  • @forfigs acctually for a jumper her posture is perfect. Jumpers tend to sit forward in there seat because then you can get into your jumping position whenever the horse lifts its front feet

  • Good job but sit up

  • just 1 suggestion... she is moving her arms and like pushing him too much it looks really crazy... i know it was jumpers but it shouldnt look that crazy

  • Great round! That course looked fantastic, even had a mini Devil's Dyke! would the horse perhaps be more comfortable in a bit-less bridle as he has such a soft mouth?

  • I love the longacres derby :) Fun stuff!

  • niceee!! i really liked the horse.

  • wow!! good job!! you're an amazing rider and beautiful horse!! 1:21 was amzing!! great job!

  • WOW!!!

This was some of the most amazing riding and horse ability I have seen in a long time! What a complex course :o

  • wow well done

    how big r the jumps

nd how big is ur horse x

  • that horse makes those jumps looks soo effortless

  • A little loose, overall? I would've been off if I rode like that...she's got some Velcro under her breeches! ((Such a cute horse..geez!))

  • hi =]

thats a really nice round, but i agree with whoever it was before, you could do with just rounding him a bit, just gettin his feet under him, and gettin the impulsion right, and aswell (sorry if i seem bossy) you could do with just sitting up a bit, i know it was a derby, but they were still showjumps, and it will help with your impulsion etc. :D but your horse is lovely, with a bit of schooling he looks like he could be a serious jumping horse:)

really sorry if i seem bossy :P

    xx

  • ummmm no anyone could not do that. lets c u try.

  • gorgeous horse. I bet this horse would do well in the big hunter divisions.

  • not badd.

but you probably wouldn't of had those rails if your horse wasn't strung out. get him together a bit and you'll be bringin home more blues(:

  • I agree. You would also find it easier because then the fences wouldnt come up so fast and it would give you more time around the corners to get straight etc.

  • I'm rofling so hard on how big of a horse nerd you are, I guess everyone has their own forte ahahha

  • got2jumpbig needs to get over herself :) hahah

    this was a nice course.

i wish we had something like this in hawaii.

  • I think you should ignore that little girl, you look fine, just again the whole straighter position thing, and third place is awesome and go you, well done!

  • well thats what you say.....try to be nice....she did look okayyy :)

  • Third place isn't bad at all! I dont mean to be rude, but there is still space for improvement, you really need to sit up straight :) I made the mistake of just doing jumping and no flatwork, FLATWORK REALLY HELPS! it not only improves you but it will help your horse too :) your horse does look a bit strung out.

    have a nice day :)

  • haha, your acting so full of yourself, she looks just fine, and just because she got third doesnt mean she isnt very good! a lot of people cant do that!

  • your horse is really good..and your okay..u can use some work :) but i give you a lot of credit lol cause i could never do what you just did :) good job

  • how did you place? great job except for that wall...:)

  • I'm not being mean but she deff. needs to collect the horse so he can use his hind end. It would help so much in those combos' He was on the forehand way to much. and she looked like she tried way to hard to keep him at the canter, she needed to be quiter. and at the beg. it looks like her saddle doesn't put her in the right pos. her legs are a little bit to foreward. Overall a pretty nice ride. she has a cute horse too.

  • i agree totally

  • was it me or did she move to much when she cantered

  • nice round. some advise, dont pugh with ur seat, back and forth back and forth..

    good luck :)

  • omg! Your good try shortening your reins a smidge. Other than that your great!

  • She can't shorten her reins more. I know this horse-- he has a very very very soft mouth and can't stand any pressure on his mouth at all, he freaks out when you take up too much reins.

  • Oh. I'm sorry, she was very good anyways! :)

  • ilu Jenn!! Its marta btw! lol

  • OMG! Was that Devil's dyke scary? You horse looks like it hesitated before going in!

I'm so scared of jumping those things! haha

  • Gosh your horses is amazing! he reminds me of mine but your looks like he knows where to put his feet ALOT better then mine..but mines learning..and wow that one line with like 5 jumps in it...whoa...you and your horse haddled it very well...

    very nice job!!

  • :OOO WHOAAA great jumping, your a natural!!! Just stay relaxed, you guys look really good togetehrr, I can see you have a tight bond.

I love the arch over the jumps, it looks so pretty! I actually have jumped at this dirby before on my horse gabby ;D

  • Jeez guys people don't post stuff like this to be criticized unless they say, "Please critique" or whatever... Everyone has a different opinion/method so please just keep your ideas to yourselves. :)

  • umm i think he is just troting in a small circle getting ready to canter so he looks a LITTLE lame

  • i take ur point bt if the horse woz down on the bit shed hav a lot more steer and it would be easier to collect and extend his strides this also makes him lighter on his forhand and helps him to bring his legs beneath him for more impulsion also for impulsion if u sit up a lil towards paralells an lean a lil bit 4ward for spreads that helps a lot. well dun tho an i hope i didnt sound like i woz naggin lol : )

  • thats lik a xc corse 2............. very long neked horse, not the jumping type

  • Your horse is beautiful and your a great rider!!

