  • A hard game doesn't "suck". Nice try though.

  • To be fair, you picked the hardest character to play. Also, you went to the second town too quickly. And the defend-attack combo isn't nearly effective enough. You should have just been attacking.

  • i love how everyone goes "omg u suck y u no play according to my rules?!". look at the fucking game. right out the start there are enemies thatvhalve your damn life afyer one attack. not even etrian Odyssey does that. and only one character here. and i hear reports of exp being halved with a companion. easy to see why he thinks it sucks

  • This game is meant to be complicated. Take note that this game is an early Enix design, meaning it WILL be a hard one, and you should be grinding A LOT. If you do it RIGHT, you'll be able to beat the game. My grandmother can beat it, what's your excuse?

  • The game's hard yeah, but holy shit, it's not this hard. Pro tip: buy potions lol. it should have been the first thing you thought of honestly.

  • A lot of kind of stupid comments on this video. If you play it now, it is a grind fest. I love the game...but its rare not to die 2-3 times before reaching level 5...it just is. What I did...you went down to the first town and didnt stay by the castle. I stay by the castle...until level 3-4 then go down there. Staying around the castle...cheap inn (4G) and usually just 1 hermit crab. In 15 minutes...you make them all your bitch. :) SO go easy on Fusion.not a matter of sucking...its different

  • dude this game is so easy... i beat this when i was 8 haha XD you really do fuckin suck bro

  • love this video. But yeah this game is hard. I never finish it. I cant get pass the Robot boss near the end of dah game because I only do 1 damage lol

  • If you're planning on finishing the game just for the ending, don't. |It's really not worth it

  • Don't you know that getting first lvls is really easy? You should at least level up to lvl 3 before you go to the 1st town... You can't play RPGs

  • Comment removed

  • Damn those kids that play games and whine like the little bitches that they are how the game sucks because they aren't overpowered at the beginning.

  • Man, reading some of these comments will have you thinking that repeatedly alternating between defend and attack as soon as you step out of the starting town is the pinnacle of strategy.

  • I would just like to start by saying your so bad at the game you can't even beat the level 1 monsters? Listen dude its common knowledge to kill the thing hitting you 5 before the guy hitting you 1. that fight woulda been way different if you did it that way.

  • @DarmisReviews Exactly lmao

  • Fusionx916 " I apologize about the scrolling horizontal bars"

Get a emulator and that wont happen.

I think you need to change the title to Look how bad I suck at 7th saga because really you do suck at this game.

  • @dertmantater Emulator? Nah thats for scrubs. I'm real collector. I only play my games on consoles. And I don't suck at this game, it really does suck.

  • @Fusionx916 Emulators are for scrubs? Your a real collector? I doubt that. I use emulators and I own over 400 snes/sfc games. Not only am I a collector but I am also a snes programmer. Would you like me to mod the game so you can beat it without dieing every time you leave the towns inn? How about I make a mod for you to have 999 speed so you will be able to run away from all of those difficult battles with the wyvern.

  • @Fusionx916 I'm with you on emulators being for scrubs. Never touched one in my life. Though I have to disagree on the game being bad. Hard as hell sure but definitely not bad.

  • @Fusionx916 if you collect games and you think this sucks you need to give up collecting.

  • id say look at how much dmg you give and recieve, with the defend/attack method sometimes you take less dmg,and bring down more hurt, by just flat out attackin you were only getting hit by 3 there at the end instead of 5 so that level helped a lot, and i think if you would have stood your ground you would have got it, slow down and think. the speed will come later young grasshoppah

  • Play lux the robot dude and you wont feel as squishy.

  • Kamil is the worst character in the game.

  • I hate how some of you are lying about the difficulty going down later in the game. It gets harder and harder. imo, this game is about bragging rights to your friends. You can have on the best equipment and still get fuck up like this. This is how the game works, Attack, Attack, Attack, inn, Attack, Attack, Attack, Inn, Attack, Attack, died, reset, Attack, Attack, inn. Tell me one game in the entire world that has almost every monster casting resurrection or healing themeselves?

