he copied them. Coming up with something completely unique in the present day is extremely rare. It's understandable if he adopts his style from others. The fact is that people enjoy his music and if his stuff was an obvious "copy" of someone else's work, Yoshiki would be in trouble. give him some credit. "Style" is just one part of music. However I need to see him who ever working hard at drums as X-Japan

  • wooow

  • For me, the music is about the love that will make me feel. Nothing more. When you hear a bird, you don´t think if it´s in tone or how much he knows about music notes...you only feel him. I`m sorry, but I´m proud then of being an ignorant.

  • @Bishonenlovers LOVE THIS.

  • btw who is the maestro???

  • I wish TOSHI would sing this....it would be so awesome.

  • This song.. IS PERFECT!!!! the lyric.. the melodies. it makes me cry.. this song IS LOVE.. T_T amazing..

  • one of the greatest song i've ever heard....what a composing magic mixed with lyrical talent yoshiki is..cheers from india..long live Yoshiki

  • ToshI could sing this song <3 will be perfect

  • yeah it's agreat song...i sooooooo soooooo sooooo love this video !!!!!

  • this is banal music, nicole has intonation issues.

  • @utubuser10 and your a professional??

  • @jaizon29 and your point is?

  • @utubuser10: At least her pitch was perfect.

  • why is this guy above talking about bad people lol

  • thank you Yoshiki

  • this guy is the man in japan he probably banged her haha

  • I'd never thought I'd see the day when Nicole from PCD would collaborate with Yoshiki. o_o I really prefer this kind of singing for Nicole. And this song just screams "YOSHIKI!!!" XD

  • @orangegreendaysuite actually I think her collaboration with Yoshiki was pre PCD days

  • @orangegreendaysuite This was before PCD...

  • wow ! she sings so beautiful

  • would you please remove the word 'classical' from the description...? it's not related to classical music at all.

    yet it's totally beautiful.

  • truly beautiful..

  • wow.. sooooo nice.. so smoooth.. ~.~

  • 哇!!好聽耶~

  • Dude im from kentucky as well like that girl

  • All around beautiful...beautiful music, beautiful singer.

  • Aivan ihana kappale♥

  • I can't believe I found a duet of Yoshiki & Nicole!!!

    Thanks for sharing!

  • does anyone know where i can buy this version of the song? (with nicole scherzinger)

  • e poi dicono che non sa cantare eh

    ma statevene zitti

  • 0:45 "i love japan!" XD

  • Yoshiki is a genius!

  • can anyone imagine this song sung by william hung? heheheee

  • my favorite singer !!! your singing voice is beautiful from japan

  • yoshiki es un genio<3

  • Beautiful voice!!

  • WE ARE X (??)

  • i really dont see the point in having an orchestra in this. They are just playing chords, if i were playing in it i would be pissed.

  • @SupermansDead93 that's what makes the singer's voice stand out even more. sometimes there are things there just to make some other thing stand out, and they are indeed very important. if the orchestra played something "more", her voice would seem "different", you know.

  • Remember the song producer also - Yoshiki - that pianist

  • @axtscti yeah, why else would i listen to that song?^^ Nicole have no power in her voice

  • why is this song not available anywhere? :-(

  • on reading some of the posts, most are talking about how good Nicole is, and they are right, she does a great job on this song, but Yoshiki? Now HE'S Phenomenal!!!

  • maluse227@mattosa98 why do u think that about Japanese people anyway i kind of want to know just to balance the argument

  • saludos desde el distrito federal en mexico exelente cancion creo que es la parte mas noble de yoshiki felicidades por compartir esta musica graciassssssssss

  • remarkable....phenomenon...I love Nikolei..!!!

  • she better do classical instead of singing rnb crap!

  • nice one nicole...i really like this song....

  • very nice

  • 好好聽呢~~~ 大家得閒聽下

  • that'd be the nicole from PCD

  • Beautiful. I love the woman's voice for this; she really brings the lyrics to life.

  • @Ivanov1308 that's Nicole Scherzinger of the pussycat dolls...

