Here's a fact....no North American player has ever won a Stiga Worlds Championship. But by the same token, no European can play at a high level on several different types of games as a North American can. And if we had a worlds using a Munro, BOS, or Body Check, I'm pretty sure a Canadian or American would win. Personally, I like ALL Table Hockey games....I have a collection of 12 games from all different manufacturers, including a wacky Simpsons game.
Gamecraft is okay, but like all those large Halex, sportcraft types, they will break down much quicker than the smaller games. I myself do like the bigger games like Chexx , Carrom....the BOS was sweet, and the newer Bodycheck is certainly world class, as is the Artizan. But the true "gold standard" of the world is like it or not, the Stiga. I myself would have much preferred a Bobby Hull/Orr Munro or Coleco, but hey, thats the way the puck gets deflected.
@stonethemason luv your remark about the BOS being sweet....best game on the planet.....I am kind of prejudice though, I lived it lol...its all good...take it easy....BOS inventor
I haven't had much trouble with the table 'breaking down', sure I've replaced a few small parts here and there, but we've rocked this game pretty hard now for over 5 years and still going strong!...gotta love it
how would you know?...have you even played a Gamecraft??? the flimsy little rods on the stiga don't compare to the foosball type rods on the Gamecraft...think about it
