Just read the great news from the campaign web site. Well done! I'm sure your song had a lot to do with the campaign's success.
Ignore the handful of detractors on here, they go with the territory - it just shows that you've had an impact. I particularly like the 'greed' line, sums it up beautifully..
The world over not a single fossil fuel plant has been decommissioned because of wind turbines. Because wind blows intermittently, utilities must keep their conventional power plants running all the time to make sure the lights don’t go dark, or continually ramp up and down the output from conventional coal-or gas-fired generators (called “cycling”). But coal-fired and gas-fired generators are designed to run continuously, and if they don’t, fuel consumption and emissions generally increase!
@rickcain2320 I am in no way disagreeing with you. Nuclear power is not the way forward, and I support green energy. My point is simply that it has to be placed correctly. I'm all for wind farms either off shore, or on brownfield land, but why destory the few truly beautiful areas of countryside that we have left when there are other, more suitible areas for them to be erected? Listen again and you will see that not once do the lyrics speak against wind energy, nor do they support nuclear power.
So whats the answer...i need to know for my hort class...why would you build it in the sea...where it will probally kill sea aimals.........your full of shit
Thank you for persevering against a forced agenda green or otherwise.
Trying to disagree with the Greenies is as useless as arguing with fuckhead pro-lifers since rational viewpoints are ignored and their frantic push for everything green supersedes all things sensible.
I hope your community can adequately resolve these matters and will determine if these windmills are worthy and either improve, relocate or dump them if they fail to liveup to their (typically) inflated promises.
This is a great song. We can do more with conservation and energy efficiency than we can ever do with wind turbines. It is a scam and waste of tax payer money!
i'm sorry, but this is suchh a beautiful song, and i think she has great song writing skills, which i wish i had the talent for, amazing voice and any one that would like to say otherwise or complain about how wind tubines are doing nothing, i totally disagree, your all jealous you do not have the talent to write such a beautiful song.
mrizod you are obviously a complete neek if you find it necessary to write such a rude message about some one you dont know. You need to get a life mate. and a gerlfriend.

if you want to really get your point across, i would suggest employing a better song writer and performer as frankly i was left un satisfied and uninspired. this has just about summed up those people who refuse to admit that we need to make a real difference to climate change by building windfarms.
on another note, after visiting the family website of this girl, i see that she is related to a plastic surgeon.... why doesnt she look better?
we protect oceans and lakes with wind turbines and kill oceans and lake with coal burning plants so I guess you have to pick your battles really. Great voice though.
As with everything, the devil is in the details. Careful and considerate wind turbine siting is an obligation. They are extremely obtrusive, can destroy mountain ridgelines (blasted roads, pads). They don't belong in many places.
I agree we do need to put more wind turbine fields off the shore line. The clean renewable energy that this will produce will help out this planet more than hurt it. Just think of the positive effect if we closed all the coal burning power plant and put these bad boys in its place.
Consume less. Save the land. These wind turbines will not appreciably displace fossil fuel powered generation. They will add a mere pittance to the grid, and only when the wind blows.
I live in Watton and moved here from London 18months ago where I left the pylons behind. I don't want to see or hear wind turbines. I can see the blimp from my house! There is little wind to speak of in terms of generating electricity for local people who have managed without them so far if it means these 3 eyesores being erected, not to mention the noise. I've never met a poor farmer yet and this is a quick and easy way of making money for nothing.
So good to see someone standing up to the big bully boys trying to cash in on this wind energy goldmine. Of course there is a huge difference between someone making an honest buck, and already rich and greedy farmers lining their pockets oblivious (or not caring) to the misery they are causing to the local villages. I know Benington - these turbines are in totally the wrong place - greedy farmers need standing up to. Well done you!
We all need to remember that our world is going down hill....fast! We should all be doing something to counteract our actions. The turbines would not be erected if they were not going to do the job, but they will, seeing as each turbine is going to supply around a thousand homes each year with electricity.
'Lining one's pockets' is such a terrible crime! But of course, none of you do that, do you?!
As a member of the community in Benington I fully support Benington Wind Farm.
The climate of earth is always changing, the term 'Global warming' is just another reason for more taxes. Wind turbines do provide an alternate energy source which can provide quite a bit of energy IF placed in the right location (common sense is in a WINDY location, like the sea as you suggested), not right in the middle of the countryside.
Well done on this video! You are quite an amazing singer! I really hope the people of Benington win the battle against the wind turbines!

And of course powerplants are beautiful with their tall stacks and nuclear plants are wonderful with cooling towers.

@megametalica13 They wouldn't kill the sea animals, they are built on small concrete islands as wide as the turbine

As long as we keep using the triple bottom line method of thinking we can make better sustainable decisions in turbine placement

Nice job.
