If u dont like josh then go listen to lil wayne.

  • @TheJoelef Well if you dont like it DONT LISTEN TO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You know what everyone judges people not even knowing them and this is why america is so messed up today so why doesnt everyone get over themselfs and just accept people for who they are.

  • i tell yall one thing life aint about hate n or debate n if ur better than some one because of thair color this song isnt about rednecks or rebels its about good ole country boys like me and deadvineriders real country people with ole fashion veiws on life work and just being a good ole country boy redneck to me means country gangsters i am not a redneck i hate the word if some one calls me a redneck because of my boots i get mad and yes this is a good song on of my favorites

  • im a southern pretty boy but love this shit... it dont matter what u dress like, its how u act... country to the bone bitches... fuck niggers... love god

  • @DUKEsmith2 Man, you need to educate your self. I'm a conservative and love the south, heck i live in Southcarolina. However it is because of people like you why Liberals say the teapartyers and country people are racist. So please guys, dont judge the rest of us on this lost soul.

  • @DUKEsmith2 if u think this song is about hate and disliking black people then u are wrong country people dont hate anyone that is of different color but they do hate people that take advantage of the system i used to be young and imature and think that to be country i had to hate people that werent white but that is wrong to be country is to be accepting and only judge a man by his hand shake and his work ethic

  • @DUKEsmith2 i ... love you.

  • Yes this is totally true. The trick is to convert this or any youtube video to an mp3 at mp3thatvid..net

  • "Country folk are better than everyone else" We get it. It's been done to fucking death. It's an easy song to write and people eat it up like Buck Doubles. You're a fucking hack.

  • 'redneak' is misspelled. country is not.

  • @ksonfm, lmao

  • @ksonfm lol

  • @190zip ok i have no idia what misspelled is so could u explane that to me

  • @190zip: Rednecks are lets see, more expressive. Country folks don't do all the things Rednecks do, but we following the same basic guide lines, and the Redneck 10 Commandments.

  • @190zip the diff is that rednecks are dumbass's that party and have a good time,<3 and country people just are like farmers and stuff

  • @190zip there really isnt much difference besides that country live a lil different but not a lot its hard to tell the difference

  • @babydisey false. that aint it

  • @BuddyLover815 well than what is it

  • @190zip nothing i'm redneck and country atleast we still the same city people change and screw shit up

  • He means he wishes Regan was back because of the dumbass people we have in office Regan is the best thing that's ever happend to this country he actually accomplished something

  • I like this dude probably one of the best country singers ever and absolutely the best one for the past five years. You can tell he sings from the heart. I'd put money that he is a good man. Not like that Aldean poser.

  • HE IS AMAZING!!!!!!! HE IS SOOOOOOO ADORABLE

  • i bought the album and have to admit one of the best country cd's i've ever bought!!!!!! just hope he doesn't go all backstreet boys like the way country has been going lately!!!!

  • "We won't take a dime if we ain't earned it"

    Didn't Bush give $168,000,000,000 in 2008?

  • It's pretty funny my grandfather owns land down south and when we go down there there is no fat people or violence EVER then I go back to Buffalo and there's a gang walking down one street and 20 fat families in a Burger King it's pretty sad.

  • i like this song A LOT! it describes my family. we are farmers so when i listen to this song, i see myself and my whole family. it makes me cry in a good way, sometimes, to think that this is the life that i want to have. i love it!

  • of course this is another instant classic written by the great david lee murphy

  • what does he mean he wants to see the country run like it outa be, like it used to be?

  • @quader456495 I like this song, but I have to admit I was just thinking the exact same thing.

  • @quader456495 at first i was thinking the same thing but now i get it. he means he wants the country to run in peace, not war. that's how it mostly used to be and thats how it outta be run. but honestly, i was thinking the same thing before.

  • @quader456495 Didn't he sing "like it ought to be" don't worry he's not bashing our wonderful el presidente.

