This looks so cute! I go swing dancing every weekend and would like to try this out, do you have any idea how well this holds through activity? I understand I'll probably need to spray it would a good lot of hairspray. I don't do anything like flips, but I do get through some lifts and pretty serious dips.

@crunchyspringroll It holds really well as long as your fringe (bangs) are long enough, if they don't quite reach but hold with spray you might find them popping out when you dance but if they are firmly in the clips then it is a great style to wear when leaping about. make sure the side sections you take aren;t too thick so the bobby pins don't have a hard job keeping the hair tight to your head and you are good to go.Let me know!!

You make it look so easy! Can you tell me what hair products you had on your hair before you started styling? Because my thick hair is frizzy, I'm used to using a straightener, but using the right products might elimininate the need for that.

@Aviva2121 It's w hile ago now but I am pretty sure that I had just used Aussie leave in conditioner on my hair before this video. It definately wasn't straightened with heat but I could have possibly been wearing it back in a plait asd I often do to keep it from being too poofy.

This is not as easy to do for short, thin hair due to all the extra fly-aways. However, I still found this method of styling my hair very effective. :) My boyfriend loves the fifties-pinup style and now I know how to do it. Thank you! :)

@gg010170 I would say that your best bet is a long or 3/4 top, capri pants and plain ballet pumps, that's really comfortable and casual but still gives the 50's feel. If you prefer a skirt, your best option is an 'A' line. Keep your top relatively tight to create an illusion of fullness in the skirt. I hope this helps!

I have a natural 'cow- lick'(what my best friend calls a cowlick) on my widows peak that always makes it part one way, and gives me seperation too, get assertive with the hair spray and a round brush, and or a smal flat iron and you can overcome it!

@Tabbyrokr4life Okay, If they are reasonable long then you can try to add them up into the pomp, by a little backcombing and hairspray.

If they are shorter then style them in a sweep to the side. with the pomp behind. that always looks cute x

I love my pomp!....I have a fringe which is a bit of a bugger to intergrate into the pomp but a can of hairspray saves the day! LOL!
