  • form a bleeding great queue on the landing, you can imagine sid shouting hurry up i need a pee.........! lovely guy and sadly missed.

  • Lovely song, from a time when people cared for each other, what a shame people now are so rude and selfish.terrible really.

  • What a good old song. I didn't even know Sid James could sing

  • Sid james was not known for his singing, but this is good.

  • Poor mans dead and people stir shit,I just remember this guys as excellent actors and actresses who made me laugh as a kid and those memories are invaluable to me.

  • I think this is lovely - I love Sid. Thank you very much for the song - it reminds me of the time my grandparents were alive and things just seemed simpler. Am I getting older? Yes. Do I care? No f**cking way - not with lovely songs like this.

  • @SilverWitness so true, lovely song, just right with sid singing, nice guy and sadly missed by people like me who at 40 was growing up watching him in the carry on films, precious memories.

  • just one thing sid james wasnt in carry on screaming btw

  • @DSilius Sid was due to be in Sceaming but had a heart attack so the part was given to Harry H Corbett, In Doctor ,the next film , Sid was still recovering thats why he spends most of the film in bed.

  • It the world was a Carry On film, things would be SO much better,

  • never heard this before....loved it....Sid James was awesome.....my fav carry on member...

  • he was not a wife beater, his wife always says how amaizng he was.

  • Carry On was a fun bunch of characters with a lot of good british humor. I keep watching 'em. Thanks for posting these vids ! Great stuff.

  • love this video reminds me of my home when i was a kid many many years ago thanks for posting,

  • Sid James did NOT beat his wife... why do people drag up this utter crap after these people have died? Sid was a wonderfully funny character... he made us all laugh when he was alive; we still laugh at his films... he was a funny man...he deserves respect..... now leave him alone and stop trying to blacken his name.

  • Great stuff !!

    Thanks for uploading this

Sid is the King of Carry On's

  • sid james did not beat his wife he had windsor and he was a gambler but not a wife beater.

  • Sid James,Alan Sugar parted at birth.

  • Well, he did have his faults. He was certainly unfaithful, (he pursued Barbara Windsor for years) and he definitely had a horse racing betting problem, but I don't think he was ever a wife beater.

  • I don't think that is true, Sid being a wife beater?

  • One of my all time favorite actor. He was brilliant.

  • if you are correct then this would be terrible as I have a utter dislike for men who abuse women.

  • @mikefranky i think your getting him mixed up with tommy cooper its well known that he beat his wife

  • me too i was gutted when i heard he died.

  • That Sid James Bermondsey song was in Three Hats For Lisa with Joe Brown which is posted on here!

  • he's legend

  • great stuff, never seen that before x

  • i recall him singing"the happy razor-slashed faces of the people i love."does anyone else?and what movie was it in?

  • James made a very convincing Cockney, my mother didn't know he was South African.

  • Good old Sid.

  • I remember him singing this on 'The Golden Shot' shortly before he died.

  • Thanks for posting this, great little gem of a find :-) hahaahaaha (Sid James style)

  • I always felt it wasn't a proper 'Carry On ' when Sid played the villain. I remember a disappointing later 'Doctor' one where he was the criminal doing the scheming (although the seventies ones were almost all poor, really), but most of all, it was the 60's 'Carry on Cowboy' which never ever appealed to me because it just seemed wrong that he played the baddie. I simply never saw Sid that way or believed in him as that sort of character, however much he later said he enjoyed playing the part.

  • Peter Rogers said that the Carry On name was the star but I always thought that if a Carry On Film didn't have Sid or Kenny then it didn't feel like a proper Carry On.

  • Thanks for this. Great stuff.

  • this is so lovely thankyou i didnt know he sang a song cant stop playing it x
