Looks freezing! .. doesn't half bring back memories of the whiney electric motor at the traffic lights the initial burst of power!! when i used to help a couple of milkmen when back in the school days.. Great stuff. Should do a video of the summer now to show one extreme to the other and how nice it is in summer ;)
Now have been for 16 yrs...it's great to see winters like that...I remember 1981 was the last time it snowed like that...I used to do a paper round around bonhay road...takes me back. Great vid...... Lee
@whiteknightmovies Hi. Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. There no problems with freshness that day. Did you see my other video called 'The River Exe frozen.....'? It was recorded on an even colder morning, you will see that all the milk had frozen solid. Gary
@garylq Hey I am the postie for West Garth Road!! How did you manage to drive your milk float up there? The H bus got stuck at the junction with Ridgeway!!
Hi Gary thank you very much for your reply. The reason I asked which camera you used is that part of the film looks as if you used a head cam. I had a look at the HDR-SR10, nice bit of kit and very small to, things have come on since the days when a camcorder used a full sized VHS tape caste.
@johnrussellpatrick Hi, yep, these modern HDD cams are fantastic. No tapes/DVDs required just plug it into your PC and take it off in seconds. I was holding the cam in my hand at all times when recording this vid. Gary
Great Video it really took me back to when I worked for Unigate - 9 years on retail and 13 years on the wholesale. I took the redundancy when they got taken over again. Biy were those bottles cold !!!
@19beavers Hi, thanks, those bottles were freezing cold for about 6 months this winter, it was a real luxury when you picked up one that had only just been put out and was still nice and warm. Gary
IM in the usa And i was wondering what sizes are you delievering because im highly considering buying delievered but i need to know glass and specifics so can you help me?
Thanks for this! I'm an Exeter exile, trying to work out how best to get home from the Midlands.. Unlike you, I haven't the cojones to risk driving on those roads!
It's nice to know that retired milkfloats are still coming in useful elsewhere! I was in the spare van that day, my usual one was off the road for repairs.
I forgot it was that bad!

Nice filming and editing with captions, what camera did you use, thanks for posting, JP.

@johnrussellpatrick Hi, thank-you very much. The camcorder is a Sony HDR-SR10, the captions are standard Youtube annotations. Gary

All the main roads are clear now, though more snow might change that.
