No. They aren't specifically told to sway side to side. It is not discourage however. Usually judges don't mind - only once in my four years in choir did a judge mark the choir down for it.
@sommer1974 Yeah, judges generally don't care. It's not like they were constantly fixing their hair or anything actually distracting. Swaying's always been fine.
Interesting, my all-male chorus sang this. This is good, no offense, but it's missing testosterone. This is a song that definitely needs a male voice somewhere in it.

Were they told to sway from side to side? Judges would destroy us if we did that. Nice tone, but shouldn't clip "lu" on Allelu-ia....
