excuse me.. the entire premise for the iraq war was nuclear weapons. there is speculations about iran's nuclear program.. there is a push by mccain to stay in the middle east for 100 years, and a security agreement with iraq that allows USA 14 permanent bases. combine that with McCains flawed view of history regarding ww2, and you have a scary situation on your hands.

Iraq was booted out of Kuwait by the US. It fought an 8 year war with Iran. All of it's weapons were purchased from the west. The US knew exactly what Saddam had. yes, but you fail to respect the fact that we have never lived in the world that they lived in.. we have never had to experiance a tyranical government, BUT they warned us about this, and they set up seperation of powers in the constitution in order to keep another king from coming to power in america.. doesn't it concern you that our congress has given up this seperation to the president? why isn't Iraq a declared war if it is such a threat to our national securtity.

I never said Iraq had anything to do with 9/11! I believe that we should have taken Saddam Hussein out of power in the early 90's not in when it happened! But he did need to be taken out of power - he was a threat to us - with his thinking!

actually Saddam was a perfect balance to Iran..now we have an even bigger problem on our hands. Iraq was a blunder, as for Saddam, we should have let Israel deal with him in the 80s.. they bombed his nuclear power plant, we should have let them do it, plus Iraq was NEVER a threat to America.. it's a 3rd world country.. we have been sold a bs story to fund a war machine. let's not forget iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.. this president has sewn the seeds for a future president to take us to warn without even asking congress.. that means the federal president, gets to subject your kids and their kids to war WITHOUT even asking for any approval. this is not safe. mccain wants to expand the war, guiliani wants 10 new divisions, that's 1 million men.. can you say draft.. kids going to war.

trading aside, why does the US government give more financial support to Arab nations than Israel?? Our government gives 10 billion to Pakistan, ruled by a dictator, and then we send men and women to fight and die in Iraq trying to promote democracy?? we fund a dictator in one country, and then we go on and on about how we are for freedom? what's going on here?

We have given money to many nations I believe that maybe we should have thought twice about. But nothing we can do about that now. I have a BIG question for you - if we are attacked again how would President Ron Paul handle it - I've heard him say he wants to close down military bases and curb the military budget - so if we are attacked how can he defend us without a military?