  • megauga makes good points - one of the best comments on this video. (the Longacres staff)

  • this will also help him in making a rounder jump, which means he'll be less likely to knock them as he won't flatten out so much. and lastly, bringing him off his forehand and making him use his hindquarters more will build up the muscle on his hindquarters, which will also help him ot jump better (and make him look better too!)

    here endeth the lesson

    gd luck!

  • ur horse is so good! what a brilliant jumper! but if u want a tip - i no ur probably bored of ppl sayin all this stuff but - try to really sit bad in the saddle especially on the approach to the jumpbut keep your leg on to keep that impulsion, and try not to collapse just before take off, keep a contact the whole time, this will make it much easier for ur horse to jump, becuase wen he comes up (to jump) your weight wont be on his withers - making it more difficult.

  • good advice, but she seems to know whats shes doing, if shes jumping at that level. she just wants to be light on his back to encourage him for a nice springy canter.:D

  • ok I'm glad I;m not the only one who saw her leaning forward! You and your horse jump well but if your horse would have refused a jump you would have most likely goine flying off over his neck at that speed. And I agree he is kinda strung out. But heck you got 3rd good job!

  • wow!! you're good!!

  • well done

  • wow i love ur pony its so long and lean. :)

  • did good u just need to sit up a lil more especially after the jumps other wise great job

  • Good ride! The horse soared over every jump, and you were with him every step of the way! I just have to say, collect him more. after jumps and sit up.

  • Wohooo Jenn, great job! Omg, you are such a great rider, and you have improved so much this year, your one great rider!!!

  • Nice job, but I do have a few recommendations. First of all this horse looks very long and lanky, so you need to hold a tighter reign and collect him up after jumps. You also need to hold your hands higher up and a little farther apart. This will help you have more control and to pick him up over the jumps. It also looks as if you are ahead of motion, so try sitting up and keeping your shoulders back; open your chest up. The last thing is to look up a little higher.

  • wow, nice round, but like the others i think he or she is a bit flat. Wel done!

  • you two look great just you really need to shorten your reins and collect your self alittle more

  • yeh, u just need to be a bit more collected and not ride ride so much with ure back. gd height tho and really good leg position!

  • wow nice job [= although i agree, he was a lil flat. he would look beautiful and controlled if he was collected.....but i still think you did good =]

  • Well done- you're lucky he (or she!)'s honest, you're reings are too long and you could do with collecting him up as he's very flat; if you can get him off his forehand the sky's the limit!

  • *blinks a few times* i have to get used to seeing what an english saddle looks like on a horse lol - i've gotten used to harnessed horses and western saddles =] =] your really good at jumping! your horse looks like (he/she?) was having so much fun!

  • Nice round, however in my opinion he needs to be far more engaged and have more impulsion, he is very flat and long and his hindquarters need to be engaged. Not bad though!

  • wow thats a lovely course! your horse doent look engaged tho..otherwise well done!

  • Most were 3'6", some 3' or 3'3"

  • luck ur horse is a saint my horse wouldn't jump from that canter and would stop if i lent forward

  • if the horses back was sore i'd have to ask why you would be making it show??? Otherwise it was a jumper course and you got around it so that's good! I love yoru horse! Very willing and honest!!! Nicely done!

  • that combo line with the ditch was eeew...but other than that it was really nice. next time if that happens and u get left behind on evry jump u should know it is coming. espesially in a combo you should get with him so u dont snatch him in the mouth

  • Absolutely adore that horse, he looks gorgeous. =P You make it look so easy, it's unfair. Lol. has he got t/bred in him?

  • Good, just don't rock around with your uper body, and when you pick up the canter, stop leaning like you you want to fall on his neck.

  • Nice work, but your horse looks worn out!!

very honest though and you make a very nice pair ;)

  • good work:) But I agree with Some1slittleangel, but I don't think i need to repeat it lol. Anyways nice honest horse and good work:)

  • nice horse but i fink u shud try and sit up a bit straiter because u cud easily fall over his head if he slamed his brakes on. n dats tlkin from xperience cos fence posts rnt da comfiest fings in the world to land on haha! hes a gorg horse tho keep up da gd work x

  • Amen!

  • that is a very honest horse!

  • awesome!

    ~Lauren Cybulska

  • i noticed that when you approche your jumps that you are usually not square. If you go to jumos head on in the center your horse will be able to jumo much better. I could also tell that you have been running your horse a lot as he wasn't very powerful in his strides. when you warm up try to do more excersises this warms up power in the horses hindquarters ready to use instead of running him out.

  • roseirocksurworld correctly notes that ShaBang tends to be too much on his forehand. What she cannot know from watching the video is how very difficult it is to get this otherwise great horse better balanced. Fortunately he is so willing and honest that he makes up for his deficiency in collection and balance.
