can someone please help me i followed this video i play terran and i am actually starting to beat very hard AI's something i could never do b4 but my APM is still low does this help if i improve my APM meaning does APM and mechanics kinda relate? i mean if your mechanics are ok/good you should have higher APM cause you are doing more stuff but that is not my case for some reason. help.

@Mooseguy15 APM is half mechanics and half knowing what to do. It doesn't matter if you have 3000 apm if you don't know you have to build a barracks at 13 food, because maybe you won't react to build one until you're at 200 minerals, and then it's exactly like you only have 20 apm. Don't learn build orders down to a tee, but have a general idea of what you're going to do a game i.e. how many gas geysers you'll need and when.

Im finding myself feeling akward using this type of mechanics. As a protoss player you have to look at where you are warping units in as well as where your buildings are to chronoboost. At least at 3+ bases, I can CB everything all the time(or so it feels) which means I hop back to base every 30 or so seconds anyhow. CBing on the minimap is also pretty weird most of the time unless you are very good at remembering where you put each building in your base

i personally dont see the problem with a que of say 2 probs/scv/drone in a que early game if you are gonna build one next anyways given you have the apropriate buildings underway, it gives you a bit of leaway to have better scouting micro especially if your trying to harras SCV's while building or trying to keep you scout hidden etc. later on when its more important i will build on a unit by unit basis :)

I play much much better when i've gone for an hour long run earlier in the day. I think its a pretty well accepted principle that exercise will help your gaming considerably. I remember getting stuck numerous times in Dragon Age Origins, go for a run, come back and get un-stuck without hardly trying.

@ everyone who hasn't learnt all the hotkeys yet, you can set the hotkeys to 'grid', which makes hotkey use so much easier. It makes your hotkeys like:

QWERT

ASDFG

ZXCVB

for the buttons, you can see on the lower right side. So every button equals to the button on the keyboard, very good if you play random, cause workers are always Q, new Mains are always Q. Vespin Geysir things arew always W, and so on...

@DarkSpartan343 It's also the hotkey for a Probe, which, in both Terran and Protoss, the hotkey for a worker is the same as the hotkey for a supply-increasing structure. It just makes going like - worker worker worker worker supply, that much easier :)