  • ok realy thiss game is easy first you get out of starting town hit lvl 3 befor next town then i like to get lvl 10 befor the castle then in the cave till lvl 15 then next town grab a good champion and get lvl 20 then just face roll till the game is over never flee fight do them and once you hit luze get lvl 45 then you whont have to lvl ever agian, well grind to lvl that is you will just have to play as you g oand lvl as they come by.

  • @DCKING666

Sure. Saying this is SO EASY. But let's do the facts, huh? you forget to tell be people that you have to level whore and battle whore. When you get a partner, EXP is HALVED. Not to mention, you get a random choice on where to go after Patrof is freed.

  • This is one of the best games (not only RPG's, but GAMES) ever for SNES.

This tiny difficulty in the beginning goes away when you reach level 3 or 4. And it doesn't take more than 5 minutes to get to level 4. So...

Also, this is only in the begining. I cleared the game the first time I played it. It is totally possible. It is a hard game, but it is possible.

Also, look how many do not aprove your video.

Face it: it is just that you who didn't get the hang of it.

Keep trying, you'll get there. :)

  • Maybe if you weren't a fucking idiot and didn't defend (defend is absolutely pointless in this game) you might be able to get somewhere. Dumbass.

  • @Chucknorrisaurrus totally not true defend does works

  • @RAHB18 incorrect. Defend is total ass and is only worth using if you have more than one character in your party. What he did was defend, which is basically throwing away 2 HP every other turn. He'd be better off just throwing attacks and praying.

  • @Chucknorrisaurrus i agree with you i didn't mention that defend is only useful at later stages in the game :)

  • @Chucknorrisaurrus

    hey little dipshit

defend actually boosts your attack in this game, such that if you defend, your next attack will do more damage that following turn.

  • @foursquarefour Well do you really think a couple of points of damage are going to do anything when you only have 15 HP to spare?

  • @Chucknorrisaurrus

Considering how much hp the enemy has, yes.

but if you want to be a drama queen about it, feel free.

  • Hey hey... don't be so mean to this guy / girl.

I understand Fusionx916 point of view. I thought the same thing at first time I've played.

"It sucks... how it could be so Hard?"

Then 8 years passed and now i think "This game was pretty good after all". The difficulty and the music of this game are the best attribute of 7th Saga.

  • I would hardly consider the game hard especally once you get the star and water runes aka defence buff and free healing.

The game over all was fun as hell and as far as gameplay went it was 9/10.

Some battles are tougher then others, but the more runes you get the easier the game gets. Once you get 6 runes grind out some levels for when you lose the runes Simple as that.

  • Haha! I actually loved this game! It took a lot of work, because you can't just run out and battle, take your time!

  • I love how more than half the people commenting on this video saying 'ITS NOT HARD U SUXX LOLZ' probably haven't even played it before. It IS a hard game, regardless of player ability.

  • Welcome to 7th Saga! If you got your ass kicked, you're doing something wrong.

Welcome to a hard fucking game. Whiners need not apply.

  • i never understood why people ever use defend commands in rpgs, what good are they? i mean, aren't they only good when ur character has the speed to execute 2 commands in one turn?

  • @hitokirimasamun It was a strategic choice in 7th Saga actually by reducing an enemy's attack for the round you defended but buffing your following attack.

  • I'm pretty sure in this game as with many of these 'Escape or Run' calculates agility or a speed oriented score vs . the opponent. In your case your character was likely far too slow to out run the Wyvren hence why you could not escape.

  • You think this game is hard? Try playing any of the Wizardry games, those games practically cheat.

  • I don't see anything hard about this game lol...And i don't think it sucks actually.

Like in every game, first lvl up near to closest town/city/caste or whatever it is,just a few lvls, then you should go anywhere else....this way i killed Remus and other bosses without a smallest problem, except "apprentice" batlles of course :D...try this out too and tell me if it works for ya ;)

  • Well, I think your strategy needed work, BUT so did this game. Fighting the other characters in town, for example, was way too hard. On the higher levels they could kill you in 1 or 2 hits (depending on your character), and there was no way to level up to help, because they leveled up with you!

  • lol you picked the worst charecter in the whole game of course your gona suck in the beggining wow this video actually made me lol friken hilarious thank you ^^

  • It would have been too late if you had waited longer.

