At 1:00 and 1:57, the sections between the verses, this is the way that those two measures are supposed to sound...but that's my opinion...which doesn't count for a lot...

yes thats whats in the piano conductor score its ok to improv around the structure but obvs its what ever the MD and his band feel better, personally i'd improvise...

Yeah, I can understand that. I'm not anti-improv by any means. I've seen the score as well and I agree that there's plenty of room for improvisation. I just thought it was sort of a novelty to find a recording with the original sequence of notes in tact. It seems (based on my findings on youtube) that very few conductors choose to have those transition measures played (more or less) as written. Like I said, my opinion...it doesn't count for much.

i cried so much as soon as mickey got out of prison and was addicted i started crying there then the shots fired, i jumped out my seat and burst in to tears as soon as the first line of this song came in :( I LOVE BLOOD BROTHERS :D i watched it with my drama class last thursday and want to see it again :D

I think it's probably something like "Madman on the Run", because I watched the play. The only song that sounded vaguely like the tatil you gave was during a scene in which Micky runs off with a gun to go and try and shoot Eddie. (You'd have to watch the play if you want to know what I'm rambling about, but I assume you have).

No, actually I think this is faithful to the original song. However, in alot of professional productions, they repeat the last chorus for dramatic effect.

there is a way to correct the instrumental so it ends in the right place to match the lyrics take when it gets to 2:54 edit in the part at starting at 1:57 and you'll have the whole song

i saw Blood Brothers on Wednesday and it was amazing i was sobbing, i fell in love with the story and i absolutely love this song.

When i saw it Maureen Nolan played the part of Mrs Johnstone and i have to say she was brilliant she was both witty, serious and a great singer.

I've heard Barbara Dickson sing this on a video and she's has probably been one of the best, but still Maureen Nolan pulled this off.
