  • I came here hoping for some Red-bellied "cha cha cha" but this song was just as great :)

  • not all beasts, i like little birds, not lumbering beasts like the eagle. I like the little wood finch, who hovers so fast that it stops time, and the moth in eternity, and sits at the lords table and feasts.

  • Adorable, thanks :)

  • Great Video! Love the song! I woke up this morning with a baby woodpecker hopping around my patio. Doesn't seem to be able to fly - just hop. I put some seed out for it - but a squirrel ate it before the woodpecker found it. Don't know what to do to help the little guy.

  • you can take him inside, and take some fallen branches somewhere you dont mind cleaning afterwards

  • We knew there was a woodpecker living in a tree in our yard, so we took a gamble that the baby belonged to him. We just sort of "herded" him toward that tree - you know... walked behind him in that direction until he got to the tree and hopped up the trunk. He went up the tree maybe 5 feet and we went inside.

Soon I saw the big woodpecker fly over and put food in the baby's mouth. So baby made it home after all. A story with a happy ending :)

  • Great video and song!

  • This is the song I was searching for years. When I was a kid way back in 70s my Daddy used to play this song on his 78 speed gramophone. It brings back memories.

  • Wow. So many Glenn Miller fans!

  • SO CUTE!

  • Oh my goodness that is just WAY too cute!! The song is cute too!

  • This song was very popular in 1940 a hit by The Glenn Miller Orchestra and The Andrews Sisters to name a few. It is a popular Italian song called Reginella Campognola and You can find it on YouTube.

  • hey its a great song!!!i feel like doing the chacha prrrrrahh

  • Wow! Awesome!

  • Never heard this song before. It's a cheery little number and we don't have woodpeckers in Ireland. I love watching them in action.

  • That's cool, we don't have real Guinness in the states so it all evens out I suppose.. ack!

  • WOW! I watched this while listening to "The Map Room: Dawn" from the Raiders Of The Lost Ark soundtrack and it changed everything! It's like the beginning of a natural disaster movie or something...hard to explain...try it! Oh...GREAT footage by the way. I love birds.