  • @Ivanov1308 Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussy Cat Dolls

  • to mattosa987:

I really dislike your country. They are selfish and greedy. They steal others countries technologies and disregard copyrights. Thus destroying their own music industries.

And now you have the cheek to accuse them unfounded crime?

  • and one more thing.

    bye bye 支那人

  • nipon dai suki =3

  • I always would love this song..

  • this gives me goosebumps

  • Japanese Aichi Word Expo theme song.

    Very GOOD!

  • She's one of the most versatile vocalist in the music industry,,, HER NAME IS NICOLE!!;D

  • @Scherzinger91 100% agree with you!!!

  • great pianist wow!! and the orchestra is just mind blowing !!!!!!!

  • wow! genius yoshiki!

  • She's good.

  • Very relaxing voice tone...

  • I'm usually not used to hearing her singing in operatic tone, but yeah - she did pull this off beautifully well.

  • It was my first time hearing her.

I wouldn't really know how to make a decent judgment of her voice according to her background.

So I just said what I felt.

  • beautiful vocal ....

  • wooooooooooooooooooooooow

i na3ama ana mesh faham aeee 7aga bas ana song 7alwa aweee

  • ahaha nice song indeed

  • Great singer & Great pianist! 5*

    Bo Bo ^ o ^

  • Yoshiki rules!

  • i love eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

  • kirei na uta desu ne *_* suteki desu

  • stop being so rasists and start enjoying good music like this and appreciate this kind of worm and sensitive voices like nicole`s !

  • si yo hubiera sido ella.....me le voto a yoshiki.....jajajaja

  • there are bad people everywhere, I wish that people would stop generalizing. There are alot of bastardly Americans out there too, and I'm American. Thats just the way the world is. (unfortunately)

  • @angelicuser I'm from kentucky like that girl... man she is soooo lucky

  • Dude, this is awesome, and I don't even like this type of music 0_0

  • Awesome o_o

  • Pls stop all those nonsense which said tat yoshiki is a copy cat...He'd made a lot of amazing and heart touching music...and even if there's some parts a similar..i don think tat effect the talent he got and how great he was...so jus enjoy the song!!!!

  • this song is so beautiful and the lyrics are so... pretty. Why are you all talking about that? Just enjoy this wonderful song <3

  • This is Globalization

  • how can you people talk about countries when this video is about MUSIC ????

  • mattosa987 If you generalize a group you are a racist. You spew out what you are.Japanese are not cowards, liars, and rude, lol, they are far from that. I suppose you need to put others down to feel good about yourself, you are indeed insecure about yourself, Hating doesn't work, people see thru that.Fear breeds racism.Understanding and consideration of others stops racism and fear.

  • Japanese are the most respectful people i know xD

  • "I LOVE JAPAN" lmao, that was smooth, Nicole, smooth.

  • Yoshiki is always on our heart

  • Coming up with something completely unique in the present day is extremely rare. It's understandable if he adpots his style from others. The fact is that people enjoy his music and if his stuff was an obvious "copy" of someone else's work, Yoshiki would be in trouble. But since this is not the case, give him some credit. "Style" is just one element of music. Also, that video about his "copying ways" was stupid. Drama is part of live shows and he was actually working hard at the drums.

  • I will also add that "style," does not determine melody. "Style" does not determine emotion. "Style" alone does not creat great music.

Just because Yoshiki's work is similar to someone else's musically, it does not mean he copied them. It is only because old composers like Tchaikovsky are untangible that we have to assume they were original. Also Yosuke Yamashita's style is probably not "original." He may have just been the first one to have been recorded with that particular sound.

  • Um. You obviously are really ignorant and like to make unwarranted assumptions.

And for your information, it's actually the other way around. Lots of the technology and fashion trends orginated in Japan and other countries therefore adopted them. Even the super-glue printing method used in forensic science was invented by the Japanese in a factory.

So dude, do some research and please stop making claims because really, you look like an uneducated ass.

  • @mattosa987 Thats not true. Everybody thinks that the japanese created everything.lol they dont.

