  • What is it, in my mind that makes me want to find what lies, in between the hidden, and the seen What sets my brain aflame Does it have a place or name Coud it be, could it be....ME What is, the source of all Can man, hear it's call When did it, all begin When is it, all to end Is there a thought behind Is there a mastermind Could it be, could it be....ME
  • If anyone is interested in learning how to play this, I'm pretty close to finishing a handwritten notation on how the song goes. I haven't worked out the tremolo guitar or all of the bass part, but I got most of the song finished.

  • woulda been groovy if they stayed like this when they added a keyboard

  • thanks for the information-All i know is Dallas Taylor, their drummer, later worked for CS and N!

  • Nice bit of music :)

  • Clear light were excellent!Ive got their only album

  • @Viznel137 its rare, rarer on a 4 track tape this is on the bud mathis sunset strip cd with an early version of black roses ,they obtained their name from arthur lee who said if you take LSD everyday you will achieve clear light also on electra records

  • @spacepatrolman It wasn't from Arthur - it was either from guitarist Bob Seal who picked it up from the Tibetan Book of the Dead, or from Jim Morrison, via Paul Rothchild. officialclearlight. com

  • @ClearLight1967 the grateful dead got their name from the tibetan book of the dead [another double drum group] it was arthur he went a little offf his rocker from LSD

  • @spacepatrolman I can only tell you what I heard from the band members from Clear Light - there was also a "brand" of LSD named after the band. I even heard rumours of an LSD factory in the basement of the Clear Light house! But hey, we all went a little crazy from LSD - good crazy though :)

  • @ClearLight1967 skip spence took to much LSD and tried to kill the drummer stephenson from moby grape with a firemans axe and was in and out of a mental ward the rest of his life

  • @spacepatrolman Yeah, you could also cite Syd Barratt as a casualty, but these guys are the exception rather than the rule. I have to confess to taking huge amounts of the stuff way back when, and it didn't affect me in a negative way. But, if you are already a little unhinged then it is best to avoid all drugs - especially the ones the doctors prescribe. Eat flowers and kiss babies!

  • @Viznel137 they used to perform live at the electric circus in new york

  • far-out
