Friday, Sept 4th 2009, Chesterfield, Mo. - Reliv International Inc., announces $2.1 million buyout after Founding Distributor 'calls it quits'
Mike Williams of Eureka, Mo. has officially thrown in the towel and sold his distributorship along with his entire downline, directly to the company, according to filings with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission on Aug 30th.
Mr. Williams declined to comment regarding his decision to leave, citing only irreconcilable differences with the company.
The distributorship was one of the more notable, highly-paid positions in Reliv's history. At closing, the companys Chairman, President and Chief Executive Mr. Robert Montgomery, agreed to pay Mike and his wife Julie Williams a lump sum total of $500,000 in liquid cash assets, in addition to paying off over $215,000 of credit card debt that Williams incurred through per diem and living expenses during recent promotional road-tours the company obligated he perform prior to his Aug 30th selloff.
Reliv will then write cheques for the remaining $1.3 million in cash installments of nearly $20,000 per month payments over several years, including a 5% fixed interest rate on adjusted balances, paid to the order of Mike and Julie Williams.
Reliv International of Chesterfield, Mo. is a multi-level marketing (MLM) manufacturer of non-FDA approved dietary supplements. Reliv International & its Board of Directors no longer meet compliance requirements for membership with NASDAQ (effective 05/09).

It's amazing how people see the need to rubbish other companies just to promote their own agenda. For those people who have failed at traditional MLM and think online marketing is the holy gail, know this; your income will follow your personal growth. People leave companies all the time, that reflects the person. So to the guy that made the video, instead of trying to rubbish Reliv, why don't you just be honest and promote the legitimate benefits of your system, you may get more repect that way.

Hey, former Reliv distro and thinking of getting back in. You have a point -- the net is big and it's exciting but don't be fooled, it cannot and will not ever replace face-to-face relationships. It can be a very useful adjunct however. I just left an alternative energy supplier co. since distributorship was limited. Still, my point is that normal sales agents could make $80k plus if they hustled, and 6 figures plus if you build a team. This was all done by direct marketing ... door to door.
(I left because of a combination of factors -- health, overbearing micromanagement, ethical questions about sales tactics, and desire to be doing something more meaningful.)
Unfortunately, everyone and their mom is marketing on the Internet nowadays. How are you going to stand out? I think face to face contact is still where most of the action is, especially if you're talking about building lasting relationships.

The person who put the card in is so stupid, Reliv has great products the best Ive seen. Good Things sell themselfs, I think you and I wouldnt be friends. I am an Director with Reliv. Danny says near the beginning of this video that HE put the card in the book for the example, and that HE used to put cards in books at book stores. I have heard of a lot of ways to get the word out about Reliv, but in over 2 years I've never heard anyone say they put their card in new books at book stores. BTW - We are on the internet. Looks like Danny's objective is to sell himself. Reliv saved my life and the business is great!
A lot of people do network marketing, internet marketing is different, however, social networking is the new buzz word on the net, thing is networkers have been doing that years, as for bigger presence on the web, iI am joining them as I went to their website and they have lots of very good information and free calls to listen too and video etc, having a good company, good products, good payment plan and good sponsor is better than anything !
Reliv is a family owned business. I admit they are old school and I like it that way, they are other people focused and I thank corporate Reliv for giving ordinary people a chance to do something extraordinary. I agree, I'm a Director with Reliv and it would be better if people could sign up as a distributor online at their website instead of having to visit with someone locally or send them paperwork to fill out! However, in my first year of being with the company, I have seen some great improvements on how the company does business... for instance, they have now gone to an "Auto draft" system for distributors and customers to purchase their products each month! My personal experience is that the internet is almost useless in growing my Reliv business. It's the nature of the product. You have to be there to personally help people, in 99.9% of the cases, get the product IN THEIR BODY for an extended period of time so that they can see how well it works. In most cases with people who are relatively anonymous on the net you can't succeed in doing that. Maybe I am just too honest with people :-). But I'm 0 for 100's yet because I care I keep tellin 'em

Mike Williams of Eureka, Mo. has officially thrown in the towel and sold his distributorship along with his entire downline, directly to the company, according to filings with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission on Aug 30th.
Mr. Williams declined to comment regarding his decision to leave, citing only irreconcilable differences with the company.

The distributorship was one of the more notable, highly-paid positions in Reliv's history. At closing, the companys Chairman, President and Chief Executive Mr. Robert Montgomery, agreed to pay Mike and his wife Julie Williams a lump sum total of $500,000 in liquid cash assets, in addition to paying off over $215,000 of credit card debt that Williams incurred through per diem and living expenses during recent promotional road-tours the company obligated he perform prior to his Aug 30th selloff.

Reliv will then write cheques for the remaining $1.3 million in cash installments of nearly $20,000 per month payments over several years, including a 5% fixed interest rate on adjusted balances, paid to the order of Mike and Julie Williams.
Reliv International of Chesterfield, Mo. is a multi-level marketing (MLM) manufacturer of non-FDA approved dietary supplements. Reliv International & its Board of Directors no longer meet compliance requirements for membership with NASDAQ (effective 05/09).

20 years I've taken Reliv Classic or Now. 20 years I've had excellent health. Reliv has the finest nutritional products available on the market.