  • I bet by your standard, Paladin's Quest sucks and Final Fantasy Mystic Quest is your favorite RPG of all time.

  • @AceAileron see my video on paladins quest

  • @Fusionx916 Well, you do have a good point there. Actually, there were a lot of aspects of Paladin's Quest that were creepy: Lokiarn, Doth, Zaygos, Kaymat, as you said, the spell "Spirit", the spirit town of Karon, Zaygos butchering the town of Ratsurk...

  • @AceAileron Word. There was also a fair amount of engrish in the game which I guess was sort of common in that time period.

  • @AceAileron Word. There was also a fair amount of engrish in the game which I guess was sort of common in that time period.

  • @Fusionx916 I beat Paladin's Quest it's a great game

  • @RemnantsLastFlame I agree. It's one of those under the radar goodies from the snes era. I'd recommended it to anyone who loves 16 bit rpgs.

  • Wyvern does 4-5 damage a shot. Hermit only does 1-2. Derp let me focus on the one doing negligible damage first.

  • Oh god... I can't stop laughing.

  • What are you doing at Rablesk at level 1 anyway? This isn't WoW.

  • The first few battles are pretty rough. What you should do is search the top right corner of the town of Lemele where you start for an Opal, sell that for 100 Gold and load up on some Potn 1's to start you off. You'll be on LV2 soon enough and the battles will be alot easier from that point.

  • I'm not agree with you. Definitely.

  • I just like reading all these comments cause you guy, are pretty bad at this game. You NEVER fight more than one hermit until like level 3 or 4. lol

  • If you consider this the worst rpg, you haven't played many rpgs. The battle animations look godly, especially for it's time.

  • So you quit this game barely 10 minutes into it?

Wow, there's sucking at video games, then there's you.

  • This game did not suck at all. Apperantly not enough for you as well, making a movie out of it ;)

  • LoL, this game is not hard all the way through. I know it's hard the first time you encounter enemies. In the very beginning, stay close to (the first) town gaining a few levels first and go to the inn often. Also you should level up 1 or 2 levels outside of each town. I actually find the game easy and I always walk into a town with more money than I need when it's time to buy equipment. Oh and you got "raped" because you defended too many times. Defend, Attack, Defend, Attack.

  • Lol. STOP DEFENDING N00B! So useless in this game.

  • why you defend??? :S only must be attack ;) and heal when is necesary ;)

  • Wow, you have no business thinking you can review games, even it is for fun. You mostly seem to not like the game because you suck at it. This was one of the most challenging rpgs on the super nintendo, hands down, you also happen to think it was the worst rpg for the super nintendo, funny how that works huh? Now lets look at why you think it's bad besides difficulty, OH wait, that's all you had going in your review. I guess any game that's stupidly easy would be great in your eyes. :p

  • You suck at this game. You must be bad at RPG's. I was watching this video, and all I could think about is how bad you are at this game.

1st time fighting the Wyvern: you let him kill you, all you would have needed to do was heal yourself once and you would of got him. 3rd battle, Hermit and Wyvern: Why did you try to kill the hermit first?!?! Hermit does 1-2 damage to you kill the fuckin god damn Wyvern first you dumb bitch!

Take this video down because it just makes you look like a fool.

  • who the hell defends in a RPG?

  • @SmashFury

In this game, defending before attacking will increase the power of the attack by 50% (before defense).

  • @Nitr0don

i know i beat this level grinding hell game but personally i find it easier just to heal than to defend (though i didnt use the knight when i played through)

  • @SmashFurywhen you defend your ATT power doubles.

  • @vincent1122334455 It still doesn't make sense mathematically...You still attack the same..the only difference is you might take less dmg..but at that point, if you suck, it really wouldn't matter, lol

  • I just downloaded it on my Droid and have been playing it for the past 2 weeks with Esuna. Awesome! It is bringing back so many memories, plus the quick save feature is pimp for getting the right stats on leveling up. I never played Elnard so apparently I always only played the hard version. :)

  • I loved the diffuculty of this game. I got to level 80 and beat it with Kamil, Olvan, Wilme, Lux, and Lejes when I had it for SNES. It was hardest with Kamil because it was my first time through and I did not understand exactly how the level up system worked. My second time through was with Lejes, and tediously reset the game over and over to get each level up the way I wanted it. Made the game a bit easier.

