@Spacemonkeymojo -you can create drum samples by filtering the white noise. but its very difficult and you have to use and external loop staion. you can use the delay to loop one measure, but its very hard to make it sound good.
@earlky94 or any of the ms series for that matter, try combining one of the ms series with at sequencer from the sq series. with that combo you can make great live analog drum loops and bass lines.

Can you use the microkorg to loop samples or drum lines? Are there drum samples on the microkorg or can you create them?

the korg ms 20 allows you to patch anything to everything. you ought to take a look at it
