hi ty u for great teaching, can u please reply to me about using your thumb .its your vid about new strum pattern ,easy chord movement. I got a small ,short thumb, maybe u have seen them, on left hand ,do I have to cover the E and A to mute with my stubby thumb. Is there an alternative. Can i just strum 4321 and skip 65 string. I hope u know what im saying.please reply.u r great patient teacher. ty so much.
i have a question, when you add the extra note to the G major chord, is it still considered a G and just has that extra note, or is it a different G chord?
Your vid is very easy to understand. I struggled with strumming but you teach us so clearly and make them look simple. You're a great guitar teacher ! Thanks :)
i've got a question. i play the guitar for a month now. is it harder to play chords with a classical guitar than it is with an acoustic? cause i'm playing with a classical one and i find it very hard to keep the pinky on the e string and because of that I'm considering to buy an acoustic guitar
i'm also learning on a classical guitar. the strings on a classical guitar are set wider apart than an acoustic guitar. so if your hands are small, it would probably be easier to play chords on an acoustic guitar than a classical guitar. good luck!
Dave 'The Edge' Evans was born in Barking, Essex, in East London, to parents of Welsh descent, Gwenda and Garvin Evans. When he was a year old, the family - which included younger sister Gillian (Gill) and older brother Richard (Dick) - moved to Dublin, where he has lived ever since.
has to do with intervals and scales. just learning music myself but its like Dsus4 includes the 4th interval of a scale and is sustained so thats where the sus comes from and the same with Cadd9. it includes the 9th interval in the scale. I left it in reply in case a more experienced voice wants to correct me but. I know that will point you in the right direction for the answer if nothing else. Hope it helps.
Great video David !!! You are right - keep the guitar out in the open so that you can pick it up whenever you have free time. I hung mine on the wall - easy access yet not in the way !! :)
i wanna go home and leave this fucking work and do my guitar lesson!!!!

Thanks for the vids. You should do some strum pattern videos for alternate time signatures like 3/4, and maybe throw in some 6/8 or 12/8.
