Also ADAM/ADGM/CIWS of the Kuznetsov are superb, it can launch more than 70 highly agile SAMs in under 10secs just on the anti-missile system alone (Klinok), if engaging surface units it'll have either the BLS Moscow battlegroup or the PtG battlecruiser attached and they've got the S300N with 90km reach. It's no helpless target anytime ever.

One US Nimitz Class ACC could take out half a dozen of these carriers with no problem. Each Nimitz holds nearly ten times the number of fighters. The Su-33 is severly limited in the amount of missiles it can launch with since it is not an assisted takeoff. So cut their effective number by about half. The Kuznetsov only effectively flies maybe 6 totally armed aircraft. The Su-33 radar can only fire against one fighter at a time. Russian naval aviation is outclassed all the way around.

I know the capabilities of the Su-33 and what it can and cannot do. Now...I would never underestimate the Russians missile technology and capabilities. They are 10 years ahead of the US in most respects. Their anti-ship missile capabilities are stellar. So are their SAM systems. I simply was referring to the Su-33 in general.

Using a production line for a whole batch for Russia and India together is much cheaper than setting up a production line for only a couple of Su-33.
