  • FINALLY a guide about cosplay make-up

  • Do you know of any places to buy bb cream online??

  • It really help ty

  • @elpheal haha hi-5!! (/^w^)/

sorry for the randomness, but i don't usually see s'porean cos-ers other than in sgcafe. :3

could you do a nasic cosplay makeup tutorial?

  • Are you from singapore?

  • @KagayamiRuka yep

  • What fake lashes did u use? I bought mine from sasa. You know the price difference between korean and jap eyelashes is very great. Which is btr?

  • @jiebol17 I think I was using lashes from THEFACESHOP . That's pretty much the only Korean fake lash I've tried. Frankly speaking, both Japanese & Korean lashes are good. It just depends on the brand and style you buy and your personal need. Dolly wink has very natural but dramatic looking fiber but the lash bone is too soft for my preference.

  • you are very pretty

  • Kaika-sama's outfit and makeup are really pretty and her instructions are really easy to understand! *A* I'll probably screw up my cousin's Chrome makeup less, thank you!

  • OHMEGOSH! Your voice is so KAWAII!! ^///^

  • Can you do a makeup tutorial? :D

  • This tutorial is awesome, thanks! ^^

But i'm a male cosplayer...do you have any make up tips for me? @__@

  • @LeoLawliet USe matte makeup :D?

  • @elpheal Thanks, i'll try! °-°

  • i have a question about fake lashes... okay so everyone puts mascara on them after the fake lashes.. can you also put mascara primer on before as well??

  • @GeekyGirl9000 I skip mascara for my upper lashes if I'm wearing fake lashes =/ I personally think applying mascara to my real lashes just makes them stand out more =\

  • @elpheal okay!! thanks!!

  • This was very helpful. :) I'll be attending my first con in the fall (first time cosplaying), and this gives me something to start off of. Thanks a bunch!

  • I really want to cosplay soo badly but what bothers me is my mole on my face...I have like 2 moles on my face ( under the left eye & above my lip (left side)...i'm quite disturb & at the same time envy people who can cosplay beacuse they don't have such mole on their faces that's why it's easier for them to cosplay..T^T...I'm asian btw~..what can I do?:'(..

  • @amarfi09 You can easily hide a mole with a good quality concealer. I find that maybelline cover stick concealers work very well! And it's good if you're in a budget :D

  • @Sushiibunniie THaank you!xD...soo much..( i never thought about that~ -__-'')....i really thank u!:D...

  • Thank you a lot for the tips! Love your tutorials on cosplay! <3

  • this is so helpful! arigatou :). anyway, i'm an asian and the color of my skin bothers me a lot when cosplaying, i have a very brown skin tone coz i play tennis in school, any advice? :) waiting for your reply :) thanks in advance

  • @theElvenfairy Well if you're happy with it then just leave it that way and use a foundation of the same skintone :) Lightening skin can be really difficult but I guess you could try using foundation 2 shades lighter

  • @elpheal i tried using lighter foundations and it didn't work that well. i will just stick with the same skin tone foundation. i love my skin color and i'm beginning to feel a little bit insecure when cosplaying because mostly animes have white skin (and other cosplayers have), which i don't :'(. but i love cosplaying, which i will continue doing. Thank you so much for the reply :)♥♥♥

  • do you think i would need fake lashes, i don't have particularaly long eyelashes but my eyes are quite large. and i am a girl cosplaying as hatsune miku

  • @copperbuddy30 Fake lashes are always welcomed ^^

  • Your so pretty! Your such an inspiration haha =D ty for your tips. I enjoyed your video very much. ^-^ kawaiii~desuu

  • You did a wonderful job on this introductory tutorial on cosplay makeup. You were enthusiastic, you wanted to help us financially, and you used a lot of defining words that show the importance of the small things. I just wanted to give you a big thank you for this video.

  • @classyrocker08 awww thanks!

  • You did a wonderful job with this introductory tutorial on cosplay makeup. I really enjoyed it. You were information, you wanted to help us financially, and you used a broad amount of descriptive words! I just wanted to give you a really big THANK YOU! ^_^

  • thank you so much for this advice! this was so helpful!

  • Hmm... As much as I love crossplaying, it's useful to learn about makeup from another Asian for the times I actually need to be a girl. This was really helpful to me. Thanks for making this tutorial~! ^-^

  • Usually I think that even though cosplayers don't normally wear anything on their lips they should at least apply a nude lipstick and a lip gloss over it. It really makes the eyes pop out more because the lips don't draw too much attention away

  • i love how this is just basic and is basic for almost any character ^^ the tips also work for me because although im caucasian, i have some subtle asian features. and kaika i have to say, youre so cute!!! i love your headband, to ^^

  • i like it!! wanna try it now... ^^ thanks for sharing.

  • Very simple and hits all the basics. It's a good and informative video for the minimals. I liked it :) You're so pretty too!

  • Thank you very much! This is handy for me, because I don't wear makeup but plan on trying it to enhance my cosplays. :)

Can you recommend a brand of makeup or a shop or online store??

