  • @PeterParkerisded Interesting theory, my friend. It reminds me of a quote from Hatsumi that goes "It is once again the time in human destiny in which ninpo is needed." You may yet be right in your analysis.

  • He is so young and handsome back in those days

  • I'm sure he kept the really good scrolls at home. "And here's a scroll which is a recipe for apple cobbler."

  • @PeterParkerisded

    Wtf are you talking about?

  • Ah, and I never have seen the Soke so youg xD

  • This girl have some pretty daugher right now? xD

  • Some guys may be misunderstanding what this is.

This "Ninjutsu Sen'ichiya" was a part of Kaze no Fujimaru, it's a cartoon.

The audience she meant were kids.

There is another video with the cartoon.

    watch?v=nFSyfVmoigg

  • Ninja magic? im getting discouraged from wanting to learn this now. I believe in heaven and hell but magic, some of this stuff is none of mine business. I would rather learn the moves, and be confident more in athlectic ability not ''MAGIC'' there is no easy way to learn a martial art.

  • @godisgreat82ify , i believe in the Easter bunny but not the tooth fairy... for real?

  • @godisgreat82ify First of all this is not magic, but that is besides the point. U can easily learn this art without the "magic aspects" of it. Infact most of its students don't or never learn the "magic" aspects. u have to extremely advanced to learn that, nor do they teach it anyone.

  • @godisgreat82ify the idea of magic in japan is completely different from the idea of magic in western countries, it's not really magic to them... it's more... like an over sensationalization of facts, like a metaphor kind of. get it?

  • Is there anywhere I can learn more about these hand gestures? I've looked on youtube and online and see a number of different variations. I find it quite confusing to tell if they are just different schools of thought and how each hand formation relates to particular meditations. Anyone who could help it would be much appreciated.

  • Could you imagine just how badass it would have been in fuedal japan

  • This video has great quality. Soke looks so young!

  • I have actually Had this mans fingers in my mouth raking at my gums in 1992 true!

  • @gekiryudojo uh, you might want to enlighten us as to why a ninja master was executing a martial arts move on you. At that time were you friend or foe?

  • @ustink0815 He was is a friend and was reaching me! I am a 7th Dan Shidoshi in the Bujinkan at the time I was a 4th Dan

  • in american ninja 4, the ninja master is killed by joe.

  • Is she Chieko lightlow?

  • I trained under the instruction of Mr Wayne L Roy the founder of traditional Ninjutsu in Australia & New Zealand Mr Roy was taught by Hatsumi sensai Mr Roys Schools are the Best I've ever seen & are second to none,..

  • @MrBoneStripper- the name of that book is NINJUTSU: History and Tradition. You should be able to get at Barnes and Noble. If not, Amazon for sure

  • @ameriskin74 That book was actually compiled and written by Stephen K. Hayes, although there are parts in there that are written by Hatsumi-soke. If you know about historical ninjutsu, you can probably figure out which parts though.

  • i have an old book of his (masaaki's) on ninjutsu.

it hasa red cover and the black outline of a ninja infront of the sun.

if anybody knows the name of the book, or where i can get another copy.

some one stole it from me a long time ago so..... i realy want a another one.

the book was (is lol) awsome it showes like rope made from hair, how to throw ninja spikes, traditional sherikan, bo sherikan. it was awsome.

  • @MrBoneStripper98

History and Tradition - Soke's pictures but a lot of SK Haye's text I believe.

  • Wow, flashing gang signs can make you see the enemy in the dark and defeat him. That must be why they won WW2!

...oh wait...they lost that one big.

  • @kazeet456 buddy, if it were ninjas fighting the war for japan they would've won! but we're not like that. and it's more than just "flashing gang signs" like you said.

  • @kazeet456

if you're going to be so material about it, look into quantum theory and how expectation preceeds outcome. soon, you will see there is a place for spirituality and magic, especially with repetition. "miracles" are real, it is a matter of true belief and understanding that there is more than this 3-dimensional, physical existance.

.. and i hardly think that ww2 had anything to do with ninja, besides the occasional hire. [ all within the ninja's control, of course :) ]

  • @bdkelevra

"look into quantum theory and how expectation preceeds outcome."

uh what does that have to do with your schools claims to ninjutsu being fake...

you surely aren't suggesting that your school operates on the quantum level,... which is the ONLY reasaon quantum physics would aplly...

