  • Ok, was that, scary? Were you worried about an accident, or were you totally confident in your safety?

  • @kittenvideosareawwww I was pretty nerve wracking. The chances of blowing a hole with the type of rod we're using here is quite low however. You'd have to be a royal fuck up to punch a hole with 7018. Still the possibility lurks in the back of your mind.

  • @xAZAZELx13 need welders helper? i am sick of doing production line work i need a real mans work

  • @junghoon79 No I don't sorry. You should check Kijiji or Craigslist to see if there are any Welders in your area who need helpers.

  • Are telling me there is some pipe somewhere in this world with a poisonous flammable gas in it and you got a permit to do hot work on it without depressurising it and and flushing it with an inert gas? What demented part of the world are you from?

  • @conoba Hot Taps are done ALL THE TIME all over the world.

  • Cool vid. Its Hydrogen Sulfide not Hydrogen Sulphide btw.

  • @TrIGgeRFiEnD It depends on which country you come from. Both are technically correct. I used both spellings in the tags.

  • @TrIGgeRFiEnD Thats the American spelling although america and England agreed on Sulfide but only if you Americans pronounced aluminium right , but they don't so sulphide it is!

  • @reubenthorpe1992 The IUPAC all over the world have agreed to leave it is as Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S). I am chemist and that's they way my English friends have also spelled it. As for Aluminum, pronunciation may be different here in America, but its still spelled the same way. But if you insist, cheereo!

  • @TrIGgeRFiEnD Here in Canada is spelled "Sulphide."

  • @TrIGgeRFiEnD Trust me in England we spell it Sulphide

  • @reubenthorpe1992 I blocked that TrlGgeRFiEnD guy for being a smart assed prick. He thinks he's some sort of spelling/grammar cop or something. I don't have time to entertain comments by retards like him.

  • @reubenthorpe1992 Here in Canada is spelled "Sulphide."

  • @xAZAZELx13 That's nice!

  • @TrIGgeRFiEnD Blocked for being a smart ass.

  • lmao if someone thought they could get arch-eye from watching this

  • @4dread5 Nah! As long as you wear your safety glasses you won't get a flash. Certainly not through the computer screen! haha =)

  • where is the butter layer, wat too much heat input with that size of rod. 5/64 root 3/32 fill and cap, 1/8 if you like.

  • @Claythor87 What are you talking about? 5/64th root? I've never seen a 5/64th rod before. Feel free to post a video showcasing your technique if you feel like it.

  • Dude, next time they want you to do that maybe ask for SCBA !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @alibong00 I dunno if there'll be a next time.

  • Not trying to bust your balls here but burning through with LoHi is hard to do let alone on an olet weld, none the less way to get it done the weld looks slick too.

  • @thehotone20 How many hot taps have you done on a pipe with 1200ppm H2S flowing through?

  • @xAZAZELx13 Well, 700 is instant death concentration isn't it? If you blew through you'd never know about it ;-)

  • @dbennett4 Yeah pretty much! That dumbass thehotone20 has no clue what he's talking about!

  • @xAZAZELx13 Also, I'm sure the pipe was UT'd for thickness before welding there was even considered!

  • @dbennett4 It was fairly think pipe. 6mm if I remember correctly which is pretty thick for yellow jacket. I have no idea why they wanted these olets on the pipe (we did three of these). I guess they were going to install some kind of gauge or valve or something.

  • @xAZAZELx13 either way, pretty sure the client didn't want you dead and their site blown off the face of the earth :D

  • @dbennett4 I hope they didn't want me dead! LOL!

  • @deathcoil88 Thanks for the comment!

  • holy shit that requires serious skill!!! i'd have caused an explosion and poisoned my self before i even started welding.

  • @spotlightman1234 This was the first time I'd ever done this so I was a little nerve wracked to say the least! Thanks for the comment bro!

  • oh crap they would have to pay me 6x$ to do that shit. good job!

  • Good job man, that aint easy! Scary stuff right there. I liked the figure at the end of the video....

  • @humans4targets2 Death was waiting for me...

  • that aint no bubble gum welding

  • @frodo70444 thanks for watching Frodo! I'm back home now and I'm gonna start practicing some wheelies! LOL!

  • very nice welds!I suck at welding lol

  • @daddyoca69 My buddies a really good welder! Thanks for watching Digital!

