  • thank you dude you just showed me how to blend in photoshop XD

  • Why does the chest have a cool light source while the leg has a warm light source? That's glaringly inconsistent and it shows in the end product.

  • I have a question, for some reason, when I set the pen pressure for the brush, it stays the same? I couldn't get any opacity on the ends of the brush. Please help! Thank you!

  • @architectus777 Ok thank you :)

  • @architectus777 Just got the pear tutorial highly recommended! And got these brushes with it, excellent. Was brilliant to find this video on how to user them. One question, the opacity values you mention. In another video you said one value for one wacom board and another for a bamboo board. It that the same for each time you quote a opacity value? The Bamboo is usually set higher than what you set yours too?

  • @shinymetalvids I set my Cintiq to 100 percent, but bamboo between 60-80.

  • Unfortunately I dont have system requirements for a premium photo editor, I will take the tips of hot and cool to MS Paint, I'm not sure if you have any tips how I should approach blending in MS paint? Thanks for the video!

  • @lycheesack If you don't have money for Photoshop then I would recommend Gimp, It's free and barely differs from Photoshop, although you may find the interface quite off putting.

  • @ooOSANEOoo I was going to do a tutorial using Gimp, but I hated the way it painted and felt so much, I didn't. I no longer recommend that crap program to people.

  • @architectus777 I know it's a bad program but that's as good as it gets for free.

  • Can you write the keyboard shortcut to how you eyedrop the colors? English is not my first language, so I didn't understand very well certain parts of this tutorial :/

  • good video man! you have a pack of brushes for donwload? or a tutorial beacuse how made brushes of texture, rock, clouds!? answer me please regards

  • Great job and thank you for the help

  • darn, I can't find a solution for this problem i'm having anywhere.

The problem is that some of my photoshop brushes don't show up in the list, i've got 2 colums of brushes downloaded and only 1 page shows up some times.

    Any ideas?

  • Excellent work my friend. I've been watching your videos but I've only just decided to comment as I had problems with my old YT account. You have clearly given adequate instructions on doing this, many thanks.

  • This guy slaps some colors down and im like oh okay i can do that.... then all of a sudden he turns it into a master piece and im like damn where did that come from >.>.....

  • wow, awesome tips! im going to try it

  • Your website seems offline, Can you give to us the download link for your brushes? Its extremely helpful tutorial but i can't make new brushes with your settings :(

  • Dayum nice nipples gul. Loljk. Gonna try this out in CS5. :D

  • Thank you. This way an extremely helpful tutorial.

  • is this possible on paint.net I don't have the money for photoshop I would LOVE to buy it jsut not that money... =(

  • Thank you so much for this video. I'm an aspiring photoshop painter and this video is by far the best one I've found on youtube.

  • love this video! do more please also can I download your brushes?

  • are you using a mouse ??

  • When you pick brush 62 is that one of your brushes? I cant seem to find a brush with the dark black middle and then it fades out...

  • why i need to select a giant brush to get a norml size?example,i need to pick 500px brush to grab a 30px,do u understandme?

  • @DarkBoxeR Not exactly, no.

  • @architectus777

so how i can pick a normal brush to use? in my wacom?

  • @DarkBoxeR I think your paper is too big

  • @DarkBoxeR He uses a bigger brush size to make his maximum pen pressure limit better rather than just using a normal sized brush and keep changing sizes.

  • The leg was good, you made it look very simple. The chest wasn't very good. The clouds were alright.

  • @MrSiiKez i agree with this completely and was thinking the same thing except a bit like this ; "leg = WOW, boob= AWFUL, clouds = mehhhh. it was good before you added all the colours"

  • Awesome tutorial. Thanks for the help! :D

  • This has helped me out sooo much. When ever I tried blending it would come out a mess but after this I figured out about diffusing and opacity so really! Check these videos out I swear they will help ^^ like he says, dont be afriad to experiment

  • Very nice tutorial ... :D, can you give me the brush you use for the clouds and the other for blending ...

