Interesting material here. He does use the terms Umbra and Ultra interchangeably. Grumman Aerospace has/had a Project Umbra: Classified "dark side" of the moon kind of stuff. And Ultra is typically a clearance of "invisible" used in military intelligence work. So add that up and let your imagination take over. He he.

the book The Catchers of Heaven by Michael Wolf has the front cover with the alien on the front, on the bookshelf is highly recomended. I got it from an interlibrary loan a few months ago