  • Damn I just got welder's flash LMAO great vid and great camera shot : }

  • @MolsonMuscle2 Thanks bro! I like the "Stinger Cam" myself! LOL!

  • @xAZAZELx13 LOL ya that is some nasty gas you playin with there no wonder you get the big big bucks one burn through and BANG its over !!!!!!!!!

  • @MolsonMuscle2 We were burning 7018 and the odds of a burn through were pretty minimal. Still it was kind of nerve wracking.

  • @xAZAZELx13 Ya I bet nerve racking is the word but ya 7018 are mild so no worries there damn I haven't heard that # in ages all we do at our company is mig and flux core haven't seen a stick since school lol

  • @MolsonMuscle2 I'm the exact opposite. I haven't touched MIG or Flux Core since school which is kind of unfortunate because I really enjoyed MIG.

  • @xAZAZELx13 Thats crazy how we are so opposite but ya Mig is nice and clean !!!!!! Sucks for me I don't do enough welding now I'm all CNC programming now its good but just stand there and watch the machine do all the work lol

  • @MolsonMuscle2 you gotta get some vids of that CNC machine! You should get a program for making AR-15 lowers for that CNC machine and stay late after work turning them out! I'll buy one and I know a few others who would too! LOL!

  • @xAZAZELx13 Shit I know bro I could make a ton but thats not the machine we have but ya lowers would go sick for sure I have a friend that might be able to do something about that : }

  • sweet

  • @leoffensive Thanks Leo! I got a bunch more work related videos you might enjoy coming up.

  • sour gas is bad news

  • @MrLongbranch303 You know it! Thanks for watching bro!

  • OMG..your line of work is so dangerous...very interesting though, Jeff used to weld.. he still has his welding helmet., .. :)

  • @LinasLove69 I haven't had to work around this stuff for several years. I was pretty nervous down in this ditch I gotta admit!

  • @xAZAZELx13 I would be too..wow dangerous jobs out there...I'm glad I'm a girl.. :)

  • X-ray this mofo's

  • @rollerpodger This was X-rayed for sure!

  • @xAZAZELx13 yeah I Know otherwise it would be looking like the gas Chambers at a concentration camp up in dis bitch magic absent with the welding cracks and H2S

  • @rollerpodger Welding is a Miracle!

  • @xAZAZELx13 arch welders how the fuck do they work must be Magic

  • @rollerpodger Magic everywhere up in this Bitch! LOL!

  • You need a vest so that people can see you. LOL

  • @Tacticalgearhead I hate wearing reflective stuff simply because people can see me!

  • @xAZAZELx13 hahaah

  • @Tacticalgearhead I like to keep a low profile!

  • kool

  • @Jailawhale Thanks for watching! I got a bunch more vids to be uploaded you'll probably enjoy.

  • @xAZAZELx13 I am a shitty welder . The only kind I am good at is the exothermic welding with the graphite molds .We use the shit out of those on the high profile stuff like towers,FAA grounding loops,Etc . You have to dry the moisture out of the molds first . We used to put in 10 3/4 ground rods 10 feet long for the cell towers ,and then weld them all together . I have the hand held hydraulic crimpers for some of that style of work . I will rewatch vid,I am lucky to be alive ,alot of high voltag

  • @Jailawhale Sounds kind of interesting! I've never heard of Exothermic Welding before.

  • @xAZAZELx13 Does not require skill like yours. Any blue collar guy could do it .

  • Hydrogen Sulfide Gas=YUM

  • @cokeman2423 Breath Deep! It'll set you free...

  • Whoa now. Did they at least pay you extra for this?

  • @SupremeAmerican My extra pay was the Adrenalin rush! LOL!

  • what is the H2S being used for?

  • @sicklid72 Here it's not being used for anything. it's just a harmful byproduct of the process of obtaining natural gas. H2S can and is used to make Sulfur by the reaction of combining it with SO2 (Sulfur Dioxide). About 25% of all Sulfur worldwide is obtained this way.

  • @xAZAZELx13 geeze.....I guess my public education didn't pay off after all. lol.

  • @sicklid72 LOL! I'm full of useless information!

  • @xAZAZELx13 I'm all about the "fun facts". Now I'm going to got to work tomorrow and regurgitate this info.

  • @sicklid72 Hahahaha Perfect!!!
