@thehanz123 Don't really use this anymore but I think in piano roll near the tool menu there is the quantize menu to quantize at 1/4 1/8 1/16 and so on... 1/16 is a good start and see what you think and if anything get better with your timing lol

Much respect dude! Question is there a way you can time stretch, in edison or in the sampler, and then drag what you've stretched to. FPC? I've tryed but when i drag and drop the sample over to the fpc, its reverts back to its original form.

@SoulLurePRO you can select your sample and drag it to a sampler channel and stretch it in the drop down menu when you click it....then click the sample tab ..and you can play with the time stretching

when i get the mpd 24 as soon as i plug it in and select the fpc on fruity loops and drag a sample into a pad will it play on a pad on the mpd or is there settings i have to do first like when i plug it in does it just work automatically? thanks

@Daryl93TillInfinitY - well no, you have to enable it with your midi settings under the options tab just like you would any midi controller. my guess is that you havent changed your buffer length under audio settings, which isnt related to the mpd in any way but if you get crackling sound youll need to change that as well. although the buffer length can cause a trigger delay if its not in the sweet spot. their are settings as well withing the mpd. i think youll want to use the mpc2500 preset

@Daryl93TillInfinitY - didnt even know a 26 was out. havent read the specs but looks like the 24. u might consider picking up the 24 or maybe 26 used from cl since you can get both types for the same price(mpd+keys).like i said it all just depends on what type of beats u want to make for your equipment and software processes.

@Daryl93TillInfinitY - since it maps the pads in that order. personally i dont use the fpc, too slow. alternatively you can trigger pads under slicex and even edison to get ur chops right before sending to slicex. for slicex though you will want to make your own preset on the mpd and just set them in order. kind of a pain but you can save it so you only have to do it once. i would reserve the fpc for loading samples from different sources. there are plenty of vids and info out there

@Daryl93TillInfinitY - another train of thought is a keyboard controller. it sounds like you dont have one and if you dont it is more versatile than an mps since its easier to use for vst's as well and can trigger samples just like an mpd would without all the key mapping. i have both and often dont even bother with the mpd. if your only going to use samples id probably just go with the mpd but thats all on you

that mpd only do 16 velocity level change and not 16 tune level change. as for the

you can use battery instead of the fpc. battery is better but the preset notes need to be changed to match the pads. if your using reason you might just want to use the nn sampler within reason

You can use all the controls, but you have to do your research and assign them in fl if you right click on a volume control in fl and link to controller then you move the bar on your mpd it will sink up with it and you have to save that as the default to open everytime in fl...but i would suggest you getting the mpd32...its a little more but it is much nicer and has more of an mpc feel with note repeat and so on

i know you can drop the chop in the step sequencer, adjust the pitch there, then load it up in the fpc. thats a hassle though, there must be a quicker way to do it. also is there any way to load up the chop into the fpc directly from edison or fruity slicer, or is drag and drop the only way?

Well if you click the channel for the fpc there is another box that pops up and you can set what channel of the mixer you want the fpc to be in and you can beef up the kick in there...I suggest you look up a guy called NFX...he has lots of tutorials and one of them is how to make your kicks stronger....

Not really man..Whatever works for you..The only thing the mpd is doing for you is recording what you hit, you can leave it unquantized to give a more realistic feel or you can mess with it, doesnt really matter man its all your preference

Umm...I'm not really sure man, I've never used ableton. I know the FPC on fruity loops and Dr Rex on Reason, but I will try to find out for you...
