This made me feel so much better. I'm getting full braces on Monday and this looked a little tough but nothing to worry about. Plus, I already have my top braces. I have the chain, but not the full one. The chain with the wire on it. It doesn't hurt at all until the 2 day when you wake up.. IT KILLS! Just for a bit though.

@101fatmoo actually that blue stuff is called etch it is a acid that they put on for roughly seconds to make some micro holes in your tooth so the glue they put on has something to hold on too.

Holy crap was this done to cut the time in half??? My ortho and his assistant did mine one bracket at a time. I would of been terrified if this ortho placed my brackets with a tray and getting that scissor so close to my gums! That expander looks uncomfortable :( I hope I don't have to get one during my process.

@Sky0fLov3 normally expanders are just for mouths that are too small or cramped xD I had to get one on top and bottom, they hurt and its sooo hard to talk at first =/ ...now I have braces and expanders...yay orthodontics~

It's to get like all the spit out so your mouth is like dried out. :) they use that at my dentists all the time like after they clean your teeth they spray water then they use the white straw thing. it collects all the spit. i hope that answers your question.

what is the method you are using called im going in for my consultation on Thur. and i looked at a few videos about braces and The Damon [spell check] method is used by putting the brackets on one by one this method seems much more faster
