@Lathox And let us not forget that the Sith were always more powerful than the Jedi. Can't explain why, but it's so true. Look at KotOR I, KotOR II, SWTOR and then at the movie "Star Wars - Episode III: Revenge of the Sith". They're always so epic, so dark, so manipulative and destructive and they've always destroyed thousands and thousands of Jedi. Guess evil is more powerful than good.

The jedi do train against each other, but they rarely ever have to fight one of their own. The Sith however need to be able to fight any foe. So that's one reason. One very big disadvantage of being a sith, besides the obvious is that they have virtually no healing abilities. Jedi don't have force choke, lightning, or other cool things. But the sith don't have force healing. It's a really useful thing that they are missing out on.

In the first Star Wars script drafts, lightsabers were weapons used by Imperial troops and Rebels alike, but the producers decided that to make this weapon unique, they restricted the use to Jedis and Siths. You don't need of any Force Sensitivity to push the button and slash something in half, but the lightsaber is difficult to master, so only Force Sensible subjects happen to use it.
