Man are there any mods that I can join or fight other nations military in missions so I can role play a navy pilot in single player. I'm sick of all these mods saying you can do all this stuff but its only in MP. Oh join the Rheinland navy, yea in MP. Roleplay w/e you want, yea in MP. Be a naval hero or a space pirate, YEA IN MP.

whenever i try to start this in FMM its says the mod manager cant load it. what a waist

@Keli001 I have the same problem, the mod manager just won't activate/load the mod. And I've gone back and uninstalled everything and re-installed following exact given instructions, I've QUADRUPLE checked this dang thing, and it still won't work.

@qazwazqaz22 Take my advice and wait. It may seem that the Mod Manager is frozen, but actually it works, just the mod is too big for it.

@assassinscreed9393 Well if you have windows 7 / vista you need to run FMM as administer, also if you turned it on when it was not in admin mode turn it off. then activate the mod and it should work.

You can download freelancer via torrent ... works perfect to play online with the mods!! ;)

Discovery is a f**** crap.

iv first played Crossfire for 2-3 months, than tried Discovery. must admit, i like it for a while, and played it almost for half year. but thats just bcoz theres more ppl. nothing else. Discovery becamed worst and worst with every month. lot of admins r unfriendly, they putted some such confusing rules, even they dont know what they want. u can be banned without any reason, i mean it. not to mention lot of players who u dont like to see and talk.total crap

@EnjoylThelSilence the new freeworld is going to be awesome, coming december 15... and the admins are so nice, they have an introduction forum for new members where a developper greats you in person. They have left quite an impression on me so far, and the mod is not even out yet.

Crossfire r way better. u also have tons of ships, ppl who playing ARE friendly and willing to help u, whatever u need. head admin actualy talk with ppl, listen suggestions, rules r easy to understand. game have WAY better story, mystery and feeling of loosing in big waste of space. with discovering of every new system i got chills when im entering hyperspace. u should try Crossfire and play it a lil, theres no better mode for FL from this.

i tried to instal the mod but when i instal it tells me that i need Freelancer mod manager but when i try to add it via FMM it gives me an error message i heard that its a common issue that the mod dosent work with FMM so how do i install it?

@killer21334 you should apply it via FMM , but be patient, since it is a very big mod it takes a while to install, due to this windows may take it as the FMM has frozen, but don't borther with it just be patient

@Keli001 never mind i fixed it turns out i just had a wrong version of FLMM

but i have a question they mod features featured a "Destructable universe" so far i only found 1 non mission related station that had a health bar

do all stations aventually become destroyable

some peoples crappy connections means they have the need to stop or pause the download so torrents make that a great deal easier

has anyone ever finished the normal storu with this mod ?!?! i reached kusari and wow.... is it impossible to take down a drake ... impossible !!! they can take u down only if they amass but u can't shoot down even one ... at least i couldn't o.O ... it's impossible , for a human !!

@pipobun I managed to win the whole game, i dont say it was easy. Especialy the last missions when you infiltrate Liberty space(before entering Alaska). Those god damn patriots IMPOSSIBLE TO HIT THEM!! Also very powerful weapons. What i did to complete that mission, is to simply use afterburners, kill the engines, look back and try to shoot and get as far away as possible and Juni, Ozu and other blood dragons will take out easily. If its too slow try to go to cruise speed and kill the engines.

@Soulsphere001 The v1.1 patch is built-in as far as I know, and the unofficial v1.4 is also built in, but it's unnecessary because there's only one official server for the mod.

This mod is SO HARD. I just started out and I was versing a Rogue and it took me like 5 mins just to take down his health. I ended up quitting :P

Just DLed this mod and i got to say, the enemy is tough. Long battles are awesome and I love seeng them fight for survival. I like this challange. This game is even more epic than the game without mods.

@bighed23 There are over 200 new ships... with unique models most original from Crossfire for years, that now other mods have most of our ships, it's comprehensive :D You can see part of them here(most from CF 1.7 still...

And you can see a list of features which CF has, it has about 2000 lines lol