  • the lying jerk at electronics boutique told me the endings were different if you played with different characters. I found it best to play with the alien and the robot,, that way you always had tons of money for potions and battle items since you never needed to buy weapons or armor (except till 2/3 towards the end for the robot).

the tension you feel when youre low on HP, running away, and you can see the enemy dots closing in on you,,aahhhhh

  • is not the worst, is the hardest but i love this game

  • Also, you picked one of the worst characters in the game to play through with, so it's no wonder you're getting your butt whooped.

  • This game isn't as hard as many people say, it's just that the secrets to beating it generally aren't things you're going to know without a lot of research. For example, did you know that every time you recruit a partner, their starting stats are based on their Elnard boosts and NOT their gimped American version growths?

  • i think you just suck at the game then

  • @danish211 The player doesn't suck; the game is just that hard.

You're forced to spend tons of time grinding for levels very often (and due to a glitch, you get less experience points than you're supposed to making grinding especially tedious), and if you haven't leveled enough before you pass the point-of-no-return section the enemies will be too hard to kill and the game becomes unbeatable.

This game is known for being brutally tough. That doesn't mean it sucks though.

  • I bet the game easily it doesn't suck at all.

  • i think you must suck at the game , also if you suck at the game the game does not suck you do

  • Man, Thats Goddam Hilarious. Very cool game in its own right, but far too hard.

  • This game was brutal on the SNES but playing it on an emulator lets you speed up the game and level really fast. You just bind a key or a button on your gamepad to it and hold it down while leveling and it makes the game move quick. You can gain about ten levels in under ten minutes just sticking around the starting area.

As far as grinding goes, I always liked that it required a lot of effort to beat the last boss. Beats Final Fantasy where the last boss is a total pushover, usually.

  • this is far from the worst RPG ever made (yay! some1 mentioned Drekken). It may be hard and tedius bc of the grinding you need to do. Also, if it truely sucks you wouldn't find yourself keep playing it.

  • Wow someone went out of their way to knock on some medicore rpg. I guess he must of forgot about Drakkhen or some of those "D&D " games that were also on the snes.

  • LAWLLIPOP

  • You don't ALWAYS need to defend prior to attacking. You made this mistake on the third attack on battle #1 (although it didn't cost you), and you should have attacked once before using your first pot (you won't take 9 damage in one round and the pot will heal 40 regardless). This may have been enough to kill the Hermit much earlier.

Also you didn't need to run from the last battle because the level up would probably have allowed you to kill the Wyvern.

Also, don't go to Rablesk on level 1.

  • 7th Saga does not suck, although it IS sub-par. Also, having to grind is an horrible way to enhance a game's difficulty level.

  • Ah the old "I suck at this game therefore it sucks" approach. Clever girl.

  • Indeed. I'm in agreement the game can be rough, and long and tedious with all the leveling you have to do, but you can certainly find worse, AND with stories that don't make sense or are thoughtful. ;)

  • @KirbyPufocia

It takes a certain approach to have fun at 7th Saga. I think he's mainly just playing up the ridiculous difficulty for laughs.

Encountering a wyvern+hermit combo followed by a wyvern is rather unlikely, and obviously if you only encountered wyverns in the first area, you'd be pretty much SOL. I do admit to showing off Wyvern-on-level-1 ownage to my friends, myself

  • There are far worse SNES games. The problem is more that this game was designed with a different era's sensibilities in mind. Games still had a tendency to punish the player when this was made. Part of winning in 7th is recognizing trends. If you stay around the castle, you will only fight single hermits. Moving a bit south too soon is what gets you into trouble, much like crossing a bridge in the original Dragon Quest can get you killed if you're not careful.

  • You should have at least stuck around Lemele for a little while, and then healed up in the inn, repeating until you were level 3 or 4. Then you could have gone to the next town. Just because this game requires strategy, LOTS of effort, and a lot of leveling doesn't make it a horrible game. It may be horribly difficult at times, but some people actually like games that challenge them, me being one of them. This game only gets harder later on, so judging by this video, it's probably not for you.
