Robbie van Leeuwen was a pretty good guitar player and lyricist (esp. considering English is his 2nd language), but Mariska Veres was no doubt the star attraction. Her heavily-accented voice and dark, sultry looks are no doubt due to her half-German, half-Hungarian roots, and makes for great effect! I had one of their albums when I lived in Europe - besides Venus, California Here I Come {not the song you think} and Poor Boy were two very good back-to-back originals on this album.