" soon, you will see there is a place for spirituality and magic"

uh, no we won't as science has proven that spirituality and magic are both concepts created by our own primitive minds to explain things

  • Gosh, that's so cool, and somewhat funny. I mean, the Grandmaster seems like a Bronx guy from next door or something, and the girl is very "Western-style" in her whole way of communicating.

    Many thanks for the upload!

  • Great footage of Soke! :)

  • When he's gone, I will be the new master....but i've got to learn ninjutsu first, lol.

  • the way he sits

  • what about it

  • She is sooooooooo pretty! What is her name? I forgotten to watch sensei Hatsumi because of her!

  • Dude this is so crazy to see a legend in his younger age and to the scrolls this is crazy! i wonder who will run the school when he passes does he have children?

  • He has no children, so the 44th master of the Togakure tradition will probably be his top student and assistant (whose name escapes me at the moment.)

The unfortunate truth is that the ninja scrolls are very hard to decipher because of double meanings. For instance, the kanji for falling leaf could mean an attach using open palms or a takedown using open palms. There are so many ways it could be read, which means over time a lot of the meaning will be lost :(

  • @nspadina Wow man that really sucks hopefully hes training someone to read the scrolls as he does. i wish some body would find some treausure box with alot of history of ninjas and people they have assasinated! do you know how old he is?

  • @Blackshinobi352 - Hatsumi sensei is currently 78 years old and he is the 34th soke of Togakure ryu. Upon his passing the 9 ryu-ha's will most likey not be passed down to anyone. Hatsumi sensei has stated so that it is not necessary to pass down sokeship of the ryu-ha's to any person.

  • @ghidorah2009 wow so like he doesent want it to go on im confused

  • @Blackshinobi352 - Budo taijutsu, what Hatsumi sensei has choosen for the name of his art in 1994 to represent the Bujinkan will continue under his loyal Shihan's. He does not believe such individual titles of lineage is necessary in order for his art to survive. He wants his art to be seen as a whole under the name budo taijutsu and not as individual ryu-ha's.

  • @ghidorah2009 o ok that makes sense thank you friend for sharing that information

  • OMG. this is so cool. thanks a lot for posting this.

  • Wonderful

  • 短い番組だね

  • @Mitsushiru = Yes, i completely agree with you. But as may not be as rich as you could be, try to go to Japan and have a class with him teaching. He does really move the mountains of usual convictions that we grow through years in lying societies as ours are. You won't regret the trip.

  • thats cool

  • Wow... he's so young in this video! I know he's even better as a ninja in his older years, but how great of an honor would it have been to be able to spar with this man?

  • excellent - thanks for posting it - its a real treasure.

  • wow that chick is very cute!!

  • Nice quality for a really old film..

  • これは懐かしい!

When I was a little boy, I watched this proglam in the TV.

The end of Ninja animation program, he

introduced and explained Ninjutu for us.

Of course I did'nt know who is he, I was a only little boy.

    It about 40years ago.

  • The title makes a mistake. 34 generations

  • they were just trying to deceive the audience

  • That was awesome old media footage of the Ninpo Grandmaster, thanks for sharing it, there is wisdom in his words, it is hard for me to believe that in the footage he is around the age when I first started training in his Bujinkan Dojo in America. We are lucky to have him in the world of the warrior arts. Fudo mugo!

  • Never have seen this although I quit training physically after 2001. Thanks for sharing...now I have to forward it to my contact in Japan to see if it was ok to even have posted this. lol.

  • Does any one know were to find me a ninja sensei because I realy neeed one.

  • lol

on your page you say youre already a ninja, so why would you need one?? xD

  • wow he was a lady's man

  • so young!!

  • omg, wonderful video, so good to see Sensei Hatsumi so young :) also Chieko is sooo cute ;) loved the vid

  • What a great video... being a fan of the Jiraiya series, it is awesome to see that type of material...tks for posting!

  • wow the quality is so good, thanks for putting this up!

  • Are there any others of these old interviews?

  • totally radical vid dude!!!!!!!!

  • whoa look at soke there, he is very young, good find.

  • nice material! thank you!!!

  • very cool...'look forward for more!

  • wow

  • aww our sensei he looks young and cute lol his idiolect is the same though ^_^

  • holy smoke bombs he's young in that clip. thank you for opening some eyelids out there. somewhat.hehehe.