  • @Neonprettykitty Hmmm I'm a drugstore make up user because I'm cheap like that xD But pureluxe has some really nice eyeshadow=)

  • @elpheal Thanks! :)

  • Can you do a demonstration tutorial? Please? :)

  • Kaika, what BB Cream do you use? :D

  • great video!

can you do a video for crossplay?

    girls dressed up as boys

  • @keylimex Hmmmm...which portion would you like me to talk/focus on?

  • @elpheal I would love to see a video just on basic crossplay makeup.

i realy am clueless when it comes to makeup but i crossplay all the time so this would realy help me and i bet it would help many others out also ^^

  • Kaika looks amazing in white.. : 3

  • I was actually looking into makeup for my cosplay THANK YOU~ ^_^

  • Are circle lens needed for cosplay?

  • @lingling4x3 Not really but it's good to have because of their magnifying effect =)

  • @elpheal thank you! ^^

  • Thank you for this it was very helpful ^_^

  • ah, very good! I have never worn makeup before, I always borrow from my friends during cons. because of this, i am much more well informed. thank you very much!

  • <3

  • Thank you for this video! Very helpful. ^_^

  • I love the way you say "character". It's so cute <3

  • When it comes to eyeliners, I notice that it usually goes like this: Beginner: Pencil eyeliner, Intermediate: Liquid Eyeliner, and Expert: Gel Liner. Love love eyeliners and fake lashes too. Thanks Kaika!!

  • @illisssy Glad you enjoyed the video. Personally I wouldn't consider gel liners as expert though ...

  • 1000 words! good choice for ur MBG

  • Uploaded the day before my con, you're psychic!

  • bought eyelashes at Daiso? =))) Their glue is super dry and super sticky and stinky as well :-&

  • agreed on the color pallet but wtf :(( I always end up buying them :(( It made me bankrupt now :(( and so many costumes I have to invest into :(( shit :(((

  • What kind of lashes are your favourites?

  • very useful. I would be more useful if you list the products (such as foundation or bbcream) that you use *x*

  • haha guilty for using foundation that is fairrer.. XD!!

  • Sugoi! Are kawaii bow! Translation: wow! That's a cute bow! Translation over. ^^ Kaika-san did you make that?! If you did plz make a video and show me how. +_+"

  • @AniMeg4321 Sono yumi wa kawaii***

  • @PirateSkitchan Eh heh. Gomen. I don't know a that much Japanese. Could you please tell me what you said. I know sono means number, right? And I obviously know what kawaii means but what about yumi and wa? -_0

  • @AniMeg4321 ...I corrected your Japanese. "Sono" is when you're designating something close to the reader (aka Kaika). "yumi" means "bow". "Are" is used when you're pointing at something that is far from yourself and who you're talking to. Ex: You're in a store and you want to point at something to say it's cute, then it's "Are wa kawaii".

  • @PirateSkitchan Oh. Thank you for clearing that up then. ^///^

  • @AniMeg4321 The bow? yeah...DIYed =)

  • @elpheal Ooh! Yay! Arigato Kaika-san! o(^_^)o"

  • @elpheal Um, I forgot to ask. Do you mind making a video tutorial. Sorry if it's too much trouble, but if you do one, if you know how, do you mind doing instead a bow that's the style of Rin's from Vocaloid. I'm REEEAAALLLY sorry if I asked for to much. >.<'

  • @AniMeg4321 I'll think about it =)

  • @elpheal Thank you. ^^

  • It's a good talking video about make-up for cosplayers. As a male who cosplays make-up is very important but there aren't a lot of people doing boy makeup, there are guys doing make-up, but those are mostly for ladies. This was a good gender neutral tutorial, thanks Kaika!

  • @Shipper08 Thank you for enjoying it =)

  • I liked it ! You give really useful advice !

I'm caucasian and I use the same products as yours :)

Thank you, I enjoy when you do that kind of video ♥

  • great vid, kaika! (:

  • I have darker skin and last time i used liquid foundation and not powder but i dont think skin tone matters for this question.

How do you keep make up from getting on your cosplay outfits or wigs ?

  • @AtarashiiAkai Setting powder or some kind of powder base that will match your foundation.

  • @AtarashiiAkai I don't know much 'cause I've never acctually cosplayed before, but I would think to put the outfit on first. Leave the wig off until you finish your makeup. That's what i would do anyway. Hope I helped even just a little. ^^

  • @AtarashiiAkai Get foundation with better staying power. Also like what someone else mentioned, wear your costume before you do your make up =)

  • @AtarashiiAkai Setting liquid foundation with powder makes a huge difference when it comes to its staying powder. Get translucent powder or a powder that matches your liquid foundation.

  • im a sch agn, doing cosplay soon, do i have to groom my eyebrows ?

  • @Drakex15 It's always good to have groomed brows even if you don't cosplay =)

  • haha you're so cute! ^^ Thanks, this video was very helpful. :)

  • where did u buy the sample pots? i live in canada.

  • @alizaro I got mine from Pureluxe =)

  • @elpheal thnkx!!!
