It's all a scam. L Ron Hubbard was a charlatan. Hubbard didn't scheme up Dianetics and $cientology to help people he created a scam to rip people off.

If there's anything of value inside $cientology I guarantee you can find it elsewhere for free or a lot cheaper.

If $cn was reasonable it wouldn't charge excessively and come with legal disclaimers, waivers, contracts and clauses. And it sure as hell won't be trademarked and copyrighted by a corporation and viciously defended by lawyers.

I'm one with a personal friend who was ripped off by Scientologists. My friends son wrote to Hubbard and got a personal reply noting Hubbard personally directed the Detriot Sceintology Church to finish paying my friend back. Detroit then resumed small payments on the refund, but never did finish repaying for services not received. So yes, terrible scamming goes on in Scientology. But as I say, there is good in it. Clueless people quite unaware write in an all encompassing fashion here. SAD

What's in the writings is largely quite good, and that's just the way it is it think (with notable exceptions). It's sad that mainstream head doctors don't take advantage of some form of the "auditing" Hubbard developed, because it is plainly a fast track to the same sort of successes mainstream head doctors tout as the best results they get (if rarely for them), in a zillion books.

Hubbard would call such folks dangerous (not properly trained, might hurt someone, he'd say), but I'll believe that's a huge issue when I meet a fully sane and controlled scientologist.
