  • lol mine does that too!!

  • My Yellow sided green cheek is the same way she is always next to me I love it very caring birds I love them <3

  • Cute!

Jasper, my GCC also does that, but he's just as happy zooming around the house with his little pal, Charlie, a Canary-Winged 'keet.

You can see some vids of them & my previous birds by clicking my name, below.

  • cute

  • Mine does the same thing it's so cute!

  • Aaaw how old was he in this video?

  • Mine is the same way, I have a girl pineapple conure, and we do everything together, go to the shops, take showers together, bake together, and share our food together lol...she even sleeps with me :) We are often cuddled up together under the doona, her buried under my neck sound asleep

  • Haha mine is the same way. We watch TV together but he thinks he has to be up against my face. :)

  • Thank you for getting your bird a friend. Birds are extremely social and they get terribly lonely when left alone all day. For those who have needy birds, please spend more time with them, gently interacting and playing with them every day. They desperately need attention and a little daily, positive interaction will go a long way. You will discover that these "clingy" birds are less clingy throughout the day when you spend quality time with them. Happy birds are less needy .

  • there is a video of a clingy green cheek conure honey doing dog tricks like fetch and shake its called clingy Green Cheek Conure tricks

  • aw i love that...!

i fell in love with a green cheek yesterday at petsmart and he seemed to be very fond of me as well... whenever i went up to the glass he came right to me and acted very cute, but he didn't do it for my boyfriend or my mom... i want him soo bad...!

  • awe! I wish my ggc lucy is like that, i'm still trying to tame her, which is going slowly but at least its going lol; cute bird :)

  • @2Cuzinz I wish Sonic was still that clingy. He's not like that anymore. We started working longer hours and was concerned that he would be lonely at home so we got him a friend, and the draw back to that is that he bcame less clingy with us =( oh well at least he has a friend throughout the day to keep him company.

  • @nana2226 I have the same issue, work for our family is taking away from time with out gcc. I can definitely notice a change in his attitude and I need to fix it quickly before he becomes a mad bird. Do you know how birds respond to "new friends" if they are used to being on their own? My gcc is 8 years old

  • @roofy2k Speaking from my own experience...yes! Sonic was very quiet, but when we bought Eva, she was a full green cheek who was pretty vocal, Sonic started becoming more vocal. Now they both scream in the morning to get our attention

  • D'aww that is such the sweetest thing I have ever seen!

  • We got our Green cheek last year, and the breeder warned us that all parrots require LOTS of attention daily. We are able to give ours hours of our time each day, which makes him a happy bird. I really am glad we chose this breed, because they're not very noisy, and are very affectionate.

  • Mine is like this too, I spend far too much time with him lol.

  • He is so cute and calm. My green cheek is always running, climbing, jumping, preening my hair, sitting on my head, diving into my shirt, and getting into all kinds of trouble!

  • awwww that so cute maybe he is just cold?

  • Thats adorable

  • Aaaww! So pretty! He's a yellow sided conure, am I right? My Conure has to at least have me in his line of sight or he goes to find me lol. They're clingy but cute little birds.

  • song please??? the first one

  • aw thats so cute!! how old is Sonic? im thinking about getting a conure myself. How are they?

  • my green cheeks like this too ! if i let her out, and leave the room, she will actuallysearch he whole houe fore me.

she always needsto be by me. cuuuteee conure !

  • my green cheeks like this too !

she always needsto be by me. cuuuteee conure !

  • Aww cuddle buds!

  • Looks like a cross between a yellow sided and green cheek. But its cute! Reminds me of my little guy who wants to be held all day long.

  • Yes, they say not to get two because they will bond and then you will not be able to bond with them.

Everyone says to only have one as your buddy. Mine sleeps all day and eats his food. When I get home we play for an hour or two, eat dinner together and I will rub his belly when I am on the couch.

  • I have a green cheek also. She's soo cute and doesn't really press up against my arm. But she LOVE to climb all over you, eat your hair, play with any earring or piercings you have. She also loves to sit on your head. Its her favorite perch. Heh. Her name is Eden. I love her. :]

  • So cute....she just wants to be with her mommy!

  • Awesome

  • yours looks like a yellow sided one :)

really cute looks just like my green cheek PJ

  • these are some awesome birds!

  • My conure follows me around, for example Ill set her down in the kitchen on the counter then go walk off into the living room. Then Ill turn around and next thing I know theres a bird flying towards me.

  • he's sooo cute!!!

  • o.o

    That...is so...cute.

  • Mine does thatexact thing to !!! lol weirddd

  • aaaww...birdie love:) my GCC doesn't have to be with me at all times but when he wants to cuddle, you better cuddle him! if you try to put him back on his cage and he's not done cuddling, he truns himself into a little ball and bites you until he gets more cuddles:)

  • my conure poses like that!! its so cute!!

  • Your conure is so sweet and adorable <3

  • Thank you! Yes he is very sweet. A few months back we got him a mate, another green cheek conure to entertain him while we were at to work, now he doesn't like to hang out with me anymore, he just wants to play with his playmate which makes me so sad =( but I guess its good for him to have a friend

  • we put our conure in the same cage as a cockatiel, and he bonded with it. he doesn't let us pet him, but he lets us hold him.

  • @nana2226 Once they pair up they really don't need us much. I separated my pair so they interact with us and can play with each other during play time.

  • @nana2226 woow ur conure is so cute .. i m getting one this month ..u know i had 1 lovebird he always used to play with me but bcoz i got another lovebird for him... they always play with each other now he plays with me but not let me touch anymore :(

n when i look at them i feel so jealous ..

  • Adorable!

  • Your little bird is adorable! It's so cute how he keeps snuggling up next to you!

  • That's so funny- my GC is like that too- she always wants me or hubby.

  • lol soo cute i have one and sun conure and african gray parot all so cute

  • I couldn't ever have my green cheek walk around on the table. She won't have it. She wants nothing but to be on me at all times, haha.

  • Aww, my tiel would cuddle up to my face like that when I laid down on the couch to watch a movie.

  • aww yours is cute. is it a normal colored GCC? how old?

  • He has a little more color than a normal green cheek conure. Usually green cheeks do not have a maroon belly, but ours has yellow and marron on his belly. Sonic is about 1.5 years old and has a huge attitude for a little bird. We are actually thinking about getting a second one to keep him company =)

  • so cute!!!

  • absolutely beautiful! Chester, my GCC is clingy like that also. He always wants to be right next to us and now that he's free flight, it's hard to say no! :)

  • soooo cute. we're thinking of getting one :)

  • these birds can be extremely clingy, especially if you let them grow their wings out. They'll fly to you any change they get and just want to be with you all day. Be prepared for this, if you decide to get one. They are alot of fun, but sometimes annoying if you don't want to be bothered. Hehehe

  • well we had a lil parokeet named Cici and we loved him dearly, he passed away in July, he was clingy at times but could also be independent. My dad is home during the day so the bird won't be alone of feel alone very much, i think my parents wouldn't mind the clingyness.
