You can get it from Alquima Labs, but it shares a like .5% drop rate with every other classes books, so chances of you seeing a book is rare. Chances of seeing your book is even rarer.

A great spot for mages is in the Storm Circle. They can lure them up the stairs, and jump up/down a step whenever they get too close.
