Just come back from the falklands and the weather really isnt that bad most of the time. infact in the summer i would say its hotter than the uk, just alot more wind. amazing place tho! just a different world!

@richardosiz - It was pretty duff when I got there, the week after this was filmed.. The Mountain froze and we were getting no water from the bore. No showers, just a washing up bowl full that you could stand in every 2 days for a scrubdown!

my father was part of the BBC team that visited the Falklands in 1986. He showed me his home video of his times in the Falklands a week ago.

Great footage, I was there when the BBC came to MK, there are familiar faces at the end, just can't remember their names, even the Sqn Ldr, but it was 24 years ago... Great Times had by all - Nigel Allen - CK in 86 and 96.
