Parker Jonathan - a Native American

  • Miss Big Jim. Ernie and Johnny are the two best tenors ever. Ernie's group sang at my church on Sunday and he still hads it.

  • This was probably when Jerry had only been with them for a few months. Today...he would have torn it up.

  • Johnny Parrack owns this song

  • hey...i just seen some of my relatives in this...haha...around 1:00...kewl....

  • @piano211 - Absolutely not. That's the fakest, crapiest, mist not I've ever heard. God bless his heart.

  • Everybody misses "Big" Jim.

  • I miss Big Jim

  • The best quartet in Southern Gospel singing a great ol song

  • No one will do this song better than the Kingsmen.

  • He was a long time lead singer of the Kingsmen. A good one at that!

  • i dont know alot about the kingsmen, who is Big Jim?

  • he sung in hs with elvis, rebels qrt, oak ridge boys, as well as the kingsman. not only a great lead singer but one of the best spokesman ever.

  • Eric Phillips of Mark Trammel Trio does alot better job.

  • Don't know who this tenor is, but Johnny Parrack is the best on this!!!

  • The tenor is Jerry Martin, currently with the Dove Brothers. Johnny is excellent on this song, but check out Mark Trammel Trios version here on you tube.

  • the one in yellow is my cuz i love you bryan! u guys r great

  • the tenor hits a G5 at 3.10! and an E5 at the end.

  • This brings back some really good memories. They are my Dad's favorite group and ya can't beat that guartet (four part harmony) I just love it!!

  • Everyone check out the Singing News. Big Jims widow is broke and needs our prayers.

  • Saw your comment about Jim's wife being broke. Is anyone trying to help her? Do you know I might be able to help her? Thx

  • Hey man hope this is not too late. They have had benefit concerts and other things to try to help raise money for her. You can look it up on line they were encouraging people to send donations directly to her.

  • Hey. Thanks for getting back to me. Can you better direct me on where i can try to help Jim's wife? Thanks again

  • Big Jim makes a return to the Kingsmen. This song is a classic. Jerry Martin is one solid tenor! And YES I miss PARKER JONATHON!!!

  • Thank you I for got the most important Person

  • Rest in peace, Big Jim...we'll miss you!

  • I love this video. It was nice to have Hamill as a special guest with the Kingsmen that year.

  • Please anyone that like's this song be type in "Glory Road" By The Trio (FULL) to hear it sung by Anthony Burger, Kirk Talley and Ivan Parker. They really do a good job.

  • The Kingsmen does this song good. But the tenor I really don't know where he is coming from. The Trio with Kirk Talley, Anthony Burger and Ivan Parker really does this song justice.

  • The tenor is Jerry Martin, who currently sings with the Dove Brothers. Listen to him sing this song on the CD by the Kingsmen called Not Quite but Just as Big Live. He is one of the best tenors...EVER !!

  • This was a great video to watch. The piano player looked alittle like a young Anthony Burger that started with the Kingsmen at 16. Thanks for posting. Let us hear and see more.

  • The pianist is none other than the very talented Andrew Ishee. After leaving the Kingsmen, he went to Palmetto State Quartet.

  • no one does this song like the Kingsmen!

  • One of the best southern gospel songs ever done. Gives me chill bumps.
