I listen to as much diverse metal bands as I can, from Black Sabbath to Megadeth to Slipknot to Immolation to Darkthrone to Iced Earth... I try to be as open as possible. there is something that makes me sad about this band. It's that their songs are so fucking strange. Every world is a whole fucking world on its own. I haven't bought any of their albums yet since I'm new into the genre, but every Immolation song I've listened to has just left me in awe. I can't quite get their philosophy as a band, every song makes me wonder, "How much more epic can it get?"
Most of the people I've come across who are bigots, racists, hypocrites, or just plain two-faced are Christians or deeply religious people. I've ran into very few non-religious people who are actually like that. How ironic...

Truly a piece of original death metal. It's always great when a band tries something totally different, and manages to create some great music. And best of all; the music sounds organic. This album and Gorguts' "Obscura" are grande creative achievements in a genre that haven't had much to offer since 1995.
I'm looking forward to their new album. It's propably gonna kick ass.
Never quite got the hang of Cryptopsy I'm afraid... :( It's something about Flo's drumming that doesn't appeal to me, but I can understand why people like them. But Amen to Obscura, of corpse. ;)
This is how anti-religion lyrics should be done. All the 'BLARGH JESUS I CUNT AND I WILL RAPE HIM WITH HIS CROSS' is entertaining for a short while, but these lyrics are just kicking religion in the nuts rather than writing nasty comments on it's Myspace.
I don't think any band ever did the whole anti-religion thing better than immolation, especially all the goat-whorship, hail-satan, burn church black metal bands.