Reliv International, Is Reliv a Scam? YES, a BIG ONE. Reliv has a high attrition rate and failing in the MLM industry while most others are exponentially growing in this bad economy. Sadly, Reliv relies heavily on new distributors to use old school Hotel-meeting-hype and 'hard-selling' tricks to warm-market lists (family & friends) or turn your back on them if they say "No." In Reliv, its do or die, join the cult or get outta town. You succeed or get black-listed by the Reliv Inner-Circle Elite.

It's amazing how people see the need to rubbish other companies just to promote their own agenda. For those people who have failed at traditional MLM and think online marketing is the holy gail, know this; your income will follow your personal growth. People leave companies all the time, that reflects the person. So to the guy that made the video, instead of trying to rubbish Reliv, why don't you just be honest and promote the legitimate benefits of your system, you may get more repect that way.

Hey, former Reliv distro and thinking of getting back in. You have a point -- the net is big and it's exciting but don't be fooled, it cannot and will not ever replace face-to-face relationships. It can be a very useful adjunct however. I just left an alternative energy supplier co. since distributorship was limited. Still, my point is that normal sales agents could make $80k plus if they hustled, and 6 figures plus if you build a team. This was all done by direct marketing ... door to door.

Unfortunately, everyone and their mom is marketing on the Internet nowadays. How are you going to stand out? I think face to face contact is still where most of the action is, especially if you're talking about building lasting relationships.

I didn't leave the energy co because "distributorship was limited" -- that's a typo. What I meant to say is, their model was not strictly MLM since distributorships were limited and tightly controlled by the co.

I totally agree with you, I'm a Master Affilate of reliv. Ive been Involved with reliv for 2 years, and I am very disapointed of how some share reliv. The person who put the card in is so stupid, Reliv has great products the best Ive seen. Good Things sell themselfs, I think you and I wouldnt be friends. But I agree alot of what you have said, Excellent job.

I am an Director with Reliv. Danny says near the beginning of this video that HE put the card in the book for the example, and that HE used to put cards in books at book stores. I have heard of a lot of ways to get the word out about Reliv, but in over 2 years I've never heard anyone say they put their card in new books at book stores. BTW - We are on the internet. Looks like Danny's objective is to sell himself. Reliv saved my life and the business is great!

A lot of people do network marketing, internet marketing is different, however, social networking is the new buzz word on the net, thing is networkers have been doing that years, as for bigger presence on the web, iI am joining them as I went to their website and they have lots of very good information and free calls to listen too and video etc, having a good company, good products, good payment plan and good sponsor is better than anything !

Reliv is a family owned business. I admit they are old school and I like it that way, they are other people focused and I thank corporate Reliv for giving ordinary people a chance to do something extraordinary. The products truly change people's life and so does the business opportunity. I hope God will continue to bless this company because they love and serve people and have great ethics and integrity.

Reliv is a wonderful company Michelle. I am glad you saw through the video and noticed the absolute POWER of what I was really doing with this (Reliv International) video. Reliv distributors have not seen the power of this medium because nobody is showing them how to do it right. You and I are changing that. For Reliv and any other MLM.

I agree, I'm a Director with Reliv and it would be better if people could sign up as a distributor online at their website instead of having to visit with someone locally or send them paperwork to fill out! However, in my first year of being with the company, I have seen some great improvements on how the company does business... for instance, they have now gone to an "Auto draft" system for distributors and customers to purchase their products each month! My personal experience is that the internet is almost useless in growing my Reliv business. It's the nature of the product. You have to be there to personally help people, in 99.9% of the cases, get the product IN THEIR BODY for an extended period of time so that they can see how well it works. In most cases with people who are relatively anonymous on the net you can't succeed in doing that. Maybe I am just too honest with people :-). But I'm 0 for 100's yet because I care I keep tellin 'em

Well, dat's one of possible ways to market a certain opportunity, ads are spreading all over walks of media, and that's sort off, Im a RELIV distributor too, but i can't do that, I believe with the mission of RELIV - Nourishing the World in body, mind and spirit!

SWEATING? I DON'T THINK SO. YOU SHOULD REALLY GO TO A RELIV MEETING AND SEE WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO. WE'RE NOT JUST ANY MLM. I TRIED OTHER MLMs AND THEY JUST FOCUS ON MONEY. RELIV FOCUSES ON THE INDIVIDUAL PERSON. WE FOCUS ON PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH OUR CUSTOMERS, HELPING THEM, ANSWERING QUESTIONS AND CHECKING UP ON THEM. OUR MISSION IS TO NOURISH OUR WORLD. I am totally with you brother. Why in the age of web 2.0 is such an established company like reliv telling their distributors to use 'archaic' marketing strategies that just P#&S people off!
Branding is the only way to survive in any business online or off! If you dont stand out from the crowd you're pretty much doomed to failure- yeh, I said the 'F' word!
Every network marketer on the planet should be branding themselves just to stay alive!

(Reliv) people must be stupid NOT to have a bigger presence on the web. As a All4One mentor I know that branding is key. Thanks for the book suggestion Danny - I know what you recommend is always much more valuable than the price one pays for it. If I were a reliv MLM distributor, I would really go onto the web instead of including my reliv business card into books.
