There was a bit of commotion a couple of years ago when Kalou should have gone to the WC but didn't get his passport. Eventually he got it. The joke in this commercial is that Kalou went to Germany for his passport and started playing for the German team. Rita Verdonk is the woman who was responsible for Kalou not getting the passport.