  • What year was this from?

  • By their hairstyle and being black and white... I'd guesstimate that it's in the 60s.

  • At first he said "fudo muno" but when she asked about the finger position she hold, he answered "fudo mugo". Is that a ninja trick, then it's really godd cause I got very confused now, "fudo muno" or "fudo mugo"??? :s

  • No, he said Fudo Mugo twice. The sub titler made the mistake.

  • Sorry, but I was a little bit sarcastic about the subtitles. My apologies!

  • god , guys u need to understand that in japanese pronounciation of G thre is an obvious N along with G , also R and L pronounced together as one letter. only in anime the dont use this right accent to make it "cool".

  • Sorry, but it was sarcastic, cause of the subtitles. My bad!

  • Awesome video!!!

  • i think im the cutest <3

  • Japanese women are cute as a button. If I were to rate all the races that I find attractive, Japanese women are probably in the top 3. Hungarians are number one. Then Irish...

  • Lol yea ok =\

  • Yep. Mmm. {:-\

  • Maybe that was years ago, but now, most of japanese girls look like "wannabe R&B sista" and "wannabe american" and some shit like that, and the result is they don't have neither japanese charm, neither the white girls charm. It's a pity but that's the reality.

  • "You'll never go broke appealing to the lowest common denominator." -Lisa Simpson

  • lets face it.....we was all busy watching her!!

  • that girl was hot!

  • Wow, he's so young in this video!

That woman is so cute too! "doron doron teeheehee"

  • Master of the masters!!!

  • after watching her i was master of the baters.....roflmao

  • great man...

hey, Im portugese too i can translate that for you... voce is like a formal way to say "you", and farku means absolutely nothing.

are you sure that is correctly spelled?

  • hatsumi so young!!!!! A great man and an even greater ninja.....graças a si.. esto nas artes marcias...tb.. pratique taijutsu...sou portuges...........ovar.

  • hey ure portugese rite? okok i need u to translate me something

wats the meaning of voce e farku???

    helpp

  • She's so happy.

  • really really good clip...interesting to see soke hatsumi so young!

  • That's FUDO MYOO

  • hatsumi san is very western for japanese. it is peaceful

  • The translation sucks... Hatsumi Masaaki is the 34th soke

  • absoutely beautiful....jesus the girls even back then are hot!!!

  • holy...even the girls back in the day were so friggin cute! xD

  • I think they mean 34th Grandmaster of Ninjutsu, not 43rd.

  • A great man and an even greater ninja. Master Hatsumi is truly talented and knowlegable of the blurred art of ninjutsu.

  • wow! thanks for uploading this! it is truly rare footage..

  • I love this, although I am not a ninja.

I trained in meditation with Glenn Morris and he instilled respect for Hatsumi in me.

I still meditate alot and I have been working on hand positions to go into a good beginning state for meditation. One of my hand positions is just exactly like the interlaced-fingers-for-calm thing which he is showing here... something similar is used in reflexology. So this really crosses cultures and has a univeral application in many areas. Fascinating.

  • Yep indeed this vid is just so incredibly rare...we're very lucky and happy to be able to see it!

  • Very nice footage, this is the stuff you don't find on the internet every day.

  • she probably looks like Dr. Hatsumi now..

  • The chick is very cute!!

  • have to agree, amazing footage......and i want to marry her....lol.

  • Holy crap! Thanks for posting this awesome vid. :D

  • he was such a handsome man ^_^.....now he's really old and he stil kicks butt! :D

  • wow!!! That is awsome...

  • thank you very much for this rarely video,

very precious, for the futur and ninpo ikkan.

  • good interview the girl has a cute voice

  • Thank you very much for this rear clip :) and i'll add 1 coment are ther any more ?

  • Thank you very much for this rear clip.

  • What a great video!

  • Wow! Who are you and where did you get ahold of this? Thanks so much for posting this.

  • The video clip is a dvd extra from the film Kage no Gundan Hattori Hanzo 1980.

  • Are there more clips with Hatsumi on it?

  • This is the only clip on the dvd with Hatsumi.

The dvd is the movie Kage no Gundan Hattori Hanzo 1980 not the tv show, just incase anyone gets them mixed up.

  • wow is right. never seen anything close to this old with Hatsumi on video. very cool.
