yeah for those who don't get it right: this IS Kool and the Gang, when they played good funk music.

Kool and the Gang first formed in the late 60's under the name The Jazziacs. Their first outputs were all instrumental funk, soul and jazz. Althought their first sung track is "let the music take your mind" from the first album period (1970), they really began <riting songs at the time they released the "Good Times" LP, in 1972.

And the guy rappin is Lightnin' Rod from the Last Poets.
