@PeterParkerisded Interesting theory, my friend. It reminds me of a quote from Hatsumi that goes "It is once again the time in human destiny in which ninpo is needed." You may yet be right in your analysis.
Ninja magic? im getting discouraged from wanting to learn this now. I believe in heaven and hell but magic, some of this stuff is none of mine business. I would rather learn the moves, and be confident more in athlectic ability not ''MAGIC'' there is no easy way to learn a martial art.
@godisgreat82ify First of all this is not magic, but that is besides the point. U can easily learn this art without the "magic aspects" of it. Infact most of its students don't or never learn the "magic" aspects. u have to extremely advanced to learn that, nor do they teach it anyone.
@godisgreat82ify the idea of magic in japan is completely different from the idea of magic in western countries, it's not really magic to them... it's more... like an over sensationalization of facts, like a metaphor kind of. get it?
Is there anywhere I can learn more about these hand gestures? I've looked on youtube and online and see a number of different variations. I find it quite confusing to tell if they are just different schools of thought and how each hand formation relates to particular meditations. Anyone who could help it would be much appreciated.
@gekiryudojo uh, you might want to enlighten us as to why a ninja master was executing a martial arts move on you. At that time were you friend or foe?
I trained under the instruction of Mr Wayne L Roy the founder of traditional Ninjutsu in Australia & New Zealand Mr Roy was taught by Hatsumi sensai Mr Roys Schools are the Best I've ever seen & are second to none,..
@ameriskin74 That book was actually compiled and written by Stephen K. Hayes, although there are parts in there that are written by Hatsumi-soke. If you know about historical ninjutsu, you can probably figure out which parts though.
@kazeet456 buddy, if it were ninjas fighting the war for japan they would've won! but we're not like that. and it's more than just "flashing gang signs" like you said.
if you're going to be so material about it, look into quantum theory and how expectation preceeds outcome. soon, you will see there is a place for spirituality and magic, especially with repetition. "miracles" are real, it is a matter of true belief and understanding that there is more than this 3-dimensional, physical existance.
.. and i hardly think that ww2 had anything to do with ninja, besides the occasional hire. [ all within the ninja's control, of course :) ]
Gosh, that's so cool, and somewhat funny. I mean, the Grandmaster seems like a Bronx guy from next door or something, and the girl is very "Western-style" in her whole way of communicating.
Dude this is so crazy to see a legend in his younger age and to the scrolls this is crazy! i wonder who will run the school when he passes does he have children?
He has no children, so the 44th master of the Togakure tradition will probably be his top student and assistant (whose name escapes me at the moment.)
The unfortunate truth is that the ninja scrolls are very hard to decipher because of double meanings. For instance, the kanji for falling leaf could mean an attach using open palms or a takedown using open palms. There are so many ways it could be read, which means over time a lot of the meaning will be lost :(
@nspadina Wow man that really sucks hopefully hes training someone to read the scrolls as he does. i wish some body would find some treausure box with alot of history of ninjas and people they have assasinated! do you know how old he is?
@Blackshinobi352 - Hatsumi sensei is currently 78 years old and he is the 34th soke of Togakure ryu. Upon his passing the 9 ryu-ha's will most likey not be passed down to anyone. Hatsumi sensei has stated so that it is not necessary to pass down sokeship of the ryu-ha's to any person.
@Blackshinobi352 - Budo taijutsu, what Hatsumi sensei has choosen for the name of his art in 1994 to represent the Bujinkan will continue under his loyal Shihan's. He does not believe such individual titles of lineage is necessary in order for his art to survive. He wants his art to be seen as a whole under the name budo taijutsu and not as individual ryu-ha's.
@Mitsushiru = Yes, i completely agree with you. But as may not be as rich as you could be, try to go to Japan and have a class with him teaching. He does really move the mountains of usual convictions that we grow through years in lying societies as ours are. You won't regret the trip.
Wow... he's so young in this video! I know he's even better as a ninja in his older years, but how great of an honor would it have been to be able to spar with this man?
That was awesome old media footage of the Ninpo Grandmaster, thanks for sharing it, there is wisdom in his words, it is hard for me to believe that in the footage he is around the age when I first started training in his Bujinkan Dojo in America. We are lucky to have him in the world of the warrior arts. Fudo mugo!

god , guys u need to understand that in japanese pronounciation of G thre is an obvious N along with G , also R and L pronounced together as one letter. only in anime the dont use this right accent to make it "cool".
Japanese women are cute as a button. If I were to rate all the races that I find attractive, Japanese women are probably in the top 3. Hungarians are number one. Then Irish...

I still meditate alot and I have been working on hand positions to go into a good beginning state for meditation. So this really crosses cultures and has a univeral application in many areas. Fascinating.

uh what does that have to do with your schools claims to ninjutsu being fake...
you surely aren't suggesting that your school operates on the quantum level,... which is the ONLY reasaon quantum physics would aplly...
" soon, you will see there is a place for spirituality and magic"
uh, no we won't as science has proven that spirituality and magic are both concepts created by our own primitive minds to explain things