  • I love this song

  • Josh Thompson representing WI. We smoke chew and fry everything

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!! I am going to buy his CD. I think he is the most refreshing thing to hit the country scene in a LONG TIME!!!! I had never heard of him before. I have been listening to aol mucic station "New Country" and they play him a good bit and I am SOOOOOOOOOO glad they did.......LOVE HIM, I hope he goes far in the business.

  • sounds amazing. great song.

  • Is he in drop "D" ?

  • @jeremyew that's what i was wonderin, prolly, cause i kno the 2 main chords are just D and G, and the G looks like a weird shape.

  • @jeremyew Yep, he's in drop D. You can try it regular tuning and use a G barre chord - sounds OK.

  • @jeremyew yes it is in drop D

  • I think that this song really captures the essence of country.I'm country all the way and I live every part of this song. Great song.

  • Best song ever

  • Galexion is right there is starting to get to much pop now a days some is good but sone songs aren't

  • Ok well he may not look like a country boy, but now days most don't. I mean, I'm country to the bone, but I sure don't dress like it. The point is, being a good ol boy damn sure dosent mean you have to dress the part, it comes from the heart. It comes from your attitude, the way you live, and the way you trust in the good lord. It's how you were raised, how you treat your loved ones and how you raise your kids. Hell, even the way you drink your beer!

  • @DeadvineRiders haha heck ya man but ill tell ya one thin im sick of. the fags dressin and actin all cowboy i cant stand it when they do that crap be who ya are dont be somethin ya aint!!!!

  • @HUlkMAn000 If you don't like people being something they're not, then why are you trying to act educated when you're obviously not? You're what's wrong with America right now.

  • @DeadvineRiders you're exactly right i'm a good ol' boy but i wear skate shoes and baggy fox racing jeans lol

  • @DeadvineRiders That's true. Most of the kickers I went to school with listened to metallica

  • @DeadvineRiders damn straight

  • @DeadvineRiders truest of words ever spoken...

  • We take federal aid and tell you we earned it

Then we scream 'bout the homos and the welfare queens

If it's our ig'nance and our bigotry you're concerned with

You can jump in the stream

We're about Red Man, fuckin' sheep an' bashin' queers

    Way out here

  • @oremia so fucking true!

  • @oremia I checked out your profile it looks like you wish were a sheep way out here

  • This song is everything that is wrong with America right now.

  • @ExplodingChef please elaborate, cause things are still pretty good out here in the country, so i'd say we are doing things right and its the way its been done for years

  • Good song ... There needs to be a video for this on youtube. Cuz all of them are live

  • ive noticed the country these days has too much pop in it. it aint like it use to be

  • he is the greatest artist ever. reallly i love every single one of his songs but this one is my favorite.

  • NTO- mr president grasshopper and lil John(head of maintenance and pimples) turkey creek mafia. Way out here, fuck Jews and the Negros. Red seal! Whoo buddy! Hell yeah feller.

  • i heard this song the first time today. I thought what a great song. so here i am looking it up, and I get this tool.. the guy is far from country. he looks like he could be on a sail boat, with bleach blonde hair, with a mansion, and a girl with a fake tan. come on now folks, this guy wouldn't last a minute with us boys in Wisconsin.. Love Eric Church and Justin Moore for new country. Then all about pure outlaw country. Jason Boland/Waylon/Willie/and of course all three hanks.

  • Great song we man, keep it up!

  • he seems to be finding what John Mellencamp found in the 80`s. Silly little songs about simple times and simple life. Tapping into working class values can be tricky. Mellancamp pulled it off because his bravado and nervous energy overcame and authenticity issues. Thompson could pull it off too.

  • Wow this guy is awesome!!...it is so nice to have Josh, Jamey johnson and easton corbin keepin true country alive as newcomers in a world gone to crap having to hear taylor swift and carrie underwood.

  • @zoolander8051 i couldnt agree more with you brother. taylor swift is not an ounce of country. i hate that there starting to consider pop music apart of the true country music. annoying.

  • It's RARE I hear any new stuff from Country radio I care for. But this may be the new "Country boy can survive". Kudos Mr. Thompson. Excellent!