  • Comment removed

  • You really need to get out into the world. I live in a place where there is a high concentration of Asians mainly of Japanese decent. None of them match that decscription. I don't match that description.

Also, the market is based on want from the consumer. Too bad if Japanese products are proven to work better and last longer. It's not their fault that they've created things that people can use well.

What makes me sad is that clearly, you've made up your mind about us Japanese people.

  • Dude... do you realize the irony (and extreme hypocrisy) in calling an entire people "racists". Generalizing people of another nationality is exactly what racism is.

  • not all of them( japanese, koreans and chinese) are bad people... they are actually nice people if you only know how to make friends with them....

  • stupid bastards, if u don't appreciate Yoshiki's work, don't even think of writing a comment on Yoshiki's videos or even on X japans's videos as it's Yoshiki who writes thier songs. Just fuck off fucking bastards who writes stupid things about Yoshiki and X japan of course

  • you are just frustrated as you are not as good as Japanese musician and you'll never b as good or even better than them so shut the fucking hell!!!!

  • @mattosa987 And uhm. Obviously from what ive read you really arent that smart of a person, and probably are pretty young given how much you know. Yoshiki Hayashi is a Brilliant mind who has made most music that others wish that they had. Brilliance is born in any race. However given the limited knowledge that you have im sure you are most likely a wannabe white supremacist or a wanna be american fascist.... the point is. When you die...no one will car3.lol

  • obviously those that criticize yoshiki does not understand how it is to make music.

  • Well... Yoshiki produced Dir en Greys first album, so according to you he's the one who realy wrote their songs too?

  • i never knew she can actually sing like this!! 0.o

    I LOVE IT!! YAY ;P

  • amazing^^

  • i mean i never rly liked PCD but in this song she sounds so great, i guess its just the influence of yoshiki cuz he is god´s right hand... even Hide is god above all.. and also this song reminds me of Hide.. may he rest in heavenly peace...

  • Beautiful voice matched with beautiful music.

  • even if i don't like nicole so much, i think she have a great voice. ^-^

  • bullshit. x japan has always made great songs, well except I.V

  • Comment removed

  • shut the fuck up. if you think x japan is unorriginal then why are you even here!? you fucking homo

  • It appeared in a search result as I was looking for a certain classical love song. I actually remember this, because it was a few months after I started work at Polydor. This turned out to be the last project funded by TK for Yoshiki. As one of the producers here knows TK, it went around our studio for a laugh

  • what the fuck is TK. yoshiki wrote most of x japan's songs

  • That's not how music is done. Producers make the songs, and engineers (such as myself) record and "tweak" them until the producer and musician are happy. TK is a famous producer in Japan. I'm sure you know who Michael Jackson is, well the man behind his music was called Quincy Jones.

The exception to this, are the "real" musicians. The guys in the studio such as Lee Ritenour (or Japans own Ponta Murakami) or people such as Chet Baker and John Lennon who also write music.

  • The majority of early X songs where just re-arrangements by Japans top heavy metal bands. Mostly bands like 44Magnum, and Earthshaker.

  • you are retarded and don't know shit. producers and dick suckg engineers make songs for bands? what the fuck are you listening to? the jonas brothers???

x japan writes their own songs. yoshiki has taken parts from other songs for some of x japan's songs, like art of life and rose of pain. but not many.

you are obviously listening to the wrong shit and have a FUCKED UP mind if you think that it is because of cock sucking faggot uptight assholes like you that bands have songs.

  • and TK is a criminal.. haha he commited fraud

  • very interesting

  • i knew it was common for mainstream pop music, but i thought artists like yoshiki were genuine.. disappointing if true.

Its normal to have some influence from other artists but a direct copy of yosuke? can u give me a example?

  • @SuperDrum30

I hate to stick my nose in this so late. Both artists are from the same country and given Yamashita's apparent fame I don't doubt Hayashi has heard his music and was inspired. But here's what I feel you're not seeing. Going from soft to a "mess" and straight to soft again stared WAY before Yamashita, that's kinda just classical music. As for the music business, Yoshiki Hayashi started as a producer. He did write most of X's songs and those were what was played and recorded.

    Peace.
