the only thing i dont like about ricky is he is like a fundamentalist. like, religious ppl will fight u if they disagree and ricky is the same when he's really into a topic. lol ironically its religious. XD i mean, he is very chill but he obsesses about religion as much as any religious person ha. i mean yeah it's funny but DAMN...he really is obsessed with the topic. im actually sick of religious talk. anyone else?

No. We see why Ricky is so popular. We view it exactly the opposite of the way you do. We feel, in America, religion is forced onto everyone in so many ways, like having "in god we trust" on OUR money. WE have a separation of church and State, a legal one. America is the only industrialized nation that is a majority of the religious. religions take in millions and go Untaxed, and they discriminate in handing out funds they receive. religion is bad, dangerous, and it has to go away.

Additionally, with regard to "in god we trust," we don't, we don't believe in such childish nonsense, and what did the republicans do with OUR Taxpayer money just a week ago? They took hours to reaffirm the motto "in god we trust." So, Ricky is exactly right in returning the fire of the self-righteous knowledge-less religious Kooks who having been telling us all how "right" and "moral" they are for centuries, while their Pedophilia, Wars and Fraud have continued unfettered. @mccainisthroughX I'm aware of that, but he doesn't speak against it constantly. It's only part of his live shows. The office wasn't about religion, extras wasn't, neither is Life's too Short, and it hardly ever gets mentioned during the podcast. I agree that Christianity and all other religions are bs and that he clearly DOES take the piss out of them, but he isn't religious or dogmatic about it. That's all I meant.

No worries. We know Ricky quite well, and more than 50% of what he says, is about how stupid and unnecessary religion is. One of the reasons we're close with Ricky is his feelings about how dangerous religion is. One of Ricky's, and our focuses, is to eliminate the silliness of religion from Our planet.

Also, don't say 'religious people' as if they are all the same, there are loads of different religions all with different beliefs. And just as it is wrong for religions to force their beliefs on people as if they are fact, it's wrong for athiests to tell them that god definately does not exist. Being an athiest doesn't make you better than a religious person, and you aren't.

Then he insisted the age of the Earth was different than the thousands young Earth creationists hold. While there is evidence that points to a younger age, even then "day" is defined in Genesis 1 as morning and evening. Without a Sun until day 4, there's no reason to presume the first 3 days were 24 hours long.

Two things I often notice when anti-Christian new atheists respond, they tend to do two things - pretend to laugh and use mean spirited insults.

I'm not trying to say just you, but this happens so often on YouTube in so many different kinds of debates. When you can't just post your argument, type in "Lol" when you're not really laughing and you're clearly upset.

@highwind8124 The reason for it is because it is a limit to what you can debate without seeming dumb yourself. The new earth theory is so bisarre that it is hard to take seriously. It would be the same if I were to start a serious debate with you on the excistance of Santa Claus, there is really no reason for you to take that kind of debate seriously, unless you would do it just for the laugh of it to see where it would go. I agree that people can hold back their insults though.

I've heard Catholic Nuns talk about how a lot of the Bible is simply metaphorical, especially when it comes to periods of time. So now, you're using the argument that caused reasonable doubt about creationism to swing the pendulum back towards it? Absurd. It's not as if the Earth could have grown and developed in darkness, and besides, Solar systems don't just appear.
