* Despairs* I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANY MORE! Thanks anyway. Oh and I've heard many people play a feadog and make it sound mellow. Irish people swear on the brand. Has to be my technique...
@NobodyOfTheTardis Well, normally you just blow harder and it will reach the higher octave. I don't know what's wrong with your whistle, if anything. :/
@Dedicated222Duty I think it could be my technique. I had a Generation D whistle originally which was flawed so was squeaky, but I only got one octave on that. most people can (including you)
@NobodyOfTheTardis Hm, I honestly don't know bud. I use Chieftain whistles myself, they're a bit more expensive but they produce a great sound, and are easy to play. :)
@NobodyOfTheTardis have you considered looking into buying a better whistle? The High D Whistle in this video is a Tony Dixon, they're well made and around 20-40$ for the high ones.

@NobodyOfTheTardis haha not a problem bud. :)

Also, my flute is a Feadog, and when I blow harder, the octave doesn't change.

@NobodyOfTheTardis I play in both the Low D octave and the High D. Two different whistles, but both are in the key of D.

@Dedicated222Duty I have no idea how I'm supposed to reach the different octave.

Ignore the last bit of that comment... half of it disapeared.

@Dedicated222Duty My Feadog is much better, but blowing harder again just increases the volume not the octave.

How do I play this on a D flute? Because when I get to the first E it's too low.
NobodyOfTheTardis 6 days ago
@NobodyOfTheTardis The first part is played in the higher octave of my low D whistle, not the regular octave of my high D.
