Beautiful playing. This isn't no. 6 of the Hersant 8 pieces as written. It's a bit of no. 3 with some elaboration, then all of no. 6, then the end of no. 3 with more elaboration.
It is not arrogant, it was exactly what was asking the composer Philippe Hersant. It is a Dialog between the bassoon and the orchestra. The dramaturgy of interpretation is wanted by the composer
tears running down my face and shivers up my back. Beautiful. Is there a CD recording of this I can buy? Thank you from the bottom of my hear for such joy!
by the way if you're in Paris on march 4 and 5 Pascal Gallois will be performing with ex Arditti quartet cello star Rohan de Saram in an amazing place...check on pascalgallois-newsdotcom

This is a lovely performance!
I've been trying to find a recording of another piece performed by Pascal Gallois - Voiles, by Simon Bainbridge.
Haven't been able to find it anywhere except as a brief mention.

I went to see him perform Sequenza XII in Birmingham. It was excellent and I was really impressed of how he could circle breath
