Well im a skier and I learned the frontside first, than swith-frontside ( like you roll back side and you jump on the rail and do a frontside), than i did a soulgrind and all kind of soulgrind variation...... i think ur good to start !

soul grind is the simpliest move learn soul grind then look up amall trick tips and they got a bunch of moves they can show you but get the soul grind down first thats the basics

with the move where the guy is sliding cross-feet on the floor, is there anything specific i should know about it? im gonna try it out but i wanna know if concrete (or a tennis court) wouldn't work. or if you need kickass skates to do it.

its called a cess slide

if you wanna try it make sure ur wheels don't touch the ground when u do it or you'll kill urself

its probably easiest on wood or some smooth, waxed concrete

well dude, a good grind to start with is frontside, and backside, which is simply grinding on ur h-blocks, then once u get that, start learning a royal. Thats how i started out.

easiest is mizsou, but just start learning backside farf because its a safe trick almost impossible to hurt yourself and gets u used to balancing. Plus torques r fun tricks.