  • hey i have a question. i dont have that 'transfer' on my brush preset. i am using photoshop cs4.. How do i get it?

  • @devinasamantha It's probably called opacity then.

  • i learned from you..thanks a lot.........thanks for sharing tips and techniques..god bless you

  • A question, that type of brush used?

  • I just wanna say i just bought ur tutorial because i felt its worth the 7 bucks just for the fact that you are one of few that actually help other people out and show how to paint and blend. your style is just like mine yet my ps paintings never are blended and stuff so they come out looking not how i picture them too

  • ipanitgirls vs idrawgirls girls? Who wins in a fight?....I go with the asian;)

  • @freesoulvw He definitely has more views. I really respect what he does as a concept artist, but I am a really good fighter, Muay Thai, Boxing, grappling, and even some kung fu, although I find the kung fu pretty useless.

  • @architectus777 How can you say you "find kong fu pretty USELESS!!" The greatest fighter of all time used Kong FU! BRUCE LEE :P

  • does this apply to photoshop elements, because thats what i use (got it free with my wacom tablet), and if so how do you make the colour list and pen settings appear in the sidebar?

  • does this apply to photoshop elements, because thats what i use (got it free with my wacom tablet), ad if so how do you make the colour list and pen settings appear in the sidebar?

  • Awesome Tutorials, They're extremely helpful!

  • How do you open your brush set?

And another thing: If I change the bruhes, the settings go away every time!

How can I make one setting for one brush stay?

  • @Sumpfdotterschnalle You put the brush file ABR in Programs/Adobe/CS5(whatever version you have)/presets/brushes

After you make a brush, you have to save your brushes if you want that brush to be there in the future.

  • @architectus777 Thank you so much :)

  • @architectus777 where can we get your brushes?

  • @blahness666 By buying one of my tutorials. My brushes come with any of them as a ABR download.

  • I really liked this video and I was trying your brush set that I got from one of your other tutorials.Though I seem to be having some trouble, like on the 62 brush on the :53 mark. Yours fades in then fades out. On mine it looks completely solid. From what I can tell the settings are the same. Would you know if I'm doing somethin wrong?

  • @bayson Do you have a tablet? If you're using a mouse, you can't use pressure or shape dynamics. If you have a tablet, then just make sure shape dynamics and pressure is seet to pen pressure. Then check your tablets settings to be sure it's working.

  • @architectus777 I use a Wacom Bamboo tablet, CS5 on Windows 7.

I do seem to have it working now. Thank you for the help and letting me know where to check.

Also looking forward to your next tutorial!

  • @bayson Also if you use a touchsmart tablet pc or other n-trig tablets, photoshop does not support pressure sensitivity except with windows 7.

  • Can't wait for the color theory vid!....this one was MAJOR big help

  • the alt key and lock transparency tips are the beST!

  • Yet another amazing video Neil. I missed your videos, I haven't had free time to watch them for so long. I hope this weekend I will finishes after I finishes with studying I will I have a bit of time to watch your lovely tutorials ^.^

  • Best vid yet.

  • can you give us link where we can download your brushes ..plz

  • hi niel, i know this might be a stupid question but, i live in mexico and i was wondering if theres a way to order your stuff or get it over here. thank you.

  • I love the way you made this ,and now Iv learned a new way to add lighting and shadows

  • jean looks a tad...chilly

  • @thecosmicgoose hahahahaha

  • I love your digital painting tutorials. By the way, I've never used the swatches... are you setting up like, a custom swatch palette first? I just never got in the habit of using those, I always just adjust my HSB sliders for color difference. It seems hella convenient, but everytime I try to use it, I can't remember which swatch square I selected beforehand if I'm needing a lighter/darker/cooler/warmer color in relation to what I started with >.<

  • @Falcor119 Yeah, I always use swatches, and make my own for each project if I need certain colors. I also steal colors from color arrangements that are known to work well.
