You can see she's had to fight for her dignity all her life and there wasn't anything they could throw at her she hadn't heard a thousand times before, because small-minded jerks (and that IS what the audience was, despite their conversion in the face of undeniable talent) are all the same and not very clever.

I might actually consider entering if I'd remembered to bring my instruments with me. That would be Baritone, Trombone, and Trumpet. Also, it may help if I could read treble clef (I'm in school and I was taught on Trombone/Baritone, and taught myself Trumpet later on. I just never got around to learning Treble Clef).

I checked out Susan Boyle in the vid and it was really something.!!!.

It made me think, just how many people out there who are very talented and highly intelligent but just can't get an avenue to release that energy in them.

Think of it like, there could be Einsteins out there but living in remote places unable to explore what their abilities (but one thing u must admit anyone involve in religion will probably be out of range).

I get kinda bored of seeing Susan Boyle all the time, even still. She's got an OK voice, yes. But it was completely blown out of proportion by the fact that we weren't expecting it. The media played on this and turned her into a national celebrity in days. About the "not expecting it" bit, up until now in modern music, we've only seen aesthetically good looking artists, because they appeal to the teenage market. This was the one exception, and it turned Susan into a giant advert.