  • he forgot johnny walker lol great song

  • I guess "Marion Morrison" doesn't flow off the tongue quite nicely enough.

  • I don't understand the lyrics, John Deere is a subsidized Corporation--much tax paying money floats it. Majority of Country folk and small city Americana voted for Socialist Policy McCain.

The roads one drives on is public funds, any manufactured trucks-vehicles are heavily subsidized by tax monies, unless you made it yourself. Take a look at the Farmers and you see heavy subsidiese--stealing from tax monies, like inner city welfarites. Rural America is Socialist and this song is funny.

  • Yes you are correct. But lets try not subsidizing farming...oh wait you would not be able to afford food. Bad experiment. There are many rural dirt roads that were not created by any government entity. "Stealing tax money" that is a joke. Who's money is it in the first place? Rural Americans are some most heavily taxed (proportionate to income) people in this country. I hope you have some perspective and understand the opposing sides of the correct but slanted comments you make.

  • @rkoeneke You misunderstand the agriculture subsidies in the U.S. What they do, and have long done, is protect the income of the growers.

  • i hope you show up to his house unwelcome

  • Wtf? hahahah. ok?

  • really man? gtfo of here nobody cares.

  • Representin the country boys from Cedarburg, Wisconsin! keep it up Josh

  • Gerry House on 98 WSIX FM here in Nashville gave your song a play for it's listeners (March 17, 2010) and asked that they call in to give their opinion. I made it on the air and gave you a BIG thumbs up!!

  • dang i love it sounds like us out here in coal city,wv!

  • Again man, awesome stuff

  • I heard Josh for the very first time at the Opry this past Friday night and I loved it!! Much luck on his success!!

  • Possibly true that this guy's the best thing I've heard on NPR in a while. Looks like i'm not alone either. Might there be a new emerging center of America here? So what do you call us NPR loyal country music fans anyway?

  • @maenic3

I heard it on NPR too. I don't usually like country, but I like this. Just ordered last night online. Comes with an autographed booklet.

  • whoa!

  • A surly unapologetic declaration of the country lifestyle and ideology. Quite refreshing if anyone asks me. I enjoy this song although I do feel it needs another verse because the song left me wanting to hear from the country life narrative and manifesto.

  • Oh, were you listening to NPR too?

  • You got me. I can't deny that. I took the time to listen to the album and they are right it was made in the old fashion way.

  • Yes...great to hear an artist as country as Thompson being featured in an NPR interview. And a great review, too. -Nick

  • @ksonfm That's how I found him, hahaha!

  • @zochirho you mean the one where we laugh at people that use words like narrative and manifesto and other words they learned from N.P.R.

  • nice song dude

  • I'm travelling over from southern uk on March 11th and seeing the guys in Fla on the 15th I think.

    Love it already

  • Got the CD pre-ordered, he is awesome! Can't believe he's on tour with Eric Church.. the two of them along with Brantley Gilbert are country's future.

  • ill be seeing both of them March 27th here in Boulder CO

  • I'd agree but you forgot jamey johnson

  • awesome song man. i wish it was on itunes.

  • Josh Thompson is the man makes me proud to be from wisconsin.

  • you goin to his release party at poto?

  • the future of country, this song is unbelievable

  • man they have the best BBQ ever!!!!!!!

  • Whatever the case was - he can sing this song now. He will make millions if he already hasn't

  • ok first of all i am one of his very good friends my name is erin and i am also from cedarburg, so f off u are toally wrong about him, he is an amazing guy, artist and a caring person would give u the shirt off his back. Get your facts straight and ur just jealous because ur loser ass is still around the area probably working at a dump because u couldnt do ne thing with your life grow up and get over yourself.

  • so what makes this guy a looser? is it his song one the top charts being played around the country, or his good looks, or that he's on tv, large fan base? i thought those things made you cool. and i don't think anybody has ever heard of you, but i'll give u the benefit of the doubt, why are u so cool? are u a rock star? racey car driver? celebrity?

  • best damn song

  • i love this song he is so hott when is the cd coming out

  • I love songs like this this guy is a bad ass.

  • Comment removed
