Its a Program its self. name one thing an OS does. does doesn't consist of being a program other than it being on a HD. plus quality over quantity well its good that you just proved my point. windows runs every program. that also means every quality program as well.
macs can only run 35% programs out there tops.
sure there are good ones they have. but id rather save money buying a power pc then buying that as well. while still saving money.
@bow2deathwish if you feel good with a pc, better for you, but What I'm saying is that the differences are not running more programs... instead Adobe Creative Suite's have been optimized for mac and worked better for them. And as I was telling you, OS X has Great differences with windows, the interface, exposé, spaces... not to talk about freezing and viruses.
Still yeah, if you are using programs you only have in windows you most likely should get one, of course.
@SabreShin CS4 worked faster on a mac, I'm just saying you have plenty of programs and not just windows "copies" for mac. By the way, about the spaces and expose applications, I bought a PC las year expecting them to be ok, and that my money would be spent on pc power (that macs theoretically don't have, in relationship with their cost), well, those programs completelly suck (unfortunatelly), macs can freeze, yes, but you can agree me that they are more stable.

if you want i can send you many links to prove to you macs can get viruses. there are so many of them i could search for days and send you list after list and still wouldnt get them all.

isnt true. i can agree mac users back into a corner and try holding that claim but its just not true.
The best art programs will cost you in the range of 100$-5000$ and are for both mac and PC. and are made on PC.
In the end a computer is a computer. the only difference is OS. the computer is only as good as the programs it can run. PC runs them all.
